I added three pictures with title by using TD Composer on dekstop. I want to see them on mobile too.
I did deactiveted mobile theme plugin, only I could see them on mobile in this way. But my website in google test not mobile friendly.
What I should do to to see my changes on mobile theme.
Hi,
Just what it says in the tile…
On mobile, I managed to place the logo on left and menu button on the right, hiding the search button. But now, when i click the menu button it slides from left to right and it feels odd. How do i make it to slide from right to left?
Also, how do i change the button (the icon) for the menu on mobile, with one of my own choosing from the awesome font?
Do you think in the future it will be possible to set this from the theme panel, and also to choose different kinds of menus?
Thanks,
Hello, we activated the Neswpaper theme on the site triesteallnews.it after testing it locally for several weeks, all seems to be ok but one error from Yoast SEO appears: “Error: Your homepage cannot be indexed”, and also testing from https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly , we do not properly see our homepage. Can you please help?
We checked with Siteground hosting provider and no block towards Google indexing appears to be set, we need to be sure the articles can be properly indexed. Thank you
Hello,
I have two problems with my site:
1) The mobile menu / burger icon is not working. When I click on the menu on my iPhone the menu does not open. Same for the search icon.
2) I can no more change the DTP text color for main menu active & hover. Color does not change anymore.
I think I have booth problems since yesterday. They were not bevore, color and mobile menu has worked fine. The only thing I changed yesterday was that I created the hompeage with your page builder and that I have switched to sticky menu. And yes I know that it has sepaerate settings for sticky menu but this does nothing change.
What I have done:
Switched back to normal menu
Reinstalled the theme
deactivated all plugins
deactivated Cloudflare cache/minification
I have no caching plugin installed at the moment.
But nothing has worked.
Can you please help me with this? I can send you the URL in a private message…
Thanks,
Florian
Thank you. Yes. That worked.
Another quick mobile question…
The hamburger menu brings up my main menu navigation. On the regular page these display as drop downs. On mobile, they don’t link to anything.
Help.
Thanks!
Hi Catalin,
I do not have any URL at the moment.
Here is a set-up I quickly did:
Desktop version https://imgur.com/2D5ff7R
Mobile/Tablet version https://imgur.com/zC3G394
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the quick reply, Catalin, but you missed answering some of the questions, please:
5- How do I make some of the elements on the homepage to show visible border?
6- How do I make the widget “Recent Articles” in the sidebar to show featured images/thumbnail pictures, as it is in the demo:
https://www.screencast.com/t/y2jUztdnt8k
7- How do I make the “Related Articles” and “More from Author” to show bigger featured images in mobile, rather than the current small images:
https://www.screencast.com/t/38KicbAHP
8- Is it possible to make the smart sidebar remain constant when scrolling down as well as when scrolling up? Right now, it shows the last item on the sidebar when scrolling down, and shows the first item on the sidebar when scrolling up. Is it possible to only show just one when scrolling down and up?
Looking forward to your answers,
Thanks!
Hi, I have some issues regarded to my mobile version. I!d like to reduce the size of the H tags on mobile. I tried .td-post-content h2{
font-size:20px;
}
But it didn’t work. The entry titles and the body H tags are too big. Could you please assist?
Hi,
Would there be a way, in a post, to have 2 blocs (of content, mainly text) next to each other (like an invisible table with 2 cells on 1 line).
But when the web user visits the post on his mobile the 2 blocs would go below each other.
How could I make it happen?
Thanks for your help.
Hello,
Unfortunately you need to activate the retina thumb because the thumb loaded for mobile devices is 324×235 but if your mobile screen is bigger than that, it will stretch the image and it will look fuzzy. This is where the retina image comes in. There is no intermediary thumb between desktop and mobile for lager mobile screens.
Thanks
Can we someway display it in mobile devices?
I’m happy to close this one. It only crashes with the Samsung mobile browser. Chrome and IOS are fine.
Thank you
Hi Guys,
I’ve had this issue over multiple Newspaper versions and I am fully up to date with the latest theme.
When setting the Slide element on the WomensGolf.com front page using TagDiv Composer, it looks very compressed on mobile so I want to hide it on mobile (looks fine on all other screen sizes).
When the slide element is hidden using CSS view in composer it causes the entire page to become unresponsive and crash when viewed on a mobile. As soon as I change to ‘show’ the slide element on mobile, or delete the element, the page is fine again.
Is this a known issue when elements are hidden from mobile view?
Hi support team,
Great theme! Playing around with it and still loving it the more each day!
Instead of putting my questions one by one, I have compiled them these past months into the following?
1- How do I reduce the time that the dropdown menu falls for the mega menu, upon mouse over the menu items? It’s a bit distracting when it shows with the slightest mouse over. It will be good to reduce the time.
2- How do I reduce the height of the “Top Bar” (top bar is the black top menu)?
3- How do I make all posts on frontpage to open in new tabs, when clicked on?
4- How do I make all posts on category pages to also open in new tabs, when clicked on ?

