I got an error message from Google earlier after updating to the latest version of the theme, saying – “An AMP component ‘script’ tag is present, but unused.” I just don’t know how to go about resolving this issue. I’ve been using AMP in the oldest version of newsmag. The new version now has Mobile Theme work side by side with AMP.
I don’t like the sliding animation for menu and search in mobile and would like to remove it.
Do you have custom code to do that?
A good example here: beebom.com
have install new WordPress 5.2.1
install them newspaper (lastest version from themeforest date:2019-05-25) and activated – successful
now i have installed required plugins: tagDiv Cloud Library and tagDiv Social Counter ok; tagDiv Composer failed!
manual installation in backend over Newspaper / Welcome “Start with the Newspaper Theme” failed
An error occurred and we could not finish the process.
Please reload the page and try again
manual installation in backend over Newspaper >>> Plugins failed
The file could not be copied. td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/assets/css/td_legacy_main.css
manual installation over ftp failed

What can i do?
I’m reviewing my pages in Search Console and I do not know why I get an error “the page is not optimized for mobile devices”
I have activated the mobile theme and also the amp plugin configured as MOBILE + AMP

hi, how do you change the color of the categories in the mobile template? then I wanted to ask: I modified the whole template in the td composer but what appears to me on the screen does not correspond to what appears to me on the phone. that is, on the phone I have modules while on the computer everything is different (header included).
How do I disable AMP on mobile to remain only with a responsive theme?
Hi we have recently updated the newsmag theme to the latest version installed the mobile theme and amp plugin. But the amp is not working? If you visit https://scaffmag/?amp it just times out. We use cloudflare but use the suggested caching plugin wp super cache. Is there some setting I need to implement??
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Hi there.
I used your css and it shows whatsapp and Line share buttons now on my site on desktop. That is great.
I have the Line app, and everything works fine.
But I don’t have the whatsapp app on desktop and after clicking on whatsapp symbol a popup popsup and shows an error.
I have 2 ideas for improvement UX.
1. Link the whatsapp-icon to https://web.whatsapp.com/ that way the user doesn’t have to have the app installed, but can still use whatsapp.
2. Let a little text appear (some kind of tooltip) which says; “this works only on mobile, or if you have the app installed.”
What do you think? Please let me know if there is any possibility to get this done 🙂
Cheers
Mike
Hi guys, for the first time, my custom ad code is not displaying after installing from 9.6.1 to 9.7.2.
Here on 9.6.1, you can see the three custom ads below the nav bar: coronadotimes.com
Here on 9.7.2, the ads are NOT showing up under the nav bar: coronadotimes.com/development
So, I know that something with the custom code broke, but I’m not sure where to fix it. I looked in both of the above URLs in the “custom ad 1” area and they both have the same code:
<div class="td-all-devices SP_Below_Header_As_Rotate">
So, any thoughts?
Hello calin

Thank you for the reply, but unfortunately it doesn’t solve the issue at the “blog” section.
Let’s say that we found the way (in the back end) to remove the appearance of the subcategories, and that’s a non issue.
The problem is where not all categories and subcategories are not showing (we have a lot of subcategories). I don’t know how to show you the problem.
The mobile menu shows all the depths (except the first level) of categories as one, there isn’t a submenu for subcategories on the mobile menu…
So if you have:
Main menu
— submenu1
—–subsubmenu1
—–subsubmenu2
—–subsubmenu3
——-subsubsubmenu1
——-subsubsubmenu2
——-subsubsubmenu3
—–subsubmenu4
——-subsubsubmenu4
——-subsubsubmenu5
——-subsubsubmenu6
the mobile menu will show it as:
Main menu
— submenu1
—–subsubmenu1
—–subsubmenu2
—–subsubmenu3
—–subsubsubmenu1
—–subsubsubmenu2
—–subsubsubmenu3
—–subsubmenu4
—–subsubsubmenu4
—–subsubsubmenu5
—–subsubsubmenu6
And, ok that is a hierarchical problem that we found a way to workaround and show (only the second depth) as:
Main menu
— submenu1
—–subsubmenu1
—–subsubmenu2
—–subsubmenu3
—–subsubmenu4
BUT, there is sa “limit” where let’s say in this case, it gets only the first 5 menus, where it shows:
Main menu
— submenu1
—–subsubmenu1
—–subsubmenu2
—–subsubmenu3
——-subsubsubmenu1
——-subsubsubmenu2
And when we remove subsubsubmenus it show as:
Main menu
— submenu1
—–subsubmenu1
—–subsubmenu2
—–subsubmenu3
and now the last subsubmenu4 isn’t shown because of the “limit” (and we don’t know where the limit can be rised)
That’s the problem, not the hiding of subcategories (3rd level depth) more than upping the limit
Hi all,
In documentation, “Mobile theme” appear down in “theme panel”. I don’t have, even if I have the Mocile theme activated in Plugins.
Normal ? From an update ?
Thank you.
Benj
Also, whilst modifying the plugin will change the modified date, it does not change on mobile and it still shows the published date, which could explain why google is still showing the original published date.
Is there a way to show the modified date also on mobiles.
I am also using the built-in theme functionality for display in between content ads but it only has one ad unit which can be inserted after specif paragraphs, I need to insert 3 ad units in the post, after 3rd Para, 6th Para and 10th Para respectively and for that I was using the Advanced Ads Pro plugin.
This thing is very important for my blog, please provide me with a solution to fix this and also disabling auto post load is not an option because that was the reason I purchased this theme.
2. So if the Login/Logout Header Module is not working in mobile, how can I hide it from Mobile users only and continue displaying it to desktop users.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please make sure that you have selected am menu for mobile device -> https://www.screencast.com/t/NDq91T8MR565
Thank you!
Hi,
If you do not deactivate the mobile them plugin on responsive version of Newspaper theme will be show the ads from theme panel ads -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/
Thank you!
Hi,
1. Depends on the ad code, if it’s valid it should work. Maybe there are extra requirements in order for the code to work as well. Check the instructions from the ad provider, and follow them.
Some providers have extra requirements, like verification codes that have to be entered in specific locations. Or maybe the ads appear after a period of time.
2. The columns of a row should fall one below the other on mobile. So on desktop while it looks like this – http://prntscr.com/nsrrby on mobile it will be like this
– http://prntscr.com/nsrrmq
What is happening in your case with the columns?
Note that if you have the mobile theme enabled the content from desktop will not appear on mobile. The mobile page content has to be entered in the mobile editor
– http://prntscr.com/nsrsiu with simple text, images etc.

