How to add links/manu on top bar header? - topic

Like the demos, I want to add custom links to the top bar header for buddypress related links. I made a menu for links that I wanted and went to the Visual Composer theme and selected the top menu I made to show up on the top bar template but that did nothing.

When Buddypress is activated, the login/ join link shows up the top bar but when clicked, the popup login appears but there’s no way to “sign up/join”, i.e. make a new account.

Center header ad - topic

Hello,

I want to use the Newspaper theme for my website. I want to go online with it in the next few days and now I have a problem.

The header ad is not centered. It appears left.
Can you help me. I have not found any mistakes in the CSS code.

Hi,

You need custom modifications to achieve that and it is not an easy task to remove header and footer. I suggest to hire someon to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work at this time, sorry!
Yes, you can add the 404 template in the child theme and customize it like you want, just add it in the root of the child theme – http://screencast.com/t/UaL15ndJU2K
Also if you want to hide the header and footer on 404 template, you can use this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css:

.error404 .td-header-wrap, .error404 .td-footer-wrapper, .error404 .td-sub-footer-container {
display: none;
}

Hi,

I was shown only the fault with the picture. I had no idea where the image comes, I looked in the database. I have removed this line and now the header is broken.

Have requested a database backup . But how can it be that the header is broken ?? Jquery errors are not displayed to me .

Hi, i’d like to change the 404 page to a full screen image(no header or footer) with just a homepage redirect button. Also i’m using the child theme, so do i add the 404 page in there?

Please let me know how this can be done.

Hi,

I see that you use the custom css that I provided above and it works fine. I’m not sure how you added the ad, there is an inline css on your div containers that you have to change – http://screencast.com/t/5DblX2Hd
So the z-index value must be bigger than the header’s value – http://screencast.com/t/ttU8hOVmZU
Or you can use the above custom css, like I said it works fine.

DFP Wallpaper Code - reply

Hi,

You should contact your ad provider and ask them for specific instructions on how to implement your DFP’s wallpaper ad code into your WordPress theme and if you need to place in the head you need to edit the header file if you need it in the footer then you can use theme’s custom js section from theme panel which will place the js code in the footer.

Home Page Auto Refresh after a Definate Time Interval - topic

Hello,

I have newspaper theme v6.2 installed on my website.

I have a regular push of content onto my portal and i want my homepage to refresh automatically into a user’s browser after 30 mins time interval.

I have found one way of doing it using Meta Refresh putting it into the header file of the theme, but Meta Refresh is not preferred by google and its use effects the page ranking and seo.

So i want to do it using JS or any other method. Please let me know how can this be achieved.

You need to use the code from this thread to add the elements to your htaccess file as that is how you specify the “time to live” (expiration headers) — so that browsers know to cache info not updated regularly (like CSS or fonts), and not ask for it every time page loads. See first page of this topic 🙂

Hello gfran5,

You cannot find the height property in the files because it is applied with javascript when using the sticky menu option from the theme panel’s header options http://screencast.com/t/xrGk6pQ6X.
If you use normal menu, the inline css disappears and you can set a height value in style.css to the “.td-header-menu-wrap-full” class.
Unfortunately, if you want to use sticky menus, that’s more complicated as it involves modifying the “tagdiv_theme.js” and it is much more difficult to achieve. http://screencast.com/t/rdOSKPLaVi

Hi,

The theme generates the height of (td-header-menu-wrap-full) it’s not in the CSS so where can we change that rather than overiding it in the CSS using !important

Visual Composer Problem - topic

The visual composer had caused problem. Only the 1st two rows are appearing at the editor. The bottom rows and blocks have disappeared on the visual composer. On the website, everything is functioning. But because of the missing visual composer of the remaining rows, I’m not able to do any further changes.

I have tried updating to the new update, deleted the WP bakery and activate visual composer.
I have switched to the classic mode and found the following code. Deleted the top rows code, since there is nothing wrong.

Hi, I wanted to know how to show the Google Link Ads on this theme? I have shown 3 regular adsense ads and now also want to show Link Ads in header and content. I pasted the code in Custom Ad but its still showing the regular ad. Thanks.

Hello notpedu,

This is the default state of the theme, but you can make the top-menu appear using custom css like in this topic here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/top-bar-not-showing-on-mobile/
for example:
