I’m trying to insert my AdSense code in a Sidebar Ad (following the guide) but in my front page I only see a blank iframe with the Box Ad Title:
First of all, from the Theme Panel -> Adv -> Sidebar Ad, I inserted my Adsense Code in “YOUR SIDEBAR AD” form. Then I inserted the Ad Box Sidebar in my web page (with visual composer), selected the Sidebar Adv previously created and gave it Ad Title.
The result: only the Ad Title is visible in my home page.
I put the “[tagDiv] Ad box widget” in the “Newspaper Defaut” area too, but I see only the Ad Title, anyway.
Where is the mistake?
Thank you
Michele
Hello ojuju,
Please keep in mind that the footer and the header are the same for the entire website and should appear. So, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
1. Access your homepage in the page section of wordpress and press edit on the one that is specified as ‘front page’
2. press the little pencil icon on the first row in visual composer. http://screencast.com/t/Mkfwu2y9NoY2
3. change the image from the row settings: http://screencast.com/t/KZ4c3lHA6r
I hope this helps.
Hello jpagora,
Keep in mind that the Visual Composer is fully tested with the theme and it should work as properly. Please try to disable the old theme, delete it and make a new clean install from scratch only with required plugins and rule out any conflicts. So, you should make this online via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about this, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Also, please make sure that your system status is right increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

This is the layout I have on page:
http://pasteboard.co/6ahnxBoKa.png
But on frontend the css grid is broken and all columnd get 100% width, because .vc_column_container ‘s width: 100% kills .td-pb-span8‘s width: 66.666%:
http://pasteboard.co/6aiXWEp2u.png
I’m using child theme.
How do I fix this?
Hello,
you will have to play around in visual composer a bit and learn how to add and remove content blocks from your pages. Please dit the page from the wordpress pages section and access the backend editor to see the page content. Then in order to remove an element, press the little trash-bin icon. http://screencast.com/t/geTSMSLgx
Thank you!
Hello,
There could be something wrong with the post in particular. The html seems to be there but nothing comes up inside the container. Please try to edit your post and see if there is any open html tag in text mode.
This could also be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
2 of your issues are related to plugins so the other 2 could also be related to them.

Hello Melissa,
Please notice that if you have disabled the Visual Composer, the theme will not recognize the VC element without it and that’s why the website will come down. You should keep Visual Composer enabled. Also, you can try to use our tagDiv Composer page builder because this will recognize the Visual Composer shortcode (regarding only for Blocks and modules and not for original Visual Composer elements).
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide more accurate response.
Hope this helps!

Hello all,
The latest fully compatible version of Visual Composer come bundled with the latest version of the theme. Please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
What version of the theme do you use and what version of visual composer? Do you receive the error without the events calendar plugin (not tested)?
Hello,
This could be related top images as you say in your vide so please use this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRrG3K4vjsk
Another possible fix: http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/wordpress/http-image-error
As for the ad you see on the post, that is no featur image, it is an artilce top ad. Please3 check the article top ad in your ads section of the theme panel and remove the article top ad.
I want to clarify something as I can see you probably think the theme is to blame for these “glitches” but it’s not :). They are problems you get locally on your end, not something that is happening for everybody. It could be a server configuration, it could even be a plugin conflict. Please try this without any plugins as well. disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
I hope this helps.
You can add links to images when adding them into your posts and selecting what you want the image to link to like so: http://screencast.com/t/v8FupV4jRc
Thank you!
Please update your version of visual composer by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and remove any custom js you may have on your site. Remove any at all customization.
I;m not sure why you get the get_header error on the twentysixteen theme path though.
Where are you getting these errors? please provide the test you are running
Thank you!

Hello,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer and seo yoast, clear cache and test again. It is working fine on our end so there could be a plugin conflict or other sources affecting the add media button
Thank you!
Hello votranhtuhi,
Now, you should use the Visual Composer 4.12.1 because the 5 version of Visual Composer has not been tested yet. We will consider doing that in our future updates. Until this, you should use the 4.12.1 version. Clear all your caches and check the results. Notice that the Widgetised sidebar is fully tested with the theme and until now we do not have any bad reports in this regard.
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
The trending now element can be found in the visual composer element list named ‘news ticker’: http://screencast.com/t/PuBFunaX It can be used as any other blocks on pages
Thank you!
Hello portuga,
I guess that you are using some plugin for your Disqus with this functionality because our theme does not have this -> http://screencast.com/t/jsSjbbeyA7mp I have tested on my site, without any plugins and the comment area title is there. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and check the results.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
You should disable all plugins except visual composer and the simple press forums and then check again. There may be a plugin conflict affecting the sidebar. Another issue could be the post itself. The sidebar is very sensitive to open html tags. Please check your post in text/html mode and check any open tags.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer and wp super cache as there could be another plugin conflicting with wp super cache. Please only use these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you!
Hello,
On pages you have to create the sidebar in visual composer on a split row or use the widgetized sidebar to pull a sidebar from the widgets area.
Thank you!
Hello simply_shelby_h,
I have checked your website on mobile and the website seems to work as properly, and the featured images still working fine. Where is the problem? Also, I have checked your console and I saw that you are some js errors within it. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled wit the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello tifrancis,
Please keep in mind that all of these are simply blocks which can be added from the panel, using the Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/xondyW2CxsoL For more information about how you can use the Visual Composer, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/
Hope this helps!

Hello mrztaha,
Please notice that you should be logged in as administrator if you want to have some permission to use the Visual Composer editor, otherwise, you will have no permission. Also, please ensure that you are using the latest version theme which comes bundled with the latest version of required plugins. Also, make sure that your system status is properly increased in order to achieve best results, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Hope this helps!

Hello orlando,
Unfortunately, the theme has not been designed to use the category template on posts, sorry! Another alternative for you in this regard would be to enable the Visual Composer for posts and then you should add what type of Big Brig and Modules/Blocks you like from there. You should follow this steps if you want to enable the VC on posts, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/8hbhhzvV
Please keep in mind that the Visual Composer has not been fully tested with the posts and it could be possible to need some additional customizations in order to achieve best results. So, if you are not aware doing all of these, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!
