Hi @Anamaria,
Thank you for your response.
I do not installed a cached plugin at the moment. There is no cached file.
Also on the mobile, the mega menu subcategories appears correctly.. But not on desktop.
Hello,
To change/remove the background image for the menu on mobile, please access Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Background -> Mobile menu/search background and change/remove the image from here https://www.screencast.com/t/ATV1Jr7s
If you have the mobile theme activate then need to set the color in Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Theme Colors -> Mobile menu => https://www.screencast.com/t/Ejwx6NiE3a
Also, the settings from the theme panel are saved? if not, then please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-panel-settings-are-not-being-saved/ and try the suggestions.
Thank you!
Hi,
I think this problem also arose due to the fact that so far you have used a very old theme version, and now after the update it will seem like you are using another theme. If you want to see how many updates have been made in the meantime, you can check this list -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
As I said before, the tagdiv mobile theme plugin was not designed to work with shortcuts. Maybe in the version you had was the prototype from mobile theme where these issues have not yet been resolved.
Also, you can disable the mobile theme plugin on these pages or you can completely disable it and use the responsive version.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have tried some of these solutions and my site crashed. Some of the guides you sent me are way outside of my skillset. How do I contact support for help? I restored my site to yesterday’s version. But my images aren’t showing on mobile. This theme has also slowed my site down. Please advise
Hi,
We are not using any caching.
The changes we make, specifically, the background to the mobile menu, are saved but not showing as changed on mobile devices.
We have cleared browser cache
There is no website cache
We have used multiple devices
We have tried it on phones in multiple geographic locations
we have used browser resolution websites
We want the mobile site to look exactly like the demo.
The site is https://www.springfieldfitlife.com/
Any ideas?
My website is used primarily to display calendar items and dates. If this shortcode does not work in the Mobile Builder, the website (my business for 10 years, built with Newspaper) is useless.
Hi Calin:
Yes, I understand I have to use the TagDiv mobile builder (previously Bakery Builder code worked there, which was so helpful), but even that does not work.
Certain shortcodes work fine; other shortcodes appear as the shortcode itself, not rendering correctly. See mobile screen cap:
Hello Luciana!
Please edit your homepage with the TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB, select the menu icon and check if you set up a menu there.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hello,
Usually, that problem is related to the CORS policy that is blocking the access -> https://i.imgur.com/vxvPj7H.png . This problem can be solved using those guides:
– https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25577981/font-from-origin-has-been-blocked-from-loading-by-cross-origin-resource-sharing
– https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/71630/font-blocked-from-loading-by-cross-origin-resource-sharing-policy-no-access-co
Also, if you have the Mobile theme plugin installed and active, then you use the Mobile theme version. In order to display the responsive version, you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin.
Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
Hi, I have a problem with my website. When I view it from the mobile I cannot access the menu. going to the three lines of the menu the site shrinks but the menu does not open. the site is http://www.professionegenitori.it, if you can take a look and give me some advice I would be grateful.
The mobile version of my website isn’t working well. The hamburger menu and search box are Xs and all of my social icons are Xs as well. The home page looks different on my phone than it does in the tag div editor and sometimes the images won’t pull up. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Greetings!
Since several weeks, I can’t use basic theme options to upload image files such as favicon or logo for webpage via Newspaper theme panel. The theme gets stuck in a loop.
The column text option doesn’t work on page creation either… The theme gets stuck in a loop…
I’ve already done all the theme updates and the license is assigned.
I understand what you mean, but those were the steps that where made for the mobile theme to make it faster -> https://i.imgur.com/7TwUEdy.png so the mobile theme editor will not work with shortcode from builders, you need to use only the mobile editor to create the pages content.
So, my suggestion is to use the responsive version on those pages (https://i.imgur.com/VaZYWDa.png) or in case that you have many pages, then I think that you need to disable the mobile theme plugin and use the responsive version.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Indeed, Google first indexes the mobile version, therefore, Google taking SEO factors from the mobile page setup.
But, keep in mind that using specialized plugins in SEO, will created SEO for both versions.
Thank you!
Hello,
So, I understand you use a header template from Theme Panel, I recommend using header templates from tagDiv Cloud Library which offers you more possibilities.
You can set another menu for mobile only if you use the mobile theme plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/vJIYKI5.png
Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
Hi, I have the same problem. After updating Newspaper theme the hamburger menu for mobile has stopped working: https://www.hellpress.com/
I use Autoptimize plugin for css and js.

But it’s also worth mentioning that even shortcodes don’t work in the mobile editor anymore!
Hi Calin:
Thank you so much for the response! ?
The issue is definitely with pages, not posts.
This is what the page looks like on the back end, so you can see.

As long as the mobile plugin is off, this displays properly on both desktop and mobile!
When I turn on the mobile theme plugin, the mobile editor appears below, obviously.
Previously, I would simply paste the code from the main builder INTO the mobile editor. And for years this worked 100% fine.
Now, however, the code renders like this (excuse some areas removed for privacy):
https://pasteboard.co/T1LvrpyiMtJY.png
In other words, since going from Newspaper 8 to 11, the builder code no longer works in the mobile editor.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to recreate all of the pages on my website so I can use both regular editor and mobile editor so it renders correctly on both.
And again, thanks Calin!
Hi,
Please disable the tagDiv mobile theme plugin, clear all cache and check after the mobile version.
Also, please check the above topic provided -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ here is explicit all the mobile versions provided by our theme.
This is most common with cache plugins. If the cache plugin does not support mobile devices, the mobile theme version can be used instead.
Instead, use the recommended WP Super Cache plugin and enable these settings (particularly mobile device support): https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you!
Hello.
Trying to setup mobile page template.
Where will search engine such as Google take the SEO factors from? The normal page or the separate mobile page you can create with this theme.
This is very important to know if we need to duplicate the SEO factors on the mobile page template we create. I also ask this question because google has mobile first indexing now.
So, Google taking seo factors from the normal page or the mobile pages able to setup?
Thanks
Yes but, I am using a header configured through the Newspaper theme panel, and under that configuration it seems I can only select one menu type, so, do I have to use a custom mobile menu in order to configure it?
I thought that the Newspaper theme panel would provide a way to do so.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
You can assign another menu for the mobile version -> https://i.imgur.com/0LEgkTh.png
If you mean anything else, then please provide more information about your try to achieve.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can’t design the mobile theme templates, because with its own templates and design for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
Also, please provide the link to your website.
Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
Hello,
This is because the Google reCAPTCHA v2 plugin does not apply to the mobile theme plugin only on the responsive and desktop version.
My suggestion is to disable the mobile theme plugin from those pages -> https://i.imgur.com/2Z0upaK.png
Thank you!
Hi bizudaniel,
I did not understand if before the update you use mobile theme plugin or not, or it was only used for amp.
The layout and header you have now can be edited using tagDiv Composer.
For using the mobile theme or/and amp you can check those guide:
-> The Newspaper Mobile Theme: Introduction
-> The Mobile Theme settings
-> tagDiv AMP Plugin Tutorial
Also, this video can help you -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
