1. yes, it’s adsense
2. i already pasted the code and chose the exact size i wanted, with the settings you showed.

it doesn’t work… the size is always “300×250”… and that’s a huge problem, especially since most of my traffic is mobile so the ads are HUGE and cover most of the screen.

Hello,

I have newspaper v6.5 installed on my website.

URL – https://www.naukrinama.com

I want to put a button ahead of the post title that will contain a URL. The URL would come from a custom field attribute that I have created for a post.

For Example – http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/meet-the-android-phone-with-a-humungous-10000mah-battery-776134 (See the button next to title)

Can you tell me how can this be achieved and where exactly I have to make the changes ?

Hi!

On iPad, I’m only able to press links in the sub menu. The parent links, “Start” “Sport” etc doesn’t work on iPad. Theme works well on iPhone and computer.

(Simulator like http://mobiletest.me works fine but not on a real iPad.)

Thanks

hello,
i’m using the following ad size on my post: “320px;height:100px”

but when i go mobile the ad changes it’s proportions and becomes huge instead of keeping it’s relative size.

so from “320px;height:100px” it goes to: “300×250”

how can i fix this issue?

Here I go again, better put images directly:

I’m sorry! This is my web site … http://www.perroe.com

This is how it looks on the panel Rev Slider in desktop, tablet and mobile.

Desktop preview

Tablet preview

Mobile preview

In this way I implemented it on my site:

And this is how it looks on the site:
Desktop

Mobile

Note that the wallpaper is not visible, and incorrectly loaded style form.

Hello,
The modification is all css related
you will need to use the media queries to target just the mobile viewport. Then you can make images use the whole container width and change positioning:

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td_module_11 .td-module-thumb {
width: 100%;
position:relative;
}
.td_module_11 .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb{
width:100%;
}
}

Now you will need to position the titles and excerpts.
This should get you started on your task.
Thanks.

1. Okay on the GTMetrix, you will see a Minify CSS. click on “see optimized…”. You will copy it and then go to your Editor, select or clear the style.css, then paste the minified css.

2. Search for EWWW image optimizer plugin, install it and “Bulk optimize” all your images.

3. Then search for Regenerate Thumbnails Plugin. You should Regenerate your thumbnails that way they will fit in your blocks.

4. Download WP Super cache and set it up, use mod_rewrite, it is the fastest.

5. You should get Cloudflare, and set it up as well then click on minify css and javascript but not html because WP Super Cache handles that for you.

All these should reduce your page size and increase your pagespeed.

All these settings I gave you made me score 90+ on desktop and 70+ on mobile before i added the Ads 😉

Factwide is my website, you can test its pagespeed to verify my claims.

At the bottom of posts the Related Articles appear. On mobile devices (phones) the image – Related Articles More from Author is too wide for phone screens. The image runs past the right edge of the screen.

How can that be corrected? Where can I find that image in the code and modify it?

Thanks,

Before I added Google Ads, my pagespeed was incredibly close to 90+, flunctuating between 85-90 then on Mobile was just a measly 65-75
Not too bad for now. How did I accomplish it.

1. Bulk Optimize your images with EWWW Image optimizer.
2. Use the regenerate thumbnail plugin to regenerate your thumbnails so that they can fit properly in the blocks.

CSS Minification made easy.

3. Go to GTMetrix and Analyse your URL.

4. You should see a Minify CSS followed by a percentage. Click on it to see more of the recommendation.

5. You will see your theme’s style.css in my case it was /…/Newspaper/style.css?ver=6.6

6. Click on see optimized version. It will open in a new tab with your CSS minified.

7. You select all ( Ctrl+A) and Copy (ctrl+C) then go to your theme editor (ie Appearance> Editor) in WordPress. then your style.css, you select all again and Paste (Ctrl+V).

That is it!.

This is just my way of giving back to everyone here that finds time to answer my silly questions and help me out in their little ways. Tagdiv support team, you guys rock, and Chris S as well.

Oh, and my site, Factwide, is proudly Tagdiv Newspaper!.

I have an example of the above problem to demonstrate

Here as you see “Γεγονότα” is a hidden category, and you can see it doesn’t show on the category tags.
However its fully visible as a breadcrumb.

Hello fettbauch,

Please make you sure that you refer to the Module 4 on category page. I’ve tested on my side with M4 on category page and on mobile version and all the images are full width. You can look here the result: http://screencast.com/t/YOckkOZnDJhttp://screencast.com/t/XOg979wWD .
Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundle with our theme, clear all your caches and test it again. If you problem is still there, please provide your URL website so I can inspect it closer.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for the message!

Hello,
Regarding the images and jetpack, absolutely do not use the photon feature of jetpack. I know jetpack is tested to work with our theme but not all of it’s features work. Jetpack has lots of features and some of these create problems with our theme. The 2 known to cause problems are the jetpack mobile theme and the photon option.
Do not use these 2 options and it should work fine. (if no server-side issues are found that is)
Thank you!

Good morning TagDIV

I bought the newspaper theme, and I’m very pleased with the design and the ease configuration
congratulations

However, I realized that there is a limit on the logo size that is 90px
I would like to change the logo size to 187x150px
which is the size of the logo of my website. it is possible?

my theme is the default – theme 1

1 – however I would only be changed to the desktop
for other devices (mobile, tablet, etc.), were not changed the size of the logo
remaining without alteration

changing the size of the logo?

2 – how to insert an effect “fade” in my logo,
for when I hovering the mouse over my logo, becomes transparent / opaque

thank you so much

Works for me on our site.

You might
a) try disabling any conflicting plugin settings like “mobile support” in Jetpack
b) check your page with console (e.g., F12 in chrome) for errors
c) make sure you clear all caching on both the website if used, and in browser(s)

Hi All,

I have three Menus : TopBar, Header Menu and Footer Menu.

Header Menu is Main Menu.
I’ve selected : ‘Smart snap (always)’ option, under ‘Sticky Menu’.
I’ve selected : ‘Header logo’ option, under ‘Logo on sticky menu’

In a particular post, I have three anchor links within the post. I’m using ‘Easy Smooth Scroll Links’ plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-smooth-scroll-links/ ) to create anchor links.

Here’s the observed behavior:

1> When the page/post is loaded first time and I click on any anchor link, I am taken to right place on the page/post. The ‘Header Menu’ doesn’t show up until I start scrolling up. This is expected behavior.

2> But after this, I’m facing the following problem, if I click again on any anchor link :

a> the ‘Header Menu’ with ‘Logo’ disabled shows up, even without scrolling the post/page (Header Menu shouldn’t show up till I scroll up and I’ve chosen Header Menu with Logo).

Scenario 1:

step 1> if I scroll down ‘Header Menu’ stays with ‘Logo’ disabled.
step 2> if I scroll up ‘Header Menu’ hides for 3-4 scrolls and resurfaces again with ‘Logo’ disabled and stays till the top of the webpage.
step 3> if I scroll down any time after ‘step 2’, ‘Header Menu’ hides and if I scroll up again, ‘Header Menu’ shows up but this time it shows up WITH ‘Header Logo’.

Scenario 2:

step 1> if I scroll up ‘Header Menu’ disappears after one scroll, but resurfaces after 3 scrolls.
step 2> if I scroll down any time after ‘step 1’, ‘Header Menu’ hides and if I scroll up again, ‘Header Menu’ shows up but this time it shows up WITH ‘Header Logo’.

This behavior is seen only on Desktop version. It works perfectly as expected on Mobile versions.

I’ve tested it on Mozilla Firefox and Chrome, both latest versions.

Can you please look into this and update about the same at the earliest.

Best,
