Hi there, we installed the mobile theme on our website (http://alefbaco.com). But it seems to have a problem. it automatically opens menu navigation on start and you have to scroll right to see the main content.
Hi,
i had the same, Al the tweeted/shared links on socialmedia displayed on a desktop pc as mobile pages. Im using the Cache Enabler plugin.
Unfortunately, I had to deactivate AMP from my blog due to many errors that showed up on Webmaster Tools and hence none of my AMP pages showed up on Google.
One thing I did not like from the WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages plugin is that I had to contact them for support in removing the errors at a fee. Maybe they did they created those loopholes to earn something.
The mobile version of the site doesn’t fit the screen, a fix to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Hi Catalin,
Thanks for the advice. We’ve made a lot of progress.
1. We’ve updated the theme and are now using version 7.8.1
2. We’ve deactivated WP Supercache while we’re working on the site
3. We created a child theme. Here’s how it looks:
Newspaper-child
….parts
……..header
…………logo-mobile.php
….functions.php
….screenshot.png
….style.css
Contents of style.css:
/*
Theme Name: Newspaper 7 Child theme
Theme URI: http://themeforest.net/user/tagDiv/portfolio
Description: Child theme made by tagDiv
Author: tagDiv
Author URI: http://themeforest.net/user/tagDiv/portfolio
Template: Newspaper
Version: 7.7c
Text Domain: Newspaper-child
*/
/* —————————————————————————-
This file will load automatically when the child theme is active. You can use it
for custom CSS.
*/
Contents of functions.php:
<?php
/* —————————————————————————-
Newspaper V6.3+ Child theme – Please do not use this child theme with older versions of Newspaper Theme
What can be overwritten via the child theme:
– everything from /parts folder
– all the loops (loop.php loop-single-1.php) etc
– please read the child theme documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
– the rest of the theme has to be modified via the theme api:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-theme-api/
*/
/* —————————————————————————-
add the parent style + style.css from this folder
*/
add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘theme_enqueue_styles’, 1001);
function theme_enqueue_styles() {
wp_enqueue_style(‘td-theme’, get_template_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’, ”, TD_THEME_VERSION, ‘all’ );
wp_enqueue_style(‘td-theme-child’, get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’, array(‘td-theme’), TD_THEME_VERSION . ‘c’, ‘all’ );
}
When I make changes to parts -> header -> mobile-logo.php those changes are not reflected on the site when I view them from a mobile device.
As an experiment I removed a semicolon from the end of a line in mobile-logo.php to generate a syntax error. Nothing happened on the site.
Digging deeper I went to the parent theme and deleted a semi-colon from the same file to see if it was being picked up there. No dice! After that I went crazy and created several syntax errors in different files to see if I could crash the site. None of my changes had any effect. After that I put everything back.
Is there caching going on somewhere else besides my plugin? What else could be going on to explain that none of my changes at the filesystem level are taking effect?
Dear Sir,
Mobile view is visible in chrome and internet explorer in my website newstrend.news. I have installed newspaper theme today. Please resolve the issue,
I am using default settings for mobile theme. Latest version of Newspaper, plugins and WordPress. On my home page I have a menu item which is linked to a category called Mystical Mayapur. Today I noted that when I click on the mobile menu while browsing using mobile phone, the page loads but it does not show any post from that category although there are many posts in that category.
See the image here It only shows the category name and footer but no posts.
What could be the reason? Do I need to design Pages for Mobile theme separately?
Sorry, but I’m crazy:
This is my code css:
.td-page-title{
display:none!important;
}
.td-trending-now-wrapper .td-next-prev-wrap {
display: none!important;
}
.category .td_block_trending_now {
margin: -38px 0 24px!important;
}
.td-trending-now-wrapper {
padding-left: 25px!important;
}
.category .td-trending-now-wrapper {
padding-left: 25px!important;
}
My page in desktop version is perfect:
http://www.screencast.com/t/JbA5hkMH
My mobile page not:
Different space right-left on home:
http://www.screencast.com/t/nbM0t8pGEKu
Different space down in my categories:
http://www.screencast.com/t/YGBX6aTNpdp
Sorry for my insistence and thanks for all.

For Newspaper 7 theme, what’s the shortcode to call out adblocks? I know that in the Newsmag all I have to do is place: [td_block_ad_box spot_id="content_top"] in the article and it’ll show up the content_top ad. What’s the equivalent of this in Newspaper 7 theme? Also what’s the code for the the Mobile theme ads?
Hello

Hello Knockfoto,
Check our demo here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-aston-villa-beat-liverpool-to-join-arsenal-in-the-fa-cup-final/ and the style for tag div Slider should look like in same way on mobile devices -> https://www.screencast.com/t/nC3objV0u2Xb I suggest you make a full backup to your database, and then you should install the theme via FTP only with bundled plugins and check the results. The TagDiv Gallery is fully tested and compatible with the theme and should work as expected, as you can see in our demo preview.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I have inspected the website on mobile. Everything is working properly for me, there is no problem what so ever seeing the image boxes containing the 8 categories or the media grid inside each of them on mobile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PTJhIwxWl
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ex6dPdvp1BFN
Maybe this is an intermittent issue, caused by a problematic plugin that you might have installed. But it seems to be displaying just fine at the moment.
Thanks
Is tagDiv Mobile Theme compatible with WP Super Cache? Because I’m getting mixed results, apparently WP Super Cache is showing the same cached page for both mobile and desktop users, it’s like the tagDiv Mobile Theme is disabled by WP Super Cache…
Hi There,
I seem to be having trouble when I click on the mobile menu to activate the menu. It also appears for the search Icon as well.
If anyone else has had this issue please let me know as I’ve tried to figure out what would be causing this issue.
Here’s a Link to the site http://admin.thecelebwatch.com
Cheers,
Scott
Hi,
I see that the favicon is this – https://www.screencast.com/t/fdy7PCoR but it is not displayed while on mobile, or even when looking at the page source – https://www.screencast.com/t/fyv82A5y
Try clearing any caching installed, and purge the CDN files, to refresh the data.
Thanks
Hello
I just discovered that when I open up my Newsmag website in mobile it looks like this:
It looks normal in browser, how do I fix this?
http://www.magasin55.se
It work!
Work already in a mobile version?
Hi,
@arska The header menu hamburger is always the color white, it is predefined in the theme style
– https://www.screencast.com/t/eImZM2ffifpu
It’s color can be changed with a code like this for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/FjAXnWfXB
#td-top-mobile-toggle i {
color: yellow;
}
The same for the search icon
– https://www.screencast.com/t/mLX7PFpx
.td-search-icon i {
color: yellow;
}
If this is not working for you or you have a different problem, please provide a link to your website so we can inspect it.
Thanks
