Hi,
We do not recommend PHP 7 with our theme as it was not tested and some features we still use could be deprecated in php 7 and create problems. Please revert to a previus version of php.
Another thing that could be the case is a plugin conflict as image scaling is a common plugin conflict. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and make sure you have the thumbnails selected in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/XCJACumlG
Also regenerate your thumbs afterwards.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi,

Hello,
Please make sure you have everything checked in screen option (top of screen) and if the option is still not showing up after that, please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and clear cache. It could be a plugin conflict.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello, I’m looking at the tutorial: How to make the site faster – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
5. Remove render blocking css/js – using the TagDiv SpeedBooster plugin (advanced users)
Everything seems to be good until I get to this part:
Edit the ../wordpress/wp-content/plugins/td-speed-booster/td-speed-booster.php file and target the css and js using the following code:
This is what I need to add to the td-speed-booster.php file
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘spu-public-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘boxes’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘google_font_open_sans’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘google_font_roboto_cond’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘js_composer_front’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘spup-public-css’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘td-theme’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘jetpack_css’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘devicepx’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘td-site-min’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘comment-reply’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘spup-public’);
But where exactly? The image is not clear where in that file it should be added.
Hello,
The caching plugin works properly on your website. You can test this in your page source and check this line here: http://screencast.com/t/ivTsy7jS If the page is not cached, the uid will change every time you refresh the page. Your uid stays the same so this means the page is cached.
I’m not sure the cache plugin is the cause of the cpu load. Please test this only with wp-super cache and visual composer active to see if there is no other plugin that creates this load or maybe there are a few settings in the caching plugin that are not set properly. you can follow this guide to set up the cache:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hi Bogdan,
Thanks for your suggestions. We’re now using Super Cache & Cloudflare but still far from a decent load speed. I’m trying to add the below to the bottom of the file td-speed-booster.php but getting the error “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”); ‘ (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING)”. The position I tried to add this to was the line just below the line ‘new td_speed_booster();’
Please advise how to add the below to td-speed-booster.php without the error…
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘comment-reply’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘td-site-min’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘jquery-ui-widget’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘jquery-effects-shake’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘revmin’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘tp-tools’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘gmap_form’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘cfm_main_front_end’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘gmap_form_api’);
$this->move_js_to_footer(‘jquery’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘td-theme’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘js_composer_front’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘google_font_open_sans’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘google_font_roboto’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘google-fonts-style’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘rs-plugin-settings’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘contact_form_maker_frontend’);
$this->move_style_to_footer(‘jquery-ui’);

