Dear Madam/Sir,

I’ve 2 questions.

1. Are these the only banners provided in this theme:

728 x 90 pixels v(Header)
en 300 x 250 pixels (sidebar)

If there are more options, where can we find them/install them?

2. Would it be possible to slide the banners? Meaning, we can add 2 or 3 advertisement in the same banner? If so, could you please give me instructions.

Since update via wordpress category pages me the following error message:

I can’t seem to solve or make progress on my Newspaper Theme performance issues.
I’ve got five friends that want to use Newspaper, too, if only I can get past my performance issues.
(They’re new bloggers, they like the idea of the theme, they’re a bit worried about my inability to fix my performance issues, or to find someone who can.)

My performance sucks (in the 40’s) with no clear remedy in sight.
Worse, when users hit my site the first time, the page loads blank (no images show)
If they reload the home page, then images show the second time, but after a flash of gray.

I haven’t seen anybody else’s site load like mine, where it’s all framed out with gray placeholders, and then, as if a second flash, the images then show up.

Here’s my setup at a glance:
* I’m hosting on Siteground.
* I use WP Rocket which is tested with Siteground — just default options.
* I’m using a CDN (Cloudflare), with default options.
* I have Gzip working.
* I use WP Smush Pro to smush all images (all images are smushed.)
* I used P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) to analyze plugin performance.

I contemplated W3 cache (well, In installed it, but it was immediate conflict with WP Rocket, and WP Rocket’s feature compare shows superior in all regards, but I don’t have enough experience yet to know of it’s true.)

I get Chris’s point on the difference between buying a car, and driving the car. Well, now I want to know how to drive like the Mario Andretti. I feel like I’ve got the “owner’s Guide”, but not the “Driver’s Guide”. But actually, I don’t want yet another guide, I want a student driver model where I pay a consultant to show me the ropes for a couple of hours while fixing things, looking over my shoulder, or me looking over theirs.)

My images are probably the main problem, I don’t know how to fix them without doing weird acts of God, and I’m trying to keep posting simple and pragmatic, not build a better mouse trap with weird optimizations and even weirder workflow.

Google tells me my page speed sucks. Is Compression Working tells me Gzip is working. Pingdom tells me my images are bloated. GTMetrix fails with a 522 timeout and blames my CDN.

The quote that keeps me going is:

I guess I’m getting stronger day by day.

Hello,

I all of a sudden cannot click on any item while using the visual composer on a new page. I cannot add an element, add a row, or select a template, etc. I go in to click on an item, but nothing happens when I click.

However, my homepage, which is a template I added when I first installed, I can still edit using the Visual Composer.

What can I do to fix this?

I went in and re-selected all items under the Administrator permissions, but it still doesn’t work. Please help!

on trying to fix issue of character count not working in text and textarea fields of cf7, the developer has replied directly on their forum stating it to be an issue with newspaper theme

(also having issues with a paypal addon to cf7 which may or may not be related – but first things first with the count function and javascript.)

currently running newspaper 4.3 – hadn’t intended on upgrading to 6 – basically just because of the time doing it and not being sure i really follow the process of saving and reactivating theme settings – if it is a known issue that would be resolved in the latest version i’ll do it – in which case please confirm the save settings is literally copying the export text out of the box into a text file to be copied/imported back in later. i have envato toolkit installed – can’t find anything telling me if this same export/import works with that, or only if you go for the wp delete and reinstall option.

if nothing to do with version appreciate any help on how i can make the java script run in cf7.

Before I installed newspaper I had some add rss image size to the function.php file. Now I don’t know where to put in the newspaper function file to force the particular size in our Mailchimp rss campaigns.

I have tried several plugins, but they create a different url that won’t work with our new server.

Here is the code I was using:

Hi,
I love this NewsMag theme, and it has (almost) everything i need in a theme. I have encountered a problem now though.
I’ve installed this plugin called “Sportspress Pro” and tried following its “theme integration guide” (link 1) to make it look as awesome as it does with their themes, but no luck so far (link 2).

Anyone have any suggestions to how I could be able to fix this?

Now just below the page title i want to show sub-category tags of this particular page like this :

How can i do this ?

2. How can i remove the sorting dropdown in the right corner from Category pages where it gives options as (Latest, Featured, Last 7 Days,etc.) :

3. Wherever Pagination is coming on Either HomePage Latest Articles or Category Detail Page and I change the page then the URL also gets changed. Because of it, duplicate meta-tags are getting generated in google webmasters.

4. I have created a multi column page based megamenu named “States” on my website. But when i open it in Mobile layout then it is not getting visible. It only shows top level “States” option, and none of its sub-options are visible.

The issue is that the posts displayed by the widget are not relevant and are very old.

Bydefault wordpress allows only text content in Category Descriptions. But i want to place HTML text in that section.

Now I found out a solution to this by using this plugin :
https://wordpress.org/plugins/allow-html-in-category-descriptions/

But if I use this plugin, it is incompatible with the Speed Booster Plugin of the theme, and it becomes disabled.

Can you tell me an alternative solution to this.

I was using another theme at my website and recently switched to newspaper 6 and found out that WYSIWYG editor doesn’t show up when I hit the tab. On the other side, I can use Visual Composer and it is working ok.

Moreover, when I switch to previous theme or any other theme (like default Twenty Fifteen) the WYSIWYG editor shows up okay and can be used.
