Hi Matjoez,
I have seen that your “About Me” page has been created with TD Composer and the AMP will do not recognize these shortcodes. You can simply create that page using the Mobile Editor, using only the Image and text without any TD Composer elements or with Gutenberg. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/YYbzlxUq If you will use the AMP with our Mobile Theme, you will have the menu navigation bar, otherwise, you will do not have it.
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
Is there a way to put the header logo and the mobile menu icon in the same column so that the logo is always alligned to the right of the mobile menu icon? When trying to put the logo in the same column tagDiv Composer always alligns the logo under the menu icon rather than beside it.
Thank you, it worked. For the border at the bottom of the Mobile Theme header, I used this code:
#td-header-menu {
border-bottom:2px;border-style:solid;border-color:#efefef;
}
This is working too. Both issues are resolved.
Thanks.
Hi,
The buttons will not appear on mobile, they are not supposed to. The mobile header and menu are different from the desktop version.
You could design the header with the header builder, then you will be able to add the elements you want in the desktop and mobile header
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
– https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/
So you could add buttons in the mobile menu – http://prntscr.com/n5wyyc
Maybe you could consider this a solution. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
I’ve created button on Multipurpose header, it work well on Desktop site.
But it’s not display on mobile responsive menu.
How can I fix it?
Thanks for your answer, i do not use tgComposer for menu, because i made my website with previous theme version and if i use a demo from library there are some bugs and problem for my website.
There is another kind to show on mobile menu section the top bar menu?
Mobile Search and menu background will not display. I’ve set background images in Themepanel, and tried to deactivate plugins and cleared cache. Nothing will do. Why do the images not display?
Hi,
If you are using the responsive mobile version of theme please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/top-barmain-menu-assistance-needed%E2%80%BC%EF%B8%8F/
Thank you for your understanding!
I updated the video so you can check it now.
Is there then anyway to delete the navigation menu and put a cathegory cloud on the mobile theme.
I thought that a simple menu would work either in regular version than in mobile, and only the content changes to a more plain and quick versión
If you want it to direct to a link you could change the href on the existing link
– http://prntscr.com/n427rh
This element’s job is to open a menu on mobile when clicked – http://prntscr.com/n424sl A modal should open with the chosen menu.
If this does not work in the app, I would have no idea why it happens. Unfortunately we made no tests in this matter up to this point. Sorry for the inconvenience.
How i can enable top menu on mobile responsive site version? i see only social icon…
Hi,
I try to check your video, but this is not working -> https://www.screencast.com/t/BQcLQcs0e8a
What you do not understand is that in your mobile menu you have set links to go on pages ( and those pages need to be re-build with mobile editor that is way you see only the page title, those are the only “elements/parts” from mobile theme that need to be re-build ), if you set a different menu for mobile theme to go on some post/category ( the mobile theme have a default template for those and will get the content from post/category that’s why when you click on a post, or a category you are redirect to those. )
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
I tried following your instructions step by step but unfortunately it does not work…
is a very mysterious problem… if I select only ‘mobile’ the menu works in the mobile view… with ‘mobile+amp’ it works only on amps
so I’d exclude a cache or plugin problem, which I’ve already taken out for testing… it seems that ‘mobile+plugin’ inserts a code somewhere that removes the dynamic functions on the mobile view…
but at this point, I don’t know what to do…
Thanks
Hi,
Let’s try to make a test please set the “AMP” version -> https://www.screencast.com/t/bML2FZEsvOgS save the settings, clear all cache, after that go in AMP General and check all check boxes -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jFH7Dph3 save the settings, and now go back to mobile and change back to “Mobile + AMP” save the settings, clear all cache and check to see if the menu is working.
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
Hi Again Calin (Episode 303):
I really need you see this video I uploaded because I really don’t understand one thing. You said my menu in a mobile version works but there is no content BUT (Here is where we talk about different stuff) if I add some text or html to the mobile editor I will see it on the page but not my post. On the other hand if I press a category in the general Page i will see the content I wanna show. PLEASE CHECK THIS VIDEO that I made so you can see what i mean.