Gaurav
Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean with the + button at the end of articles. There is the category tag that links directly to the category page. You simply need to activate it from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/zbtfIj84
I think the best way to go about this is to use a call to action button. This is a button you can create in visual composer and link it to whatever you want. I have seen really cool buttons created with this feature https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69c6mNvu8qE
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hi
Please provide your site url so I can inspect this closer. Meanwhile try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve tested the video player with the last theme version available on themeforest, V 6.6.5 and works fine: http://screencast.com/t/cPL6RMVmQ – http://screencast.com/t/vrw5W1p1iJH I am not sure why this happens on your side but you can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
Lt me know how it goes and if you still can’t manage to solve this issue please provide a link where I can inspect it.
Thanks!
Hello craigmc,
I have tested again the article inline ad on my side and everything seem to work as expected and as I have explained you above…it is strange that you cannot obtain the same result with this kind of feature and I cannot recreate your issue, sorry! Also, please ensure that you are not using the article bottom ads and please try without untested plugins because it could produce some interference in code’s theme and can broke the functionality of this feature. Try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and check again and see how it works. After this advice, if your problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your credentials (wp-admin) so we can further inspect the issue and your page setup. Also, please provide a link of this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
1) The two options are a different type of implementation. They are very similar indeed but the one in row settings has a few more options that can affect it like the ‘stretch row’ option.
2) You do not have to use any of the plugins if you do not want to. We have users that disable even visual composer as they can manage without it. It is up to you to decide if you want to use a plugin or not. There is no problem in disabling the e-comerce plugins.
Thank you!
I tried with CSS in visual composer in the page but didn’t work :/
Where can I find the Block settings in which I can change the block title. I have installed the newspaper default demo, but can’t figure out how to change the block titles. There is no such option in visual composer. What am I doing wrong?
Hello Holsinda,
Unfortunately, your plugin in is untested with our theme and we have no idea about the theme’s behaviour with this kind of plugin. As you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/DAV1PNAW we have a list of our tested plugins which the theme works fine. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme.
Thank yu for your understanding!
Hello,
Your images are not loading at all at the moment because you have a js error. Please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache (and reset cdn if you use it). Then you need to identify the plugin that causes the error and remove/replace it.
If you wan to increase loading times, you will have to optimize your page speed. Please follow this guide to do it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi,
Altering the width is probably what caused the issue. Our theme uses a fixed grid layout so any width change will result in this type of errors. Please use the slider on the left side and block 15 on the right as the slider needs a 2/3 ratio so it can display properly. (only use these 3 column layouts in visual composer: http://screencast.com/t/vqaRMuEZC)
Thank you!
Hello Grumme,
This kind of issue might be caused by the conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule our the interference between untested plugins and our theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi
The sidebar for archive page can be set from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/G6KahfUyq
By default on archive page you can’t use the page-builder from Visual Composer. However you can use do_sortcode function to display blocks on archive page. First you need to get the shortcode from Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/vDPzUEldhk – http://screencast.com/t/lqxAJrJcjwn0 then paste it into the indicated function like here: http://screencast.com/t/GgZz9psSiVv
<?php echo do_shortcode('[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_6 category_id="28" limit="6"][/vc_column][/vc_row]');?>
This code will display a block 6 on archive page: http://screencast.com/t/4LDqqUUah This is just a basic example but you can customize it in many different ways.
Let me know how it goes and if this is not what you mean please provide more details.
Thanks!

Hi
You can add a specific class on the block from which you want to hide the row, in Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/MkIn5STfXU then use it in css to tarket only that specific row like in this example:
@media(max-width: 768px){
.page-id-358569 .custom-css-class .td_block_16 .td-block-row:last-child{
display: none;
}
}
Thanks!
Hi Catalin,
Yes how you’re describing is exactly how I have it set up. If I have the child theme activated, even if I haven’t updated any files in the child theme, the content on the left spans the full width and the Widgetised Sidebar (via Visual Composer) shifts below. If I just deactivate the child theme, the Widgetised Sidebar (via Visual Composer) fills in the correct place.
Amanda
I have combined various things and also minified both CSS and JS, and you can see the tools I used to minify manually in my thread on theme optimization in tutorials > DIY > best of forums.
However, note that to “combine” certain things like lightbox, visual composer, etc., you would need to hack the plugin to NOT also enqueue the js and css calls, keep track of what you’re doing and basically “freeze” your setup for awhile for those tools.
You can also quash some things like the emoticons js and other things by disabling that via addition of code to functions.php. And of course, not using things like Jetpack, and turning *off* anything you are not using like slider plugins, etc., sure helps.
Hey !
I have installed the theme but its not showing me any Blocks in Visual Composer. I am unable to created a custom styled homepage so can you please fix it asap ?
Hello,
I have installed the latest version of newsmag for a project and still having the same issue/problem with according and tabs.
The theme is not compatible with visual composers features in it’s current form.
When will you be solving the problems? There are a few now including the anchor link menu item problem (other post) and at this rate it does not seem like these problems are going to be resolved.
Hi,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache/reset cdn. Then check your website again. If the problem is still there, please provide a link so we can inspect the issue.
Thanks.
Hello,
Please provide an example of this ad that is not displaying and how you are implementing it. Basically if it’s adsense you can simply place the ad in the field. If it’s not then you need to use this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads/
The ads should have nothing to do with your previous theme.
You can also try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear cache.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
