I’m trying to do some SEO optimization and I’ve realized that the front page using blocks isn’t the best, since there isn’t a lot of text in google’s Text-Only cache. I have two ideas I’d like to try, but I’m not sure if they’re do-able with the theme’s current capabilities:

1) I’d like all photos on the homepage that are rendered by the blocks/modules to use an “alt” tag.
2) I’d like all excerpts to be the meta description instead of the first X amount of words in the post.

Does anyone know where I can tweak these? Thank you!

For some reason, none of my featured images are expanding to the full width of containers.

Is there a code hack that will make the featured images expand to the full widgth of the container?

Good evening, I would like to remove the white space in my category.

I’ve already been removed from homepage with the following code:

}
How can I do the same thing on category pages?

we’re getting a javascript error on our custom built homepage (we created our own page and designed it with Visual Composer). The error is following: “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘top’ of undefined at wp-content-themes-Newspaper-js-tagdiv_theme.min-7.8.1.js:278”. This error is visible through a browser console like the one in the Chrome Dev Tools.

To find the source of the error I disabled all plugins except Visual Composer, WooCommerce and WooCommerce Memberships. Unfortunally I cannot disable the Woocommerce Plugins since that makes our frontend crash and not load properly.

The error can easily come from one of our customisation. I just wanted to ask, if you have any idea where this error could come from.

I also found a quick fix for this problem, you just need to check, if the object contains any elements with:

if (cur_item_ref.length) {
cur_item_ref.content_top = cur_item_ref.content_jquery_obj.offset().top;
}


and also for the second one:

if (cur_item_ref.length) {
cur_item_ref.sidebar_top = cur_item_ref.sidebar_jquery_obj.offset().top;
}


Maybe this helps someone with the same issue or you could even consider to add this to the script for compatibility reasons?

I have an issue with the theme.

The mobile menu seems to be always “half” open, so when i initially open the homepage on mobile it shows this way:

on the desktop on the other hand, the mobile menu is not visible, but it is in the source, and therefore creating a wide white space in the page:

I want to edit my static homepage in a way that i can control how my post are being presented.

I’ll first explain how i would like it and then i will show what i am trying to do to get this.
If there is another way (maybe easier) to achieve this please tell me.

I want my homepage just like it is right now. With the slider above and the sidebar on the right.

I added custom elements on my mobile theme homepage. I just wonder that, is there any way to add custom elements under latest articles?

https://twohonestguys.co/thg-tv/ tv, movies and gaming all had that post module at the top and now they won’t load at all even if I change the categories and delete and reinsert the module. Everything else inside the visual composer layout is working fine. The only thing that’s changed on the websites end is I moved to a new host and changed PHP from 5.6 to 7.0 on their servers. I guess there could be potential incompatibility perhaps? Has anyone else had similar issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I’ve created forms to build my homepage. The td_module file works however if I get get_the_date or get_the_author can not read the date or author of the single post, it reads the date and author of the page.

Please provide an example of the code:

This works:

This does not work:

Because? Do you help me? I have to see the date and author of the single post and not the date of the page where the post is.
