Hi alejalme,
Can you please let me know the security tool you are using? It is possible to be something related to it and the code from the theme files that is coded in base64, and the security tool interprets it as a threat and deletes the theme file, so when you remove the plugin and install it back, that file is added back too.
Thank you!

Hello,

Please note that if you install the demo (with or without content) or uninstall the current demo, all content and templates added during the demo installation will be removed – https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/

If you’d like to keep any of this content, we recommend duplicating the homepage, other relevant pages, and any cloud templates beforehand.

Pages and cloud templates can be duplicated to ensure you have a backup copy https://i.imgur.com/ZrKtkj7.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/py4E6lh.png

Thank you!

Hello,
I read this in documentation:
VERY IMPORTANT! If you choose to install a pre-built website with content, do not edit the content and use it as your site content! The pre-built website content will get removed when uninstalling the theme or switching pre-built websites. If you want to keep the content as your own, please create a copy of the page and use the copy as your content.

I don’t understand, if i edited everything, renamed the categories, logo, content, posts, articles etc… they would be gone if i switched to another prebuilt website (without content)?

what does this mean “If you want to keep the content as your own, please create a copy of the page and use the copy as your content.”
which page?

Hi TeraBoy, the theme plugins can be installed at any time from Newspaper > plugins – https://i.imgur.com/UQincNf.png
For the tagDiv Cloud Library, if you want, you can try this link – https://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/td-cloud-library.zip for the version with the fix.
Thank you!

Hi,

Normally in tagDiv Composer, only the ads set as banners will be displayed to ensure that the external ads are not loading to make the builder work slowly. IF those that you see are ads from the theme that are coming with the demo content when you install one, then the ad can be set only in a few places:
– in the theme panel as global – https://i.imgur.com/pyixhqx.png
– on pages and cloud templates using the element ad box – https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
– inside on the post content – https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/

You need to use a platform to store the image, and here to set the link to that platform. You can use Lightshot, Greenshot (images will be stored on Imgur)

Thank you!

I’d like to implement a “Portfolio” section similar to the one shown here: https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/newspaper-prebuilt-websites/?demo-type=pro — with selectable category filters (as on that page: Popular – Paywall/Membership/Directory/Listings – RTL – Shop – Multipurpose – Blog – Magazine – All).

Following (or try to follow…) your documentation, I installed the Custom Post Type UI and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugins, but I’m having trouble configuring everything correctly. Is this the recommended approach to build a Portfolio in Newspaper? Alternatively (preferably) are there built-in options or third-party portfolio/grid plugins fully compatible with Newspaper that would let me achieve this without custom coding or complex configuration?

Thank you.

Hello!

I have same error and uploading the new td-composer.zip was fixed, but the td-cloud-libraryfix.zip file says “not plugins found” inside the compressed file so I dont know what to do now about that plugin (I removed it from the panel, before tried to re-install, so is not present on the website now)

Hello!
Thank you for your reply, but I don’t quite understand what you mean.
When I go to the Newspaper menu from my WP admin, I don’t see the “My license” option.
On the other hand, Themeforest tells me that my license is active and I only have the option to download the theme for installation.
What can I do?

Thank you!

Hi,

What you can do is to comment or remove the code related to installing a demo – https://i.imgur.com/r9X5xFH.png, but the rest of the 2 functions can not be removed because the website will break.

Thank you!

Hi,

I may have run into a problem with the header.php file in the most up to date version of your theme (v. 12.7.1). After experiencing images not loading in my front end from Firefox (v. 142.0.1 (64-bit)) I ruled out possible network issues with images fetching (all was well there), and then examined the source code and noticed that the Doctype declaration has an extra space after “html”.

<!Doctype html > instead of <!Doctype html>

I corrected this on my installation and it is running fine again on Firefox now.

The issue I was experiencing was related to the and <span class=”td-module-thumb”> images of posts, both of which would not load on Firefox (regular and private windows). There was no ad blocker running, and there was no Enhanced Tracking Protection either.

I am bringing this to your attention; perhaps you would like to take a look.

Best regards,
Konstantinos.

Hi,
In case that you want to use the theme interface for your Newsletter, then you’ll need first to install the plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-newsletter-plugin/
Also, you can use the embed code from your newsletter provider and set it in column text in the text zone – https://imgur.com/DSSni9j

Thank you!

