Hi guys I am Vijay Kumar. I am a SEO exper with over 5 years of experience. Here on the I found some serious issues with the schema.org code, need to be modified.

here at the URL you can see the breadcrumbs showing govtjobmela.com>>Home>>Job by Qualification>>10th

But it should show like govtjobmela.com>>Job by qualification>>10th

  • Add the schema.org code for the theme for following objects.
webpage, organization, comments, author, site navigation, blog posting, creative work, improve breadcrumbs schema, site search etc…
  • Add header, footer, body open and body close place holders in theme options panel so users can put some other analytics code in there EX:Google Tag manager codes

For now please make these improvements and I’ll let you know if anything need to be modified…
I am a big fan of Tag Div and News Paper theme. Hope you will update the theme

Thank You!

Hi all,

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Please notice that this is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services is not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit to our requirements.

Hello troypener,

First of all, please ensure that you have respected our list of requirements for our product, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Also, try to update the theme to the latest version of it and also, all the required plugins which come bundled with the theme, clear all your caches and test it again. Basically, the latest Fatal error is happening due to the old version of Visual Composer. Try to update it and check the results.
Please try to clear this and re-install the latest version of the theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For more information about this, consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello,
I want to make my WordPress blog’s ‘Newspaper’ theme full width for the desktop version only.
Here are the things I want –

1. The widget (on the right) get closer to the right with only a little space left on the right hand side. However, the size of the widget area remains the same i.e., I only want it to push closer to right.

2. The content area stretches more to the left and leaves less free area on the left hand side.

3. Full width header area i.e., Logo stick to the extreme corner of left and also the top menu (in black) to begin from the extreme left.

4. full width footer area.

I think these all requirements can be achieved by just increasing the width of the container for the desktop version of the site, but I was a bit confused after looking at that huge CSS code.

URL – http://thatsbreaking.com
theme – Newspaper

I will be very happy to receive some suggestions to make the blog more attractive, if you have any suggestions then do share them with me.
I tried to mention every detail here, but still if I missed any then let me know.
Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

Hello tribonet,

Please try to make a new clean install from scratch on the new sub-domain with the latest version from Theme Forest. You should do this only via FTP way because this is the surest and safe method in this regard. Notice that the Visual Composer is fully compatible with the theme and until now we have not encountered any problems in this regard. For more information about how you can install the VC, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/
I have inspected your website on Google Insights and I noticed that you have not optimized it properly.

Hi,

We have only tested wp super cache and found these settings to work best: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ and for cdn: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Maybe our users tested other plugins as well.
You should also choose your host based on the num,ber of visitors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ caching can do only so much without proper hosting.

Thank you!

A proper “system requirements” would be what could have done the job. As I said.. ONLY WP-plugin/theme related support ask for “keys to the whole villa” when you ask for support. There are no real reasons why this is needed unless it’s because you assume you are dealing with a totally newb user. No professionals or corporate users give away credencials to entire systems.. it’s just not done.
And there are no info you will get from logging into the users system that user/me cannot provide you. So this appear to be a matter of principle now for you. That’s not very professional of you.

You have great theme and usually excellent support. But your final answer was really unprofessional and disappointing. And look, a non tagdiv employeed user provided now provided me with a relevant feedback that I can use to investigate! All you did was waste my time with pointless silly request for system access.

Hello,

You can request a refund on envato if you want, but this is not a problem from the start. The theme has a few requirements that your host must fulfill in order for the theme to work properly. Please use this guide and increase your memory size accordingly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You can check to see if these options were set properly in this section of the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/SmUVOrxh
It is something the theme requires to run properly, not a theme bug.

Thank you!

Buna,
Multumesc

Hello,
Sorry but there is no workaround for the system status parameters. You will have to be able to set them properly. Otherwise it means you will have to change hosting. Please contact your host and let him know you need these parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ If he cannot meet these requirements, it;s time to look for a new host.
Thank you!

