Hello,
We have no reports of problems with visual composer if version 4.11.2 is installed. Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. If you use the mobile theme, check your page back-end again as there are 2 editors now, scroll down a bit to find visual composer as the mobile editor is at the top.
If you still have issues with this and if there is a problem we did not find yet, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login to inspect this issue. We need to see the error if we are to fix anything.
@sigurbjornsson you seem to have used visual composer from a very early version and created your page with that version. Some elements from VC were removed/marked as deprecated by the plugin author in the latest versions so you will have to re-create these elements. They are tabs, accordions etc. you can see what element you need to re-create in this list: http://screencast.com/t/EESnECyBl5
Thank you!
Hi,
@kunghui please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect the issue. Also include a link to this topic so we can identify you.
@mayankaircel – unrelated issue. If you have a different issue than the one posted here, please create a new topic. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The mobile theme will only show content of pages created with the mobile editor.
Thank you!
Hello ETm,
Please check the mobile files from your root theme and there you will find the shortcodes document which contains this block which is used in mobile theme, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/2dn2HGdbO
Thanks for your understanding!
The theme displays well on IE9 but when I switch to the out of the box child theme provided in the download, many of the styles are dropping out (mobile menu is always open, all inline lists are vertical and bulleted, icon font is missing).
Hey guys,
In the mobile theme when I click open the search box, it says ‘search’ in English. I want it in Dutch. It doesn’t seem to get the phrase from the translation section in the theme because there it’s translated to my native language. Where do I change the this?
Hey guys,
I’m a bit of a noob with css, but I try 🙂
I added a newsletter sign up box on my homepage for the mobile theme. It looks good, but there it is aligned with the latest post below. I would like it to be full width, just like the featured posts are.
What custom css could I use to achieve this? It would be great if you could point me in the right direction. Below the custom CSS (I copy-pasted it from regular page):
#mc_embed_signup input.email {
display: block;
padding: 6px 0;
/*margin: 0 40% 15px 0;*/
margin: auto;
/*margin-bottom: 15px;*/
text-indent: 5px;
width: 70%;
min-width: 80px;
/*margin-left: 1px;*/
line-height: 14px;
border-radius: 5px;
}
#mc_embed_signup {
background: #669fb7;
clear: left;
font: 14px;
width: 100%;
max-width: 100%;
border-radius: 10px;
margin-top: 11px;
}
#mc_embed_signup input.button {
display: block;
margin-bottom: 11px;
margin: auto;
width: 40%;
}
#mc_embed_signup .button {
clear: both;
background-color: #3b5998;
border: 0 none;
border-radius: 4px;
color: white;
font-size: 15px;
font-weight: bold;
height: 34px;
line-height: 31px;
padding: 0;
text-align: center;
text-decoration: none;
vertical-align: top;
white-space: nowrap;
max-width: 400px;
}
#mc_embed_signup input {
border: 1px solid grey;
-webkit-appearance: none;
}
#mc_embed_signup form {
display: block;
position: relative;
text-align: left;
padding: 20px 0 8px 0%;
}
#mc_embed_signup label {
display: block;
font-size: 16px;
padding-bottom: 5px;
font-weight: bold;
color: white;
margin-right: 10px;
}