You will se what happened when I press the main menu and later when i press in a category
one more thing. In single post cloud template, i can put ad article (inline – bottom)code but differently from the ads that can be inserted from the newspaper menu, I cannot choose the size for the various formats (dekstop mobile tablet). Is there any way to bypass it? because I would like the size on the dekstop to be 728×90 while on mobile devices 300x250px
Hi Calin,
I’ve tried it before, but it doesn’t change anything.
Consider that I have never had problems of this kind with previous versions of the mobile plugin.
The problem with mobile display is only present when ‘mobile+amp’ is selected, while with only the ‘mobile’ option the menu and other dynamic functions work well
The amp version (by selecting ‘mobile+amp’) does not cause any problems either…
What can i do?
Hi,
With the new mobile plug in 9.6.1, only with mobile display, I have an unusual problem on the mobile menu (also does not work the search and arrow works to get back up).
In the plugin mobile option, if I select:
– Using mobile theme for Mobile: all is ok on mobile view
– Using Mobile + Amp: menu does not work on mobile view, but works on amp view
I tried to eliminate js and css optimizations but nothing changes…
Do you have any ideas for a solution?
Thank you
Ok,
The mobile version is now working after figuring out I have to disable the Jetpack mobile version. I like how it works, howevere I still have a couple of questions:
1. How do I customize the featured image of the posts displayed in the homepage like in your tutorial video of the mobile theme?
2. The tab section of the mobile theme is helpful (plain helpful), but I need to add other elements such as logo and
3. Disable others such as the main menu (which it is not deactivated in the theme panel after saving settings) and the search feature
4. The footer also needs a logo, which like in the header, CANNOT be added!
5. And this is a personal remark. I know you guys sell this theme as a piece of cake to set it. Which is in part true, but it is still way toooo far to be it.
Thanks
My developer is trying to mirror the site in their app but the code you are using obliges each time to completely reload the page even when the menu is opened, while the current standards (used in the app) no longer use this system.
Can help me to locate this code?
<i class=“tdb-mobile-menu-icon td-icon-mobile”></i>
and replace with this:
<span id=“tdb-mobile-menu-button”><i class=“tdb-mobile-menu-icon td-icon-mobile”></i></span>
I would like to edit this without affecting the hamburger hyperlink and the updating of the theme.
Thanks.
Hi there Calin:
First of all thanks for the heads up. Second i just feel that our conversation is in a infinite spiral of back and forth.
I really like the mobile theme, actually i have seen an improvement not just in the speed, but also in the amount of visits. BUT i see a big difference if you press between the article tag or the main menu. If you try it (please try it in my site from a mobile device) you will see the difference:
If you navigate to the Main menu: you will get a page without any post or article.
If you press any Tag in the general page: you will get EXACTLY what i am looking for and what I was expecting from mobile version.
Hi,
Please note that the user when will use the AMP version will see the same the burger menu -> https://www.screencast.com/t/nLjIhnLDZ
Also on that website is use other search function for desktop, mobile and amp version.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi espedfk2,
I checked again and your menu is working, but I think that you do not quiet understand how mobile theme plugin is working!
The mobile theme is a plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to use for pages that are made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) only the mobile editor, also for mobile theme the content for pages need to be set in mobile editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Please check carefully our documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme ->https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Thanks.
Hi,
In order to achieve that AMP layout please check our documentation for amp -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
You need to use the mobile theme with amp, in this way the Amp will look like mobile theme and will have a menu and the design and functionality like mobile theme.
See the results -> https://www.screencast.com/t/1zRe9TpQaG
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes those are usually the icons for social media, arrows, stars, user … a part of theme can be found in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/mobile/includes/less_files/font-icons.less also you can find those in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/font-newspaper.css
You can also check How to add an icon in menu -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/
Or if you want to set with tagDiv Composer some icons in a page -> https://www.screencast.com/t/6ZKtcsVkzhlf
Thank you!