Hi,
unfortunately these are the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If you cannot increase these parameters, sorry but you will have to change hosts as there is no workaround for it. sorry.

Hi,

This depends on your server configuration as the theme has some server requirementshttps://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/ Check also the System Status parameters like Chris suggested – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Consider also the other suggestions as Chris has experience with these kind of things.
Also you could try to reduce the ajax requests: try to not use mega menus, blocks with pagiantion(next prev, infinite load..) and see how it goes.

Thanks!

hello Catalin,
the server requirements are higher than required.
I updated the theme from 7.4 to 7.5, and soon I’ll do a test again to see if it was a temporary problem
thank you

Hello sonoria,

Please notice that I have added the Author Box block on my side in my footer and everything seems to work as properly. Hello andreaspom,

Please keep in mind that the Wp Super cache is fully tested with the theme and until now, seems to work as properly with our theme. Please ensure that you have disabled all the untested plugins from your side because all of these may interact with the theme and this plugin and cause a lot of unknown issues. If the problem persists, you should try to make a new clean install from scratch, only with tested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Also, you can check this online topic here -> https://wordpress.org/support/topic/timestamps-differ-or-were-not-found-3/ maybe will help you.

Hello,
1. You should check to see if speedbooster is indeed active and running. is it moving any other render blocking js and css? ius it doing nothing? check the system status and make sure you clear all caches after you change the plugin code. Disable any untested plugin as if you use our workaround for speedbooster to make it work with other plugins, it is not guaranteed it will move the plugins css and js.

2. If wp super cache is installed and runnign properly the system status should detect it as so. Please clear the hosting cache and purge cdn files and test again.

3. You should follow those instructions, yes as they are requirements for the installation of the plugin. After you install it, use this guide to set it properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

4. we still get some of the errors but we do not use speedbooster on our demo and as you can see it loads pretty fast without it. speedbooster will improve speed but it;s the optimization that you make until that point that count the most: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.tagdiv.com%2Fnewspaper%2F&tab=desktop

Give this topic a try also if you want to get the best out of your site’s page speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/

1. We have not tested SiteGround, sorry. As for the specs, I cannot disclose them. Our theme has these requirements for hosting https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
3 and 4. We only use these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ we have not tested anything extra that is not specified in the guide
5. If using wordfence you will have to make sure you set the firewall on learning mode otherwise it will block any setting in the theme panel and block any change you make to your theme. It seems to work fine otherwise.
6. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
7. The main reason is that it’s the option that works best with our theme. We have tried all settings to see which combination works best and this was the result we found to be the best solution. We recommend PHP, not mode rewrite
Thank you!

The tagdiv team obviously have been adjusting the code over time and that is much appreciated.

If I understand correctly there are a core of php 7 / php 5.6 / php 5.5 / php 5.4 commands that work with all versions. I guess the tagdiv are avoiding using new commands added in php 7 and replacing commands that had been deleted (i.e. not supported). Ideally this would also includes commands that are deprecated but still present.

I did a quick check and found only 5 instances which could be classified as errors for php 7 (this nicely less than a 2015 version of the theme I looked at).

The speed improvements (double) and less resource requirements of php 7 are significant improvements. Any chance I could encourage a further review of the code?

Thanks.

Hello,

There seems to be a major issue on your site as not even google can access it to provide the page speed insight.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
If the issue is still there, please make sure you meet the requirements for newspaper and increase the system status parameters. These 2 guides should help:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
After you make sure everything is set and you only use the tested and approved plugins, then you can start optimizing your site speed.

Hello,

The files are the same. The tracking code should be added in the same files. Parts of the code got moved and some got removed and some parts added in. Code gets optimized on each update but the file structure remains the same. Header and footer.php are requirements for every theme so they will not get removed. The head and body tag will always be located in the header.php file
Maybe you have them set through the child theme. We also recommend updating the child theme as well. Please read this topic for an explanation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/setting-up-child-theme/

Thank you!
