Hi,
1. This is probably just a temporary problem with the Envato server. You should simply wait for little while and try again to activate the theme.
2. Those are the steps you should take to try and solve the problem. Check the permissions on your upload folder as suggested. More information here
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/
The second step is to make modifications to these parameters if needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
The last step if you have made all the above mentioned changes and the result is the same, is to contact us at the mentioned email address and provide all the necessary information (admin login, FTP access). Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks
Hi,
I have 2 problems:
1) I can’t activate the theme, it gives me this error:
” Envato API is down, please try again later or use the manual registration”
2) I can’t install the Default Demo, it gives me this error:
“tagDiv importer detected an error. The importer will try to recover and continue to install the demo after you click ok on this dialog.
Steps to troubleshoot:
– Check the permissions on your upload folder
– Please make sure that WP_DEBUG is set to false in wp-config.php
– Contact our support via email contact@tagdiv.com (please provide your product license key)”
Can you please help me??
I can provide you the wp-admin user/password and FTP if you need, where can I send it in private??
Please help, thanks.
Hello,
If the WordPress update process fails, please use the ftp method presented here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
FTP is the safest way to update the theme. Please create a back-up beforehand though.
Thank you!
Hello josinc,
After checking the path, it does not seems to be caused by our theme, sorry! It seems to be a problem caused by your WP Install. I suggest you making a new clean install from scratch via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard, clear all the caches and check the results.

Hello joaquinh,
Please keep in mind that the first step in WordPress debugging is to disable all the untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. You should disable all of them and make a new clean install from scratch, via FTP way and check the results. Also, consult your system status panel and check if the parameters are according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

Hello Fernando,
The most healthy way in this regard might be to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP and install only the required plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for the message!
Hello sieg20,
The most ‘healthy’ advice in this regard is to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. Please keep in mind that I cannot re-create this issues to my side, sorry! The Review feature work as expected.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello cartu73,
I have inspected your website and now, your website on mobile seems to work as expected. Also, I have noticed that you have some errors in your console which might come from your untested plugins used with the theme. I saw that you are using the Jetpack plugin, especially Photon module of it which is a problematic plugin, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/bsz1LXrS7RJF You should remove all of the untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Clear all your caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for the message!

Hi
I have just purchased newspaper theme and trying to install it. When I try to install through wordpress admin panel an error messsage comes up;
Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.
Then I tried to install it via ftp. I uploaded theme folder to wp-content/theme but i can not see it in wordpress themes section.
Please help!
Hi Catalin, I’ve tried the first option but “Post Settings” is not available in my Screen Options. I don’t know why.
With regards to the second option: a new fresh install from scratch via FTP. Do you mean reinstall only the theme or the full WordPress site? I am very worried because I’ve been working on this site for 5 years now.
All the best,
Angel
Hi,
It seems that the website does not display properly at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/sc1wQnylE
Also you do not seem to have the theme active anymore on your website. If you are having problems using the theme the first step would be to disable all the plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and check to see if the problem is still there. In most cases some problematic plugins or modifications to the theme files are causing issues. Also check any custom code from theme panel or from a child theme used.
It is recommended to use this caching plugin with the mentioned configuration for the best results – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Other caching plugins could also cause unexpected results.
You could try a fresh theme install and see if that fixes things, as a last resort
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thanks
Hello ouropretooficial,
I’m sorry if you are not satisfied by our theme and our support! Please notice that the theme has a list with our tested plugins, which have been thoroughly tested and with which theme works as expected. So, if you are using some untested plugins, please notice that some of them might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown errors. Notice that our theme has a big code and it is very complex. All of these things are valid for any other theme and not just for ours. Please, try to make a new subdomain and create a new clean install from scratch, via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. The theme is fully tested and checked and should work without any problems with the default plugins and settings. If you will check our demo preview you will see that the sidebar works as expected, like this -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/
After this, if your problem is still there and if you need more assistance in this regard, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.

Hello fernando,
I have inspected your website and I saw that your sidebar is overlapping with your content. This type of issue might happen due to your bad theme installing and also, due to your untested plugins used by you. I have checked your console and I saw that you have a lot of errors, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ZDc3Retq I suggest you disable all of your untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins. For more information about theme installing, FTP way, please consult our useful documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Thanks for your understanding!
Also:
What you can do, and what is commonly done in WordPress news portals, is upload images via FTP into an /images/ folder, and then put the explicit URL for the image in the HTML of the article, and don’t use the media manager except for the featured image.
Note that WP makes images from anything added to the media manager, per the default sizes shown on the settings > media page for *all* themes, defaulting to those most commonly used by the default blog themes included with WP.
So, *all* themes follow this behavior by adding additional add image classes to fit theme layouts, and for this theme they can be disabled based on the theme panel.
The only solution that works across all themes, is to simply use the FTP method for common images, and then use the media manager only for the ‘featured’ image for a story.
Anyway, that’s how we’ve done it the past 12 years on our news portals.

Hello peterdlrs,
After each theme update, you should make a full backup to your database to be safe and then, install the theme via FTP way, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Please notice that all of your data will be loaded into your databases. Also, you can export the theme settings from Theme panel to be safe, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-newsmag/

Hello wilfredo,
I want to contradict you because our theme has not several errors if it will be correctly installed, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way, clear all your caches and check the results. After this, if you will encounter any other error, you should provide your website URL and also, some useful screenshots with the errors and where exactly you have tested your website, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks for your understanding!