Hi,

Do you refer to cloud templates or standard templates? If you are standard templates, please go to Newspaper > plugins and install the tagDiv Standard pack, and the old templates for articles will be back.

Thank you!

Hi jpegjoe,
The situation you have with the ads should not be related to the error you detailed, but just in case, please try the following. Make a full backup of the site and go to Newspaper > Updates and look at the theme versions, there you should see a version RC12.7.2, install that version and the error you gave as an example will disappear. That version is the new update of the theme that we hope to make official this week.
Thank you!

My host is reporting that there is malware on my site at public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/common.php, and the malware is php.base64.decode

I have looked at the code in a fresh download of td_composer and it has the following:
/**
* return the decoded demo file settings
*/
add_filter( ‘td_demo_installer’, function( $file_path ) {
//read the settings file
return unserialize(base64_decode(file_get_contents($file_path, true)));
});

function tdc_b64_decode( $val ) {
return base64_decode( $val );
}

function tdc_b64_encode( $val ) {
return base64_encode( $val );
}

In it. Is this problematic, can I remove it ?

okay… having the server hosting company look into this as the htaccess directives all work on PHP 7.4x and do not on 8.3x, which is bizarro. Apparently the settings not fully inherited from 7 to 8.

Guessing it’s a AllowOverride All directive missing.

One general support note — while we have our own server, it looks like some hosting companies are starting to deprecate use of the .htaccess file, but then suggest using plugins that are insecure to fix things like redirect missing images to a default.

I only mention as this might be a good ‘option’ you could fairly simply add to both Newsmag and Newspaper as a useful function feature. Basically allowing a default image to be used when a post main, featured image and/or thumbnail deleted.

Will let you know the final result once I hear back from hosting provider. With my new PC here, I don’t currently have an SSH client installed to get into the server core stuff preferring to work with the Plesk panel.

I’m having a similar issue when trying to add or update any ads on my site. Here’s more info that I get from WP Engine, but I have no idea how to resolve it. I’ve rolled back versions, re-installed, etc. Thanks for any help:

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 6.8.2
Active theme: Newspaper (version 12.7.1)
Current plugin: tagDiv Opt-In Builder (version 1.7.1 | built on 29.04.2025 10:50)
PHP version 8.2.29

Thank you, I managed to translate it, it’s nice to have it solved without having to install external plugins 🙂

However, I have a few more questions 🙂

1. How does a subscription work on the portal, how can it be set up, and what does it offer the user? https://prnt.sc/XL9gBxCIHWpO

2. How to set blocks to have identical width?
https://prnt.sc/h14e3RyoGMjf
https://prnt.sc/SNKY90epEW-T
https://prnt.sc/_iIW7rCzpTAp

3. How can I set up the mobile version of the website to display on phones because now it displays a demo

Hi
there is some fundamental issue with the current theme install where htaccess directives seem to be entirely ignored, such as redirects and stuff like pagespeed = on kind of things.

Going to have to try default theme to debug, as disabling all plugins had not effect.

Trying to use WP-STAGING plugin, but their pesky platform does not support external uploads locations (e.g., /root/uploads/ vs /root/wp-content/uploads/ … ) which breaks the image links ((sigh)).

Having one of those months over here.

I forget — these days, does Newsmag lose all its settings if I temporarily switch themes and turn off td-composer ?

Calin

Hello,

The Object Cache (Redis) should work perfectly fine with the theme. Just make sure that if you’re on a shared hosting environment, you configure the Redis settings properly in your wp-config.php file. This guide can help:
https://kb.hosting.com/docs/configuring-wordpress-to-use-redis

Please note that key verification doesn’t occur during login. It happens when you try to use the theme builder, access theme updates, install a demo, check the “My License” tab, or browse cloud templates.

If there’s an issue related to key verification and Redis caching, one potential fix is to delete the Redis object cache file that was created. In 99% of cases, this resolves the problem.

Thank you!

Hi,
There will be no losses if there are no changes in the theme and plugin file. Changes made with Composer will remain, so the plugins can be disabled, deleted, and reinstalled from Newspaper> Plugins.
Thank you!

juanantonio

Thanks for your response.
I don’t want to uninstall both plugins because I would loose all my changes. Isn’t there any other solution?
