Hello,

This is because you did not add any content for the mobile theme in the mobile editor.
Please use the mobile editor to create a mobile version of your page. This has to be done for all pages except the homepage.
Please follow this url: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hello brue76,

All the settings about the mobile menu can be found in theme’s core files where this feature has been created. As a hint, you can start to check from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/GXjaFp5a Notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Thanks for the message!

How are you adding a “mobile image”? Our theme does not have such an option.

Weird issue after the theme update. The main header menu (navigation menu) only displays if you are signed into the site. This is on both desktop and mobile. Can you please assist with this?

Hi,

I’m using the regular theme but I’ve found a new bug now.

If you scroll up, the menu bar disappears temporarily on mobile. Screenshot below.

The URL is Flixed.io. Thanks.

If you’re up to date with Google’ SEO announcement. You might have read about their new mobile first index. As per them, Mobile version will be indexed rather then the Desktop version for ranking.

My question here is, as Tagdiv’s Newspaper theme has a separate Mobile UI. Will it affect the rankings? Are the Desktop & Mobile Markup same in both theme & Tagdiv Mobile theme plugin?

Should we disable it for SEO benefits?

Thanks

Hi.
Whenever I don’t use the mobile theme (and I don’t want to use it), I get extra / duplicated menus on mobile. I have checked my plugins, but it doesn’t seem to be a plugin issue. So, for example, I get
++ Health
++ Wellness
++ Diet
++ Health
++ Wellness
++ Diet

2) If I use the mobile theme, I don’t show the layout the way it looks in the default layout. I only show “Recent Posts” listed one after the other… Pretty boring. Any ideas?

Hi! Thanks for your reply. 🙂

If I desactivate Speed Booster, the problem persists. I think it’s not a problem with this plugin.

On some parts of the website I think it’s problem of the custom css, because first loads the original version and after a second it loads the custom one.

About the strange effect at loading the homepage, it happens on mobile and desktop, and I observed that first all the site is loaded boxed, and after a second it turns to full width.

As a conclusion, I think the problems are two:
1. The custom CSS
2. Plugin visual composer that loads boxed first, and then turns to full width

If I move the custom css to the theme original file, after updating the theme I will lose all the changes, because there is no child theme. Or am I wrong?

About the problem with visual composer that first loads boxed content, I don’t know how to solve it.

I hope you can help me. Thank you so much!

Hello,

Please use this page speed guide for a start:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Also make sure there are no images that are missing from your site like mobile backgrounds that the theme keeps waiting for. A link to your site could be helpful.

Thank you!

Hi,

I’m having an issue with this particular category page on my site: https://eatsabroad.com/europe/ireland/dublin/

It’s supposed to show the category name (Dublin) at the top, as well as a few sentences of text. However, the embedded Google Map is completely covering all of this text. Previously it was appearing correctly on my laptop, but not on my smartphone. I just updated my Newspaper theme to the latest version, and now it’s appearing incorrectly on both (not sure if that’s the cause or just a weird coincidence).

I had added some custom CSS to make the embedded Google Map responsive on the mobile version. That seems to be working fine (it now fits within the screen, whereas before it didn’t entirely fit), but I’m not sure why it’s covering all of the text that precedes it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

This depends whether you use the mobile theme plugin or not. If you do, then you must also add the code in the mobile code section separate from the one you are using now.

Thank you!

Hi,

Try deactivating the speed booster plugin, this plugin moves the loading of the stylesheet to the footer. Clear all caching after disabling it. If you use custom CSS codes, try entering them directly in the theme stylesheet, instead of the theme panel.
The top section that appears on mobile seems to have a transition before each loading. Maybe check the plugin used and see if this is the case. There could be a setting.

Thanks

Hi

i tried to change the css of the “dropcap” class as following directly from the theme custom code section:

.dropcap {
float: left;
display: block;
font-size: 14px;
line-height: 20px;
background-color: #fff;
color: #505050;
text-align: center;
padding: 2px 10px 4px;
font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;
border: red;
border-width: thin;
border-style: solid;
}

It’s working fine on the desktop version, on mobile it almost seems as its using a different classes.

Do you know how to understand which are the classes of the mobile version? All the inspection tools seems are not able to properly simulate mobile 🙁

thanks in advance for the support!

Hi,

The top grid displayed on mobile will show posts included in the Featured category
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
There are no options to change this functionality. If you would like to make modifications in this matter, you will have to modify the theme file where the grid is defined. This is a similar topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-featured-posts/

Thanks

Hello,
I’ve been messing around trying to change the color of our mobile header area and I can’t seem to find the option that changes the area I want…

If you view the site on a mobile device, you will see our logo is white and pink with a black background that looks awkward…

This is the area I’m trying to change the color of.

Could you please tell me which option in the theme panel I should be looking for to change this? This area is the top thing you see on a mobile device

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Alex

Hello,

You are probably using the mobile theme plugin. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hi,

The mobile theme plugin has predefined templates for most elements, including smart lists. These template will be displayed on mobile when the mobile plugin is active, regardless of the desktop selected style
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
This mobile plugin is not required, you can choose not to activate it. Then the same content and styles from desktop will be displayed on mobile. The main theme is fully responsive and will adapt the website to all devices.

Thanks

Hi,

It is considerably faster because for example it does not display page builder content. Mobile pages have to be created through the mobile editor. There are predefined templates for the front page, post pages, category pages, smart lists etc. It has also predefined fonts. These cannot be changed. Settings are kept to a minimum
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The mobile theme is not a required plugin however. You can choose not to use, and display the same content from desktop.
There is no option to remove the sidebars for mobile at the moment, this will work only for the mobile theme. Something like this could be available in the coming updates.

Thanks

Hi,

That could only be possible by removing the sidebar with a CSS code, something like this

.single .td-main-sidebar,
.category .td-main-sidebar{
display:none;
}

This code entered in Theme panel->Custom code->Advanced CSS in the phones section, should re move the sidebar for mobile devices. Try it if you wish and see if it works properly.

Thanks

Hi, I understand the mobile theme plugin is developed to improve the site speed. Just wonder how much faster?
I actually like to keep mobile site and desktop site more consistent and might just use the main theme for mobile. Then, how to disable sidebars for mobile site?
Thanks!

I would like to remove the sidebar from mobile view of news articles (posts) and categories. I have been able to do this using visual composer in the home page and other pages. Just not in the theme default posts and categories. Can you point me in the right direction.

I have chosen not to use the Mobile Theme plugin as I prefer the fully featured theme on mobile devices.

thanks.
