Hi,

That is a very old theme version, security risks would be present indeed. You should strongly consider to update to the latest version 9.2.2 and also the latest version of WordPress. That would be the best solution in this case.

There have been many optimizations made over the years, new features were added and of course security issues were resolved immediately when identified. Note the updated theme requirements guide as well
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

The changelog for each version can be seen here, at the bottom of the page
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

Thanks

Hi,

First please make sure that the theme requirement are well set – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
WP_MEMORY_LIMIT try to increase it to a value of double you already have if possible.
-> https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/requirements-and-recommendations/

If there is still some problems, make sure that you have the last version of theme, and all theme plugins are updated; deactivate tagDiv Composer until you make/edit the revolution slider, after you make the changes that you need, and you save the slider, activate the tagDiv Composer ( or you can make this revolution slider on localhost and import it to live website ).

Thank you.

Be sure that the theme requirements are met, also add the code provided at the bottom of the guide in the htaccess file
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Doesn’t look alright from what I can see in the screenshot. If you investigated plugins and the requirements are set properly and the same happens, we could take a look at it. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.

@nhatkymua
You can send us an email as well if you already tried the above, mention how we can see the problem in your case. We will take a look.

My theme is Newpress 9.2.2 When I install tagdiv composer everything disappears on my website including the admin area. To activate another theme I have to rename or delete the folder from the Newspaper theme via FTP. I already read the forum and the answers are unsatisfactory. I checked all the requirements before buying the theme and when buying still I can not use it. Do you have any plans for a revision of the theme?

Hi,

In most cases 500 errors are caused by low WP-memory. As plugins are installed the memory will eventually get exhausted, most hosting providers are limiting it to 40M by default.

We recommend a value of 256M which would be decent for most websites. Check what is the value of the WP-memory in the theme system status panel. If needed increase it, or ask the hosting provider to increase it for you if possible
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Check the other parameters mentioned in the guide as well.

Thanks

Hi,

Notice that the footer content can be changed from the panel. The theme has more footer templates which might be customized from Widgets section area, according to your footer template used by you. Please check the documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/ Also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our requirements from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

I would suggest that you check the theme requirements guide. Check if there is enough WP memory and the necessary PHP extensions are available (especially mbstring – https://www.screencast.com/t/YX4mKZmlUPFw)

Also, try the suggestion from this topic and add the mentioned code in the .htaccess file
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/

Also, disable all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.

Let us know the results.
Thanks.

Hi,

Please notice that’s not a problem which comes from our theme, sorry! Please keep in mind that AMP is a built-in plugin which was optimized and integrate into our theme according to the official requirements so far. It would be preferable that you use large images on your site to get the best results. More recently, it seems that Google has put these warnings for the images which are less than 1200 pixels wide (likewise, the height of portrait images should be at least 1200 pixels). The best solution, in this case, would be to manually replace your old image with another one which has minimum 1200px wide, sorry! For more information about this case, you can check the topic that @Eric V mentioned above -> https://tehnoblog.org/how-to-fix-google-search-console-amp-image-size-smaller-than-recommended-in-wordpress/ because this aspect has also been discussed here.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello:
Yes, I am using the latest theme version and I meet or exceed all requirements.

But I am using a new version of PHP. I’m using PHP 7.2.14.

I found my site and service running much better and faster when I moved from 7.1 to 7.2 a few months ago. Any plans to support 7.2 soon?

Maybe there is insufficient memory, we recommend a value of 256M and these other requirements
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Under these circumstances the theme and theme plugins should run properly. If there aren’t enough resources there could be such problems.

Hi,

I have checked this case and seems to works as expected. If you want to know which values are set up by default, you need to use the Inspector browser and check the value from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/96p2vT6STCf Ensure that your system status parameters are correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

That could be related to the PHP version that the server is using. The currently supported version is up to PHP 7.1. Please check if you are using higher or a lover version that the one mention in the requirements.

Also please make sure that the theme system status is configured as mentioned in the requirements guide. Please follow the guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.

Also please make sure that you have one of the latest version of the theme.

Thanks

Hi,

So the composer is loading continuously? Does it happen if you add a new page and edit it with the composer?
First thing to check is if the theme requirements are met
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Be sure to note the code provided at the bottom of the guide, that solved various issues.

If you already checked these the next step is to investigate plugins, make a quick test and deactivate them all except theme plugins. Check the results.

In case the issue still happens, we could take a look. Provide admin login and also cPanel if possible at contact@tagdiv.com and include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

Please make sure that your system status parameters are correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/ First of all, increase the PHP memory to e min 256 MB.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

First thing to check would be the requirements guide (note the code at the bottom of the guide)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Next would be to investigate plugins, make a quick test and deactivate them all except theme plugins. Check if this has any effect.
If you made any modifications to theme files directly or by a child theme, or added various codes in the theme files or theme panel, temporarily remove them and check again.

If you already tried or checked these, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. Please include a link to this topic in the email. Mention what exactly we should check.

Thanks