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no setting or this from the theme side and we have no solution to provide on short notice. Maybe something similar to this could work: http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/redirects/mobile-redirect
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately there is no setting to disable the featured image on mobile, but you can use this css code:
.td-post-featured-image{
display:none!important;
}
If you use the mobile theme, add it in the mobile theme settings here: http://screencast.com/t/oRPLrEKfmB or if you use the responsive version, add the code here: http://screencast.com/t/3Gl2RjltdZNS
Thank you!
Hello,
This depends on the mobile theme plugin. If you do not use the mobile theme plugin then the adsense you set up for desktop will show on mobile as well.
If you do use the mobile theme, you have to place the ad codes in the mobile ads section of the theme panel: here: http://screencast.com/t/vPDwfXu7
Thank you!
Hello,
1. Please make sure you clear all caches and make clear cdn files also. If you have caching on your server, make sure you set it properly by contacting your hosting. Also very important, if you also use a cdn server, make sure you purge files.
2. The mobile theme uses the same footer set-up as the one on desktop. There is no extra settings for the footer on the mobile theme. It will get converted to the default footer style, but the content is the same as the desktop version. The about us section and the follow us are predefined for the mobile theme so if you want to remove them, you must use css to do so.
You can use this code:
.td-footer-description{
display:none!important;
}
Add the code in the mobile theme settings under custom css:
http://screencast.com/t/4LBcVoS4
Thank you!
Hi adam,
The screenshot you provided is in classic mode. Please click the back-end editor and check for the editor. The mobile theme plugin adds a second editor that does not use visual composer, but you will find the standard editor below. Scroll down a bit.
Thank you!
Hello vachos,
First of all, please ensure that you have fully updated your theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.1.1) and also, all the required plugins to the latest version of them (Visual Composer 4.11.2 and Social Counter 4.1). Then, if you want to display the mobile theme, you will have to install the mobile plugin from the premium plugins list, from here -> http://screencast.com/t/1c8WDcsSd To avoid any conflict, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file is you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Please note that our theme (mobile theme) is fully tested and still working as properly. For more information about mobile theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thaks for your understanding!
Hello dreammy,
Please notice that the mobile theme is an optional version for our theme in mobile mode and it could be installed from the plugins area, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/1CSBAdUNsdd For more information about new mobile theme feature, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ Before achieving better results, please try to clear all your cache, purge CDN file and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello ETm,
Please notice that this is the theme behaviour with the mobile plugin installed. As you can see, by default, the mobile theme will display on the front page the Big Grid Mob 1 and the number of the thumbs which are presented it is three. So, if you want to change the mobile theme’s functionality, you will have to alter the code from the front-page.php core file, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/pidP1aalnMa1 Please notice that this is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
There are a couple of issues I am facing with respect to mobile theme.
1. I have go through the documentation and setup WP Super Cache as specified. However, there seems to be irregularities in terms of viewing mobile theme. I see mobile theme and the usual desktop theme at random intervals on a mobile device. Not sure why the usual desktop theme pops when when in-fact only the mobile theme should load.
2. On mobile theme, I am seeing the website logo and About Us written in footer. This is appearing even after disabling footer for mobile theme.
Hi,
Could I have some help here?
I need to:
(1) increase the white space on the left before all text starting in post (something similar to “->-> text” in visual editor).
I tried to add a code to custom css
td.post.content {padding-left: 100px} it worked fine but looked horrible in mobile.
Tried to use % but it didn’t work.
I know close to nothing about css, I took the code from internet.
(2) change font to droid sans.
I tried having experiments with font, style, size, weight on theme panel.
but…
didn’t know why, now all my text is on bold. even though I already set all back to default for fonts.
here’s my url http://www.bukusakumama.com/makanan-sehat-untuk-ibu-hamil/
Thanks

Hello, what is the aim of the mobile theme that we have to activate? I cannot see any difference between the present one and the last one which has just arrived with the new version of Newspaper.
Love the new mobile theme in v7. The mobile front page appears to default to show three posts in a block and then show Related stories. Related stories changes pick up from the main post template, but is there a way to alter the number of posts that show up in the top block? I’d like 10-15 rather than three. Willing to jump into the code but couldn’t find where that parameter is set. Thanks!
I just installed the Newspaper 7 theme and the News Magazine demo. When I go to the page editor, Visual Composer is not appearing — just the stock WordPress composer box filled with the Visual Composer codes. Looks like this: https://snag.gy/e8C5w9.jpg I have disabled all plug-ins, except the plugins that come with the theme (Slider Revolution, Mobile Theme, Social Counter, Visual Composer). I have enabled WP_Debug, and it logged the following errors:
[03-Jun-2016 14:53:09 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: description in /home/meteam5/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_block_widget.php on line 135

How can I get Visual Composer to display correctly?
I’d hope the mobile theme not only gets adopted but also becomes another selling pint for the theme. I was using WPtouch, but I switched as son the mobile them became available and I don’t plan on looking back. Having a mobile theme that maintains a consistent look and user experience is huge.
Thanks!
Hello,
Thank you for choosing newspaper.
1) The latest articles section is added from the page template itself. if you want to remove the latest articles section, please choose one of the 2 other templates: http://screencast.com/t/N5qsDft8E
2) the mobile theme is not compatible with all plugins unfortunately. This is a conflict that can be avoided if the mobile theme is installed first before all other non-tested plugins so please disable all plugins except visual composer and activate the mobile theme before your other plugins.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi
Unfortunately the theme does not have an option to deactivate the modal image only for mobile. This can’t be done easily as the effect it’s generated by js and are required some customizations in order to achieve the desired result.
Thanks!
