Hello,
I would like to be able to set two different images, one for my homepage and one at the top of my blog article, but I can’t figure out how to do it.
If that’s not possible, I would like to know if it’s possible to crop the image on the homepage as desired. Currently, I can’t crop the image the way I want.

Hello, I am Using newspaper theme. Its aswsome features totally i loved it. I have small problem with header. i want to Assigning a custom header to a specific page.
For example:
I am Specified one of the my header to homepage. I want different header for Single posts and Pages (not for home page). Because i am using overlay option to my homepage header. its not good for single posts and pages.
I need to add this little “square” or little retangular element before a news colum on the homepage.
Does anyone know how I can do this?

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

2. Edit the homepage with the tagdiv Composer, click on those blocks and change the filters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
3. You can drag and drop the elements where you like in the page. Also, you can copy and paste the element after another: right-click on the element: https://prnt.sc/di9HxFxYhxDp -> right-click on the other element and choose paste after.

We recommend you to use a static page for your homepage and choose the one you use from that dropdown, so you can customize it with the TagDiv Composer.
Please note that you can not display both posts and CPTs in a tagdiv block, only posts or only CPTs. The code you applied only affects the standard WordPress loops while our loops work differently.

Let me try to explain with images…

So the first image shows what I refer to as the query loop and the results it gives. As you can see the first post is the Warhammer post.
Then we changed the settings so the homepage is just the latest posts. You will note there are 2 posts above the Warhammer post, which is due to the custom posts that are generated from the YouTube API and pushed into WordPress. This is due to the code we inserted into the standard YouTube query that appends in the proper custom posts.
The query is shown in the last image and this is the standard way that you would do this according to WordPress. I believe that you are NOT generating the info in the blocks the standard way which is stupid if that’s the case. I assure you this is 100% why I bought the theme as you stand it will deal with custom posts… but your definition of custom posts is more custom fields like ACF would do.
Then I show you that it is pulling all categories, and I show you moving to just the category that contains those custom posts and how it comes back with no results.

I have a homepage with a big grid that displays the latest 4 articles, and below it, there’s a block for each category. Can I exclude articles displayed in the grid from the blocks? The “offset” option doesn’t work because the grid displays the latest posts from over 10 different categories.
I need something like a filter that says: “Don’t display in the Block if displayd in the grid.” Is that possible?

@bettina but I wasn’t using a caching plugin at the time this error started. I am now using WP Supercache with the recommend settings.
I have had to turn off AMP on the homepage because there seems no solution to the error.
But this problem is now intermittently happening on other pages showing AMP on desktop.

We have a header ad on demokracija.si, below the header section. On homepage ad displays fine, on single pages (articles) the ad is stretched. Tried limiting the element on Image tab, but then it doesn’t display. The ad image is 970×250.

I updated my site yesterday to 12.5. This resulted in tagDiv displaying code instead of the correct formatting. I have tried to revert to 12.4 but the issues remains.

I am using the plugin Adrotate to manage my Ads.
I like to use two Ad boxes on the homepage here (“Lütte Piraten” and “Wikingergolf”:

In the left Ad box (“Lütte Piraten”) I chose Adspot “custom_ad_2” which I configured in the Newspaper Theme panel Ads section with the code for this Ad from the Adrotate Plugin. This works fine.
But when I try to do this with the other Adspot “Wikingergolf” and choose Adspot “custom_ad_3” it gives me just a blank field.
For now I chose custom ad code here and placed the link from the Adrotate Plugin to make the ad visible at least.
But so I cannot control the statistics from Adrotate.
Why does the right Adbox not work with chosen adspot?

Actually I run a mathematics website named “https://mathematicsly.com/”.
For mathematics to be rendered, I use a simple mathjax plugin. And you know, mathjax uses latex code to build math equations on webpages which involves “\” backslashes in most of the code. Newspaper theme/plugin vanishes backslashes as escape characters. Due to which math equations are not correctly rendered.
Main problem was in the homepage which I solved by using the following function code to preserve backslashes…

return $title;
}
add_filter(‘the_title’, ‘replace_backslashes_in_title’, 10, 2);”
Using the above code solved the problem on the homepage.
But the title in the breadcrumbs vanishes backslashes still and hence the maths in breadcrumbs is not properly rendered.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to optimize my Newspaper theme blog for mobile and made a custom mobile page with tagdiv composer. My problem is that I can’t change the mobile page that is shown on my phone to the custom made mobile page. I already changed it in the cloud template plugin but it just shows a grey yes under page templates->Homepage templates->Mobile page.
I would appreciate it if i got help.

How do I change the thumbnail for links? If I want to share a link to the homepage or a post, right now the image is our favicon. This is specifically for sharing the weblink such as via text message or email, not for sharing via social. The featured images in the posts and homepage are set, yet every time I share a link it’s always the favicon. How do I update the images for shared web address links via text message? Thanks!!

Is there a way I can filter posts on one of the blocks on the homepage so only posts published with day and month matching today are shown? So if today is 29th August 2023, it will show posts from 29th August 2022, 29th August 2021, etc.
