Everytime I clear my cache the default theme logo goes back up on the website instead of the words of the new company

I need to create a full height page, a landing page, with no header and footer, just three elements, the first one aligned at the top, the last one aligned at the bottom, the second one occupying the middle part.
With TD Composer I’ve created a page with a full height row with three horizontally oriented columns (width 100%), and I chose the “space between” option in vertical align (see Row Layout Setting Image).
In TD Composer I see the page as I would like it (see image 1), while if I select the “space evenly” option the three blocks are correctly evenly distributed in TD Composer (see image 2).
However, the same the same displayed page ALWAYS shows the three blocks evenly distributed, even when the vertical align option is space between (see image 3).
How can I fix this situation?
I am using Newspaper 12.6.5, and the example I am showing you is simplified, just to show you the malfunction.
Thanks in advance, Luca

Hi Anamaria

Hi,

Usually, this happens when you set the page content in the header or footer sections.
-> https://i.imgur.com/381J9qm.jpg
-> https://i.imgur.com/wVGxYeg.jpg
-> https://i.imgur.com/0O3iGEg.jpg
So, please check if you have set the elements in the footer zone.
Also, you can provide some screenshots and make sure that you don’t make the template that you edit for some posts to be global for all posts.

Thank you!

This is the problem I am having:

It started a few days ago. Whenever I try to make a post and hit enter it deletes several blocks above it. If I copy and past an entire article from Word and try to avoid hitting enter in WordPress, the same thing happens when I click on a word to change it to a header, and random blocks disappear/delete themselves. I’ve tried reaching out to my webhost for help, clear caches, deactivating plugins, restoring backups, different browsers, etc. Nothing helps. I can’t do the one thing I need my site to do and that is to write posts. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Dear support,

Something very strange happened when I tried to add a JavaScript code to my website (under the header script code https://prnt.sc/Syh8AxQjc5P6 ) . The code was essential to make advertising banners appear on the site. Initially, the code was accepted, and I saved it. I could see the banners appearing correctly on the site. However, after a few minutes, when I loaded the admin panel again, I found that the code had disappeared.

My website: https://www.backdoorpodcast.com/

I am sharing the code below for your reference. Please advise.

Hello,

The problem has returned after updating to the newest version of the theme.

We have lost our header template, as well.

Seems I am getting an error on the backend when I attempt to “preview a post”.

I see this above the header. Has anyone else experienced this error? Please note the xxx after home is only to hide the folder site name.

Again this error does not appear on the home page to visitors but we see it at the backend. Please help

Reminder to folks it’s time to fully retire use of AMP as another failed abandoned Google attempt to take over the web when it was pointless and stupid for many sites where a print ready page would have worked just as well for mobile. It was a money grab to track folks usage by loading your content on their server. Ugh.

At this point, more than a year after AMP was retired as “end of life,” it’s time to move on.

Requires three things
a) setup proper 301 redirects to keep links if you had lots of inbound traffic, but frankly Google recommends simple 404 so they stop caching the /amp or ?amp URL — keep in mind normal htaccess redirect of /amp –> not /amp is tricky in case you have a post url slug of mycontent/amplify-your-cake — would kill that URL.

You need to try something like this in your root htaccess file, then *test* a amp url to make sure it redirects

e.g.,
RewriteEngine On

# Removes "amp" (or "amp/") from the end of the URL-path
RewriteRule (.*)amp/?$ /$1 [R=301,L]

this code also shared quite a bit online
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (.+)/amp(.*)$
RewriteRule ^ %1/ [R=301,L]

2) deactivate any ‘AMP’ plugins in WordPress – which will remove the rel= link in your post headers; to remove a loop

3) clear AMP cache with Google: https://developers.google.com/amp/cache/update-cache

// I don’t work here, just started to do this last year, and catching up on final nail in the AMP coffin for our other sites this month //

*also posted in Newspaper forum; but copied here for all the rest of us //

Hello,

The main menu has suddenly disappeared: https://paddlinglife.com. It should be displaying to the right of the logo.

It’s working fine on mobile.

The Header Menu (main) is assigned properly in nav-menus.php

Assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you

You say, without header there is no issue. And I must build it from the beginning. Cutting the head to cure headache?

Hi,
Now, there should be no issue with your header.

Thank you!

newpaperwptheme

I activated the tagdiv standard pack and my theme panel, now, is like yours.
But, I have built my website a long time ago. The horizontal line was not there. It appeared suddenly.
If I press save, the header of my website will be destroyed and I must build it from the beginning.

Hello,

Thank you for the guidance. The TagDiv Composer plugin was indeed reinstalled and active, which is evidenced by the content displaying correctly, though the header and footer were lost. However, this was not a major concern as it occurred within a testing environment, and I have since overwritten the staging environment with what was in production.

Just to formalize, we continue to face issues with the TagDiv Composer, unable to save layout changes on our homepage for some days now, causing a series of problems in our content update routine.

After countless hours with the hosting server support and in contact with some developers of the plugins we use, it seems, though we are not yet certain, that the root of the problem lies in the TagDiv theme. This is because in 100% of the cases when we try to save any change on the homepage, if the request takes more than 10 seconds, it fails without saving the changes.

We thought it might be server limitations, so we conducted various server tests, plugin deactivations, and log reviews. We’ve collected evidence suggesting that the problem may originate from TagDiv, and we will share this with you via email at contact@tagdiv.com, hoping we can resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Kind regards

As mentoied in other topics with mobile menu i have the same issue.

After tap on it it just keep loading for a very long time, sometimes it loads sometimes it freeze.

Mobile menu is working fine only when no javascript is called in header .

I have tried deffering javascript but it didnt work.

Only thing that worked was delaying until interaction or after few seconds.

Also what worked was switching to mobile theme plugin BUT you are not compatibile with Cloudflare so this is not an option for us.

There is no issue with plugin conflicts this is happening also on clean website without plugins activated.

Hi,

Did you add the logo in theme panel -> header for mobile?
If yes, please delete it from there.

Thank you!

Hello!

1. You should edit an article with the tagdiv composer and use the element Single Post Tags. Make sure you have tags assigned to your article as well. Also, check if you have a tag template in Cloud Template and set it global.

2. Please check the console if you have any errors when you click Save Settings.
A similar situation has already been discussed here; please check: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/theme-panel-settings-are-not-saving-2/

3. You can hide it on mobile, and you’ll have it on the other viewports. You can hide every element from the CSS tab: https://prnt.sc/1FJiMub9ke4s for each viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB
I recommend you turn this option on: https://app.screencast.com/R9qXYOO0g44lO before anything else.

4. You should place it in the content zone and not in the header or footer zones that are global, and it will display on all pages.

Thank you!

Bettina

Hello!

We have some settings for the rows and different stretch sizes: https://www.screencast.com/t/bsbB5P97A
Make sure that this setting is disabled as here: https://app.screencast.com/FOwnXv63emAOR
You should access the theme panel settings, press save settings, and the to-top button will disappear from the header.

Thank you!

Anamaria

Hello,

Please delete the code from the header file or other files where you added.
If the code needs to be added in the head, then you need to add it to the Theme Panel -> Analytics/JS code in head -> https://i.imgur.com/UypAKbc.png

Thank you!