Also, the need to implement the api is still there.
We have painstakingly created a custom “alphabetical letter” taxonomy to display all posts on one page using a keyword, all posts that have keyword A on page A etc etc.
However since we can not select a custom taxonomy on the tagdiv composer when filtering posts (only categories are allowed) we are stuck.
We have implemented this text into the plugin, which gets us the ARTICLE DISPLAY VIEW icons on the theme panel. however when we select them the page reverts back to the default. could you point us in the right direction please ?

all of this was working fine since all of the code was directly implemented in the td config php file, which gets overwritten when you update the theme. all I thought I would have to do is implement the said code in the plugin api but clearly this isn’t how it should be done. I’m fearful that weeks of work on this alphabetical archive have been for nought…

Hi,
What slider would that be exactly? if you use the mobile theme, this will not display the same content you have created for the desktop pages
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The plugin is optional however, you can simply not use it and display the same content from desktop (responsive version).
Okay, thanks, I get it.
But one thing I don’t understand.
I uploaded a picture in 1920x1080px. So far so good.
The thumbnail is created in 324x235px.
On my mobile device the 324x235px image is still loaded, although I also activated the 1068x580px thumbnail creation in the backend.
That’s why it’s fuzzy on Mobile. Why doesn’t he take the picture with the size 1068×580? It wouldn’t be fuzzy. Instead, it uses the 324×235.
Does this really only work if I activate Retina? But then he always loads the 1920x1080px image. Then the loading time becomes too long.
The thumbnails at the bottom of the gallery are not displayed on mobile, please see the gallery demo here
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-aston-villa-beat-liverpool-to-join-arsenal-in-the-fa-cup-final/
They were never displayed on mobile I believe, I don’t know exactly why that decision was made at the time.
@pakdefense You could create a logo of the new size you want and set it as logo in the theme panel. That would not be a problem.
@gavitha When sticky you can choose to display the same logo as on desktop (resized automatically), you can display the mobile logo, or you can disable the logo.

Hi,
I could give you a code for that, the top menu is not displayed on mobile by default. The basic code would have this result
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pxsM0nVj
For some styling you could mention how you want them to display, and I will try to modify this code.
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap{
display:none;
}
.td-header-style-8 .td-header-top-menu {
margin-left:auto;
width: 100%;
}}
Thanks
when using the mobile theme, the slider show only the later articles and not the articles i have chosen to appear in the slider. can it be fixed somehow?
Hi,
Where did you place the gallery, I will take a look at it on desktop and mobile if you can provide a link to where it appears.
Hello,
1)Your theme looks different on mobile than desktop as layout because I noticed that you are using the Mobile Theme version. If you want to revert to the desktop layout, you should simply disable the Mobile Theme plugin and the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive mode. For more information, please check the following documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
2)Please notice that we do not have a specific resolution for our image used on the demos. We recommend using minimum HD images as quality if you want to achieve better and accurate results. For example, in our demo, we have used the following image for background -> https://www.screencast.com/t/NRrKw7uNLeSg
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
That would be unusual, I also tested this and it seems to display the menu chosen in the mobile theme settings.
We could take a look at this, if possible provide a link to your website. If it’s not available, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and give us admin access to investigate the issue.
Thanks
Hi,
All I can see unusual about the website homepage on mobile, would be the double menu bar
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2YP6IFHyMtG
One from the theme and one from a plugin probably.
The posts seem to display the Jetpack mobile theme however, note that this mobile theme will not work properly with our theme, deactivate it if possible
– https://jetpack.com/support/mobile-theme/
If you want to use a mobile theme, try the one provided in the theme package
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
