How i can add content on pages in mobile theme? For example: If I have the menu page sport, I would love to be there all the articles from the category sport.

I know that i cant use shortcode, but i need something like “Latest Article”(on homepage-mobile theme) on other pages, but to be of a certain category.

The ‘Default Templates’ drop down shows many of the demos, but missing the ‘Say What’.

Note: I installed the demo with content switched off – just settings. So I assume the layout is probably not part of default.
Any info on the actual layout? For example, I figured out the first section is Big Grid 4. But are there any doc or import, so I don’t have to recreate this?

So I checked my site yesterday and for some reason none of the thumbnails are showing on the front page, they were fine the day before, nothing’s changed. The images are still there, just not showing, any ideas??

i have newsmag theme, and i try to have smaller size of homepage.
But i noticed that, when i send request to my homepage, browser is sending another request to that url : https://s.ytimg.com/yts/jsbin/player-tr_TR-vflMTWZ__/base.js

What is it for? is it for youtube player?

And can it be smaller than 430KB? My homepage is 1.8MB already. This js file is 430 KB of it.

İs there another way to fix this problem without any loss of any feature?

At least if you can answer for the what is it for, maybe i can quit to use this feature…

I am struggling with ads which are included in my theme fitness . I could remove ads on my customized homepage and others. But I don’t know how to remove the ads on the start page (.com). Generally speaking it is difficult to find the options for this page.

Hi guys, we’ve been informed by someone accessing our site that the homepage is loading straight into the mobile menu on a desktop machine with no obvious way of minimizing it and viewing the site… We’re both viewing the site on Chrome and I’ve never had any issues, is it likely that some sort of AdBlocker on their machine is causing the issue? or would viewing the site through a remote desktop platform that was perhaps blocking some scripts from running cause the problem?

Hi Guys, on our homepage we have a number of blocks, most of which need to run the ‘Unique Articles’ function, however, theirs one block that we don’t want included in this that shows the latest two articles from two specific categories, we could do with excluding this block when ‘Unique Articles’ works its magic, is there an ‘opt out’ or ‘disable’ for block capability?

Admin Panel -> Pages -> Homepage

if I set on “Post loop settings” the “category filter” on one category and the “sort order” on “- Latest -” I will get a list of the articles ordered by data ASC and not DESC.
Actually with any settings I will get a list of articles orderd by data DESC.
There is a file where I can check the query?

How do I set one of the posts from that particular category to be sticky so it will always be the latest post from the homepage’s block?
Even though there is a sticky post option in the “quick edit” from the post page, it still got pushed down by the newest post added on the later date.

I wanted to create category pages that worked like the homepage, but I was told in a previous forum topic that I submitted that it was not possible.

The first question is it possible to make a categories which does not show all pages, but has a show more feature. Reason it seems the search engines don’t like categories going e.g. space shuttle page 1, space shuttle 2, space shuttle 3 etc because its got same metatags and descriptions etc.

I had the idea of using a redirect and instead of going to the categories page it does to a page/post. Problem is the breadcrumbs show the category page. For that to work breadcrumbs need to be user definable. Is that possible?

So what I am trying to do is say I have a pages on Space Shuttle instead of having a category pages showing blog posts I’d rather have a info page with some blogs in the bottom with a button to see more. If I use the present method it takes alot of scrolling through pages to get to what you want.

I have successfully solved this issue with previous version of Newspaper and it was working well with Cloudflare even on mobile theme for my site www dot tomatoheart dot com . But with the recent update, I again started facing issues when cloudflare is on

If CloudFlare is under development mode or off, Everything works fine. I saw regular homepage on desktop and expected mobile theme based homepage on mobile ( it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/XMXRHeG.jpg)

but when I enable the Cloudflare, mobile theme plugin for homepage stops working, and it starts showing the responsive mobile version of the desktop theme ( like this: https://i.imgur.com/hthWfRd.jpg )

Ironically, there is no issue on any other pages or posts except the homepage. I tried various settings under CloudFlare like disabling CSS minification or disabling Rocket loader, but nothing is working.

PS: I have just cleared all the cache. So, you might be getting the expected mobile version on mobile ( https://i.imgur.com/XMXRHeG.jpg) but wait for sometime and this issue will arise again on homepage.

Newspaper is great for Article and Video post formats, but is there a way to utilize the Link post format? Would like to do some entries that, when clicked from the homepage. simply link out to external sites.

Once we launched the website, all the images went out of whack. I used the regenerate thumbnails plugin, but to no avail. The website is no longer displaying any images on the homepage from mobile devices. please help! this is an international magazine, that cannot have this display! 🙂
