Hello,
is it possible to remove the Footer in the Mobile Theme?
Regards,
Lukas
Hi,
So you want to remove the URL, email etc from the mobile theme comments
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MJvk1RqWi4
Those codes would work for this, for the default consent it should be like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4DYkgWs2b
.comment-form-cookies-consent {display: none;}
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Pr31uyJNyR8
Thanks
Hi
What is the CSS code to hide these fileds in the mobile theme plese?
.td-form-url {display: none;}
.td-form-email {display: none;}
.td-form-cookies-consent {display: none;}
.td-form-cookies {display: none;}
.td-form-consent {display: none;}
Thanks
Hi,
That is true, the mobile theme will not display blocks or grids for example. It’s purpose is to display a different and lighter version of the website on mobiles for users who want this.
If you want to display page builder content on mobiles, simply deactivate it. The plugin is optional and there will be no problem.
Hello albertohduarti,
Sorry, but please notice that our theme does not have any such an option for this. You should change the whole js of the theme if you want to disable the mobile mode and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you.
Thanks for the message!
Hello, I would like to disable mobile mersão for my theme, how do I do this?
I did not find this option in the settings.
I want to use the same desktop layout on my phone.
Thank you very much in advance!
Hello,
I have a page that shows on desktop all articles that are in one of the two predefined categories.
With the mobile theme active, this page doesn’t work.
What I would like is to display on mobile all the articles based on the same rule (post to be in category A or B).
Using the custom mobile theme editor, I can just display text… not show posts in a category…
Just like the “index” page, but with an active filter
Example: https://esportsmedia.ro/articole/ (check on both mobile and/or desktop)
Hi,
I figured out the problem. This was the W3 Total Cache plugin. I was using this plugin till a while back. The plugin worked fine till the 8.8.1 update. After uninstallation of W3T, the elements appear as they should. Of course, there was the other issue of the W3T page cache not working. Some error in writing to the .htacees file. But that’s not theme related.
I am currently using WP Super Cache and the Speed Booster (without function file.php modifications) in place of W3T. Besides customization taking a while to appear on slow browsers, everything else seems to be working fine.
I plan to reinstall woo commerce and the theme’s mobile plugin – as my mobile speed is pretty dismal at the moment. Woo Commerce in the past reduced my website, forcing me to replace it with lighter plugins.
But this time, if I use
WP super Cache + Speed Booster + Mobile Theme (and woo commerce)
with the latest Newspaper update (8.8.1)
what kind of compatibility issues should I be expecting?
Also can either cloud flare’s minification setting or cpanel native minification settings be used alongside WP super Cache, Speed Booster, Mobile Theme.
Thank you.
Hi,
Maybe you had the mobile theme plugin active. When using the mobile theme plugin, each pages will require two versions. One for desktop which you can build in way way possible, and one for mobile limited to the mobile editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/s64Pc7Yl
More about the mobile theme here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Note that the mobile theme plugin is optional, you can deactivate it. It is meant to be used if you want to display a different and simpler version of the website on mobiles.
When deactivated, the default responsive version of the theme will display on mobiles, showing the same content from desktop.
Test with and without the plugin, choose what you think is best.
Thanks
Hi,
@muxurou Seems to work now from what I can see
– https://www.screencast.com/t/N2t678WU
The mobile theme has a different Custom CSS section, maybe that was the problem.
Hi,
@Erythros
Sorry but the implementation of our amp plugin is to show the amp template when a users accesses the site from google. If you want to always show the amp template even from other platforms, you will have to use another amp plugin as the theme does not offer this possibility.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
@ldfy
Your logo is blurry because amp uses the mobile logo which in your case is smaller than the thumb used on amp pages. Your mobile logo needs to be larger in order for amp not to show it blurry. Please read this guide in order to learn about our theme amp implementation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hi,
By the theme side there would be no animation for the mobile menu/search modal windows. They open and close with a simple transition, this is predefined.
Thanks
Hello,
The mobile menu background can be set from the theme backgrounds section here: https://www.screencast.com/t/tbBZbbyOI21Y
Thank you!
Hello,
You can access the theme panel and remove the footer logo and access the background section and check for 14.jpg in the mobile and search background as this is a possible location where the file could be called.
Thank you!
in “Mobile Theme” don’t work.
.td-icon-qq:before { font-family: FontAwesome; content: “\f1d6”; }
Sadly, that’s how AMP works. The browser, referrer, and source origination usually determine if AMP version loaded. Meaning, if somebody comes from FB or SERPS and the link itself is not an AMP link, the normal page is loaded, as expected. If on mobile connection, and browser and Google have identified as AMP compatible using AMP enabled browser, then the AMP page loads, or if followed from AMP enabled link in SERPS.
If you forced all traffic to AMP, defeats purpose of having non-AMP pages, and you might as well just setup a REGEX in your system to redirect all traffic to /amp/ endpoint, but outside scope of the theme.
I don’t work here. But been using AMP since it was in beta in 2015.
I’m assuming you read up on Google copious notes on what AMP is for, when and when it doesn’t work, how to serve, etc. ?
WHAT THE HELL IS AMP: https://www.ampproject.org/
(( sorry if that didn’t help … ))
Thanks. We have tested on other iPhones and can replicate the problem.
It doesn’t seem to do it on mobile preview on Chrome. Just on actual phones.
We are noticing that “td-js-loaded” is taking a long time to load. Wondering if something in the “tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=8.8” animation is slowing the load down?
What do you think? Thank you.
Hi,
I’ve just installed mobile theme plugin and i’ve also read that there are no extensive customization option for the theme. But the Bigger Logo in the footer area and About Us text is really destroying the look. How i can deactivate this section. I don’t want logo and rest of the two texts there, the footer menu is enough to be there. I want to hide from mobile the area as shown in screenshot below.

Hi,
So the footer logo on mobile should be of the same size as the header logo, on mobile.
Try something like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/gsoz9vsmDZ
That should be entered in Theme panel->Advanced CSS in the phones section
.footer-logo-wrap img {
max-height: 100px;
}
Thanks
Hi,
Please check the support hours in the top banner, we try to answer all topics as soon as possible. Also we answer from oldest to newest, so replying in your own topic will only delay this.
So the problem here is that the ads are not displaying on mobile, while displaying on desktop. Are you using the mobile theme plugin? This has different ad spots in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
We could also take a look, provide a link to your website so we can see the problem.
Thanks
Hello,
Thank you for creating this guide. I’m sure it will help users who need particular menus for mobile devices.
The mobile theme plugin handles this situation by allowing a second menu created specifically for mobile devices.
Thank you!
Hi,
@KENGBOGASTON That would happen if you use the mobile theme plugin. Find out more about it here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The front-page on mobile when the plugin is active, will consist of a grid displaying posts that you enter in the Featured category
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
Then a latest articles section will follow.
Thanks
