The current version of Visual Composer available with the theme V 4.7.4 is tested and works fine. Please make sure you installed the plugin from the same path with the theme, clear all caches, deactivate all others plugins and test again. Also check the values from system status: http://screencast.com/t/yQGcbdjA03k the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000 and max_execution_time at least at 300. Those values are set in php.ini file so try to access it but note that some hosts may restrict the access at this file, if you don’t have access to it contact your host provider and let him know about this situation. Also check the WP_MEMORY_LIMIT from wp-config.php file, here it’s a guide regrading this

I just installed your theme on badbeatmonster.com , a brand new domain, with a fresh install of wordpress 4.3.1
The sub-pages and articles look great, but i have weird code on the homepage. The column dont work also.

We moved to a new server and had version 2.1 of NewsMag installed.
Today we upgraded our site http://www.salzburg12.at and all the plugins. Clear the cache – everything looks fine.
But when I try to edit a page with the Visual Composer fron the Themeforest ZIP (seems not to be the latest version) I can’t edit anything. Visual Composer loads, but when I click on an element nothing happens. I even can add new Blocks or whatever.
Please help!

You can also try it without any plugins and clear cache. Disable all of them except visual composer and check your image again. Maybe it is a plugin you installed since the last use.
Please make sure you have installed the theme properly, if you can re-install it via FTP(make sure you use the latest version 6.5.1) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ maybe it was an error when you install it. I did not managed to replicate this on my side.

I’m still not sure why you have this issue, as for example the default theme fonts are already added in the speed booster file – http://screencast.com/t/rCGzAdVNFPIl and they should be moved to the footer when the plugin is activated. I also checked this on my side and did not found any issues moving the theme resources to the footer – http://screencast.com/t/rdIpmORctb8
Please check this without any plugins active except of these plugins tested with speed booster(if you use them) – http://screencast.com/t/sBuHQflNdKW at least the fonts should be moved to the footer, this if you didn’t modified something else in the plugin’s file. Also you could try to make a backup and the delete it via ftp then install it again, then check this step by step. We would have gladly made it for you, but the time doesn’t allow us to offer custom services, sorry!

@paulberrow We have made some test using the Vc 4.7.4 and old version of the theme and it creates some issues on tagdiv blocks, we will try to find solutions, unfortunately I cannot provide an exact date.

Thanks for that.
It appeared to be a mixture of both — regenerating thumbnails said everything is ok were in fact it wasn’t as php-gd was installed but not recognised by Nginx. The grid issue was indeed caused by an old child theme version.

A solution would be to change in database the value of this meta key: td_post_theme_settings for each post where you used post template 11 with Newspaper theme. The value should be changed with something like single_template_1 or any other post template available in Newsmag theme.
Before you alter the database make sure you make a full backup at the whole current theme installation as well as the database and wp install: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups just in case somethings goes wrong.

Please make sure that the speed booster plugin is active, check the System Status – http://screencast.com/t/mnSqdExcJ The speed booster was tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you use other plugins it will be automatically disabled. A lot of people install the plugin without knowing what it does and after that they add many plugins and some of the them are not written fine, so the developer took this decision. If you want to always enable speed booster, delete this code from speed booster file: http://screencast.com/t/RZLIOPUNdqh Also to have a good score is recommend to use less plugins.

It seems that the thumbnails are not generated, please check if you have GD Library installed, wordpress requires it for cropping. You can see it in your Cpanel. If not, contact your hosting provider. Also that you have writing permissions on /wp-content/uploads and also check your /uploads folder and see if the thumbs are created. Then try to regenerate again your thumbnails, you could try also the Force Regenerate plugin.
Regarding the Grid issue – http://screencast.com/t/4xF3c9fSt please switch to the main theme and see if you still have this issue. If this solve your issue you will have to update the child theme as you use old version. You can find it in the /code folder from theme files that you download from themeforest – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/
