Hello Michael!
Set the page as homepage by accessing Settings -> Reading: https://prnt.sc/h9ImaJnI7ub3
Delete the original Home and then create a new one.
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
Got it! Thanks!
Here is another question:
I have made a new page called “home-search-bar”, if I want to make this page as new homepage, what should I do?
I tried to change it’s name to “Home”, and delete the original “Home”, but it doesn’t work. Could you guide me this?
Thanks!
Michael

Hello,
If the images look blurry on homepage, what you can do is to use some flex block, you have some more control over the featured image using this element -> https://i.imgur.com/9eZ0pJe.png
Thank you!
No, it’s the homepage so more far complicated than that…
Hello!
1. Please check the settings from the homepage and apply them for the other pages too.
2. You can copy paste the elements in the other page as well.
3. There is only 1 element displaying on 2 rows. So, you can limit the flex block at 4 posts and add other flex block with limit 4 and offset 4.(or copy paste it). For more information about the settings, please check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
4. You use the Mobile Theme plugin, so you can not modify that because there are only some settings in the Theme panel -> Mobile theme.
We have 3 options of mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there or adjust them to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can choose to use which one is more affordable and useful for you.
5. Please check this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/social-sharing/
6. Use a responsive version and all you need to do is to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin.
Thank you!
I want to display the latest published date instead of the current date in the top-bar area of the site.
What should I do?
Hello,
Please disable the extra plugins and try again to assign the homepage.
Also, make sure the homepage still exists.
Also, for the header please check this video -> https://www.screencast.com/t/g8aJgYwZ on how to import and assign the header template, the templates can be assigned also, from Theme Panel -> Header -> https://i.imgur.com/jImO0r9.png
Thank you!
Hello Mette!
If you follow the full video I provided you, then you can find out how you get the header and sticky header(when you scroll). If you click on the menu and set a background in the CSS tab of the Header main menu element, then you can change the color there. It is the same for the header logo element: https://prnt.sc/iwh_XH3mIYzq
2. When you edit a page not a template, for example the homepage, then you can style the header and footer and set it as global in the Website Manager.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please check this topic with the same problem -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-does-not-save-only-content-of-homepage/
Also, please provide the link to your website and some screenshots with your steps.
Thank you!
Hello,
There is the modal popup set on the page to remove it you can use right-click, edit the homepage with tagDiv Composer and the element is set in the header -> https://i.imgur.com/IPsmw3y.png
Thank you!

Hey all, I am desperately looking for help as my website is under threat of what I guess is a brute attack. (i suggest others too to check for it as Microsoft recently warned about it). I checked my Wp security>User logins>Failed login records as I was getting huge number of visitors yesterday in an hour and the page visit was homepage. I am attaching a picture below and seeking help from devs to help me out if possible. I have enabled some level of threat protection in brute force in Wp Security plugin.
I created an html element and have a lost ‘>’ giving me an error when I try to use tagDiv Composer. (I think, because I see the ‘>’ above the picture I posted.) I also might have moved an empty element on to the page, because I dragged a element block into the homepage and could not find it. I should have cancelled and re-entered, but did not :p
Error is:
Errors at columns: 2(models) : 6(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)
How can I fix this? I have searched the forum and tried what was suggested for others with “Errors at columns” with no luck.
Thanks.
While I am able to use the TagDiv Composer just fine, it will not let me edit the headers or footers. It tells me I must use the theme panel for this.
I’ll then use this to establish a header or footer from the cloud, but it won’t ever work once I set it. On top of that, I’ll add an entire homepage from the cloud but it will still keep the same header and footer from the default version on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Never once changing site-wide.
Also, when I edit single posts with the TagDiv Composer, it only wants to work for one post and instead goes back to the default format for the rest of the posts. Even when I set the design for global use.
There are some designs I cannot even use because it interferes seemingly with the default header, so they just won’t upload. Only the ones without needed major headers/footers are even an option to use for me.
There must be something I can set or fix. None of the tutorials on the page you sent helps with my specific issue sadly
Hello Michael!
1. Access the homepage, edit it with the TagDiv Composer and add the Search Form element in your header.
2. Please follow the video to see where you can find, build your sticky header on mobile and desktop too: https://www.screencast.com/t/l6v2Belt
Thank you!
I don’t get it, sorry.
I didn’t create those pages (only the homepage), they have been created in the template itself.
How to stop the template from creating such pages?
I already added “noindex” tag using the Yoast plugin for those pages but they keep coming.
Dear staff,
Could you give me some hints to build a homepage showing a search form at the front with Metropolitan PRO theme? or any other theme ?
Here is an example that I’d like to build:
1) https://www.gowiselife.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/1.jpg
Here is an example for stick menu:
2) https://www.gowiselife.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/2.jpg
The sample website is http://www.pexels.com
Thank you very much!
Michael
Hello,
i’d like to display the reading time not only in the single view, but also in the post list on our homepage (Flexblock 1). Is there a way to display the reading time?
The Problem we are facing is that whenever we open the website in chrome browser, then homepage opens well, but as soon as we try to open other pages, posts or products, then the text of the menu, elements and body somewhat cropped or shrinked.
Please check the video for further clarification.
https://www.screencast.com/t/9avv6tFfCa
Please take a close look at the browsing of homepage and other pages. The text and hovering items open fine in homepage only, but somewhat cropped whenever we opened the new page, post or product, including the text of the main menu and its hovering.
Your Representative first said that this might happen due to the reason that stretched row is off, but we now disable the cloud footer and the posts and other pages are now opens in the same box format.
But, after enabling the cloud footer, the issue persists, as it was before.
Please browse the homepage and other pages at yourself in chrome browser to see the problem of text srinkage or wrapping up.
Please feel free to ask for further questions, if you still have any doubts regarding the problem.
Best Regards,
We already create the mobile page using mobile page composer by copy the content from homepage. Its seem the mobile template that we create didn’t appear when we try view homepage on mobile, means its still follow the style from desktop version. How to fix this?
This is our site : https://www.meremang.my/
We already did follow all the steps provide in here https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ but the issue still happens. Can you help with this?
Well the problem is only for the homepage. I switched back to “normal numbered” and works, better to leave it like that for now then to become a bigger problem.I will contact you once I’m ready with everything else and have backup.
Hi, for inspection, we have disabled the cloud footer and used the native default footer. But, after enabling the default footer, the same issue persists as before.
Please check the picture below:
We have currently used the default footer. You can yourself check the result of homepage and other pages. The issue persist in all other pages, products and posts.
It seems that footer has nothing to do with this issue. Please check and provide us the workable solution.
Best Regards,
Hey, thanks for the reply… The problem is that it’s a category and not a page that I want to make as my homepage, what should I do to make it happen, need your guidance, thanks..!!

Hello,
Please let me know if you removed the button buy from the header, if yes, then please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/menu-icons-missing-in-homepage-and-on-every-new-page/
Thank you!
Hi,
Without importing a demo you will have to create a homepage with the composer and set it. And also you will have to set the templates yourself in the theme panel, for posts, categories, etc. It is perfectly possible to create a website without importing a demo, it just takes more time.
A demo will provide a homepage, and also set templates. Besides this, it usually imports some design in a separate stylesheet.
It will be much easier to begin by importing a demo and then customizing it as you want. Start with any of them https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newsmag/ and then make modifications to it. Choose the one that looks the closest to the result you are looking for.
Either way, we will help. Let us know if you have questions.
Thank you!
