Hello,
I had a quick look and you are trying to add mega menu to a sub menu item.
It has to be the PARENT and not a sub item of a sub item.
Does this make sense?
So
– INSTRUCTIONAL needs to be the MEGA MENU that is a page let’s say “INSTRUCTIONAL”
– SUB ITEMS is a menu you create via Visual Composer and I think you can, not sure, you add sub menus to that.
But as you have it, having a sub menu item as the mega menu, it is possible, I think, as a standard feature with this theme. You will have to create/use a custom mega menu something like MAX MEGA MENU as it seems like they support it.

Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and try again. It may be a conflicting plugin. If your problem is still there, after these changes, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide your log-in information so we can take a look at your page setup. To achieve that you have to change the page structure a bit. You can use the page template default and add a new block to duplicate the latest article part. It can be a number of things when a sidebar behaves unexpected. It ca be a plugin conflict. Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer and check the sidebar again.
It can also be the way you created it. Pleas make sure there are no open html tags. This simple mistake can cause a whole number of errors. Try to recreate your sidebar widget and see if it still display the same

This still does NOT work. I had to purchase the visual composer out of pocket and install it through the Word Press plug in system.
Can I get the tagdiv social counter plug in files so I can add that as well?

So I managed to change it to 96 and it’s reported correctly on the System Status page.
When I click on Backend Editor, this is all I see.

Please note the “waiting” gif just under the “visual composer” label and a little bit below, a Plus sign. That is the result of me adding a ROW, but nothing happens so I can add objets to it.

The thing is that I can’t see the Visual Composer page loading, even when I create a new page from scratch.
When I click on “Backend editor” all I see is the Visual composer canvas, not the “start with a template” screen. Just the blank canvas

I have a site with 4 pages. The first page (home) worked ok and I can add and edit using Visual Composer. However, everytime I try to do the same on the other pages, the visual composer shows correctly, the “Add element” is also shown but when I click on an element it won’t appear on the main page.
I tried using templates and so on, but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

The latest theme version available on themeforest, V 6.2.2 it’s tested and works fine with WordPress V 4.4 and Visual Composer V 4.8.1. Please make sure that you updated the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using and test again.

You will need to update visual composer as well: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and also the social counter for it to work properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
(remove the current one you have active and delete files, and then install it from the theme panel->plugins section: http://screencast.com/t/ASNQo7Vw28)
As for your customization, it depends if customization was made to the theme files or the settings. The theme settings, colors, menus posts and pages are made in the database. The update will not affect this type of customization. If you altered the theme files and have made changes to the php code, then it will get replaced with the update. That is why a back-up is recommended.

You need to update your theme to the latest version as many improvements were made since 6.2 :
If you update to WP 4.4. then you need to update the theme as well as some fixes are necessary for their compatibility.

The theme was not designed to display full width elements.
If you use a stretched row in visual composer you need to adjust the margin left and margin right proprieties in the row settings: http://screencast.com/t/iAXskKjsb
You can alternatively add a custom class toyour row and use css to target it:

The shim plugin was designed to work with the older versions of the theme. We didn’t test the plugin with the latest versions of the theme and I can’t say for sure if will work fine. We will try to do some tests using Shim version of the Visual Composer in the next weeks to check its behavior with the latest theme version.

Unfortunately visual composer is not tested on posts. It can be used but some things may not align properly. You can try it out and see how it works.
I cannot offer a solution for this except use a different smartlist. The article inline ads will not work with smartlists and changing the smartlist ad position involves editing the theme files.

I’ve checked your site and noticed that on mobile devices you’re using a different theme then Newsmag: http://screencast.com/t/fsIxznStv2MV This usually happens due to Jetpack mobile theme. Try to deactivate that module, or deactivate the all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.

We have no reports on this yet. It is not a known issue. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear your cache (and cdn if you use it) and check again to rule out a plugin conflict.
