Make sure you update the Visual Composer plugin from /plugins folder included i theme’s path. The older version of VC have some issues with new version of WordPress so make sure you update the plugin at V 4.11.2, here is our update documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

I am not sure why this happens as it’s not an error relate with the theme, it’s related with your wp-install. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test again. Also check if your permisions on uploads folder are set correct. That happens because you’re using latest version of WordPress which generate a jQuery conflict with V 2.3.5 or older of Newsmag. We updated the theme and included the latest version of Visual Composer, V 4.11.2, which is testes and works fine with WordPress. Can I run the theme without Visual composer? I’m not a fan of page builders – too much code and I would like to keep my site as light as possible. I’ve just installed it and it seems to run fine without it. Just checking with you that this won’t cause any major issues!? Let me know. Thanks. John
All of a sudden visual composer doesn’t work anymore. Only as backend editor. In the classic mode (do I say that correct? Don’t I switch the two around) I see a block with Visual Composer, but the actual page content itself no more. I have deactivated all plugins and cleared the browser cache. Then checked again. Doesn’t help me.

The strange thing is, Visual Composer says I have to pay for it. I have, so therefore can’t update.
the vc/jscomposer plugin is in the ‘all files’ download from themeforest in the oddest of places — the plugins folder! — so, you might try getting it from there.

You need to update both theme and plugin to fix issue with WP 4.5.
Delete old jscomposer folder in your plugins folder, upoload new one. Clear caching/CDN, and also transients using wp-optimize or similar.

You need new version of theme and Visual Composer update released yesterday.
I can see from the forums that Visual Composer is impacting lots of people since it stopped working a couple of DAYS ago. This is bad for all of us with business websites that have purchased your product in good faith. Can you pls advise when this well be rectified so we can pacify our customers.
Hi i have problem with the the Visual Composer after updating wordpress, When I edit page content, see that Visual Composer box text doesn’t display the content I can’t see the content and the elements were frozen i cannot event edit my home page
Like others my visual composer stopped working. I tried to update the VC using the instructions in the forums but, when I get to “upload plugin/choose” I cannot find the vc file in my plugins. The other plugins are there, but not VC.
Via FTP delete the jscomposer folder in plugins folder.
Install clean version.
You may need to clear all caching/CDN as applicable; also clear ‘transients’ using WP-optimize.
Always keep backup of working site as snapshot so you can roll back if needed.

Anexo la manera de solucionar el problema del Visual Composer en Español:
Paso 1: Entrar al WordPress, ir a Plugins y desactivar “WPBakery Visual Composer”.
Paso 2: Entrar al servidor web y en la ruta /wp-content/plugins borrar la carpeta “js_composer”
Paso 3: En el WordPress ir a Plugins, Añadir nuevo y Subir plugin
Paso 4: Ubicar y seleccionar el archivo en la ruta de la ultima actualización del Tema, por ejemplo: Newspaper/plugins/js_composer.zip
Paso 5: El plugin se instalara correctamente
Paso 6: Habilitar el plugin
Y funcionara el Visual Composer correctamente en el WordPress 4.5
Cabe señalar que mientras realicen esta actividad el sitio mostrara “Shortcodes”, el proceso para este cambio dura aproximadamente 2 a 3 min.

1) When I set the two slider Blocks in home page that show all categories, its works fine! Screenshot
2) But when I set that show only one category, the slider dissapeared. Screenshot

After WordPress’s last update V 4.9 of Visual Composer, which was included in theme’s path, had some issues and there wasn’t possible to edit the page anymore. Also there was a jQuery conflict but we update the theme and not these issues are fixed. In the update we included V 4.11.2 of Visual Composer which works fine with WordPress V 4.5.
Make sure you update the theme at current version available on themeforest, V 2.3.6, update the Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Also deactivate all plugins, leave just Visual Composer active, clear all caches then test again.

Please ensure that you have the latest version of Visual Composer (ver.4.11.2) and also, the latest version of the theme (v. 6.7.1).