Thanks
Hi,
Please try to not use plugins for ads, and use only the functionality that our theme is provide for ads, I think that you have a conflict between your plugin ads and our theme.
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/T9A5ddTNJK
Unfortunately the Login/Logout Header Module is not working for mobile, sorry!
Thank you!
Hi,
In order to show only a part of subcategories in mobile menu you can use this custom css
https://www.screencast.com/t/IKJLJ8ly
.td-mobile-content ul li ul li:nth-child(n+5){
display: none;
}
Set the code in Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css; in this way you’ll not need to use child theme or make any changes in theme.
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
HI Vlad,
Thanks for the solution. It works.
Anyway, can you help me on the mobile version top banner ads? I don’t know how to set it after I deactivate the mobile theme plugin.
Hi,
The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ebUIzt4se
Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Also for the 3 blocks, you’ll need to have set same feature posts (that have set feature category) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/QsJ6ppY4
If you want the responsive version and amp you should use this opinion -> https://www.screencast.com/t/jZct5ueBqOrb but if you have amp activate on pages you’ll need to create in Mobile editor a content for AMP version of page.
Let me know if you have more questions!
Hi,
From what I can see you use an older version of the theme, and the old AMP plugin which is now discontinued (not provided anymore). Pages can be compatible with AMP, but only if they are built with the simple WordPress editor – http://prntscr.com/nsnpmo and not with the composer.
After the theme update 9.6 there is a new solution for AMP – http://prntscr.com/nsnq80
The official AMP plugin can be used together with the mobile theme plugin, there is a guide here
– https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
When the mobile theme is enabled, you will have to create 2 versions for each page. One for desktop with the composer, and one for mobile with the simple mobile editor (can’t be built with the composer)
The mobile version of pages will be compatible with AMP, regardless of how it is built for desktop.
You can see how the mobile theme looks and works in this demo website, with a mobile phone or browser mobile emulator – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/
The AMP version will look the same.
Thanks
Hi,
I have two problems that need help.
1. I have set the following ad code to appear on mobile, however, it seems like it’s not appearing.
http://prntscr.com/nsmoys
2. ON the cloud template, I have added a 4-column row, and added a single image on each. It’s appearing well on the desktop, however is not showing on the mobile version.
Help?
THanks.
Also, the Login/Logout Header Module which is inserted on the header is not working in Mobile mode.
we’ve tried a lot of things… we’ve made a copy of the site here
https://staging2.ekreator.hr
We’ve updated the main theme and turned off the child theme (all the changes are in the child theme) and turn off non essential plugins… so bare bones portal.
We have 3 depths of categories but only want to see first 2, so on the main site (let just focus on the “blog” top category) you only see few categories.
When we use a lot of subcategories (because we aggregate sites) is where the problem arises.
The modification that we did was hiding the deepest category from menu upped the limit, but we only found that for the “mega menu” on this location:
includes/shortcodes/td_block_mega_menu.php
But now we have a problem for the “mobile menu” that we can’t seem to find where to up the limit.
This is a summarry of the problem, if you need more, in depth problem clarification, I can do it with videos and screenshots if you need.
Thanks
