Yep. Different theme has different modules. So you would need to recreate any home page layout. Might be easier if you’ve already moved to TD Composer from Visual Composer.
There some good plugins — theme check? I forget — that let you ‘try’ a new theme without losing all the settings/transients from original theme. Might be worth doing that first.
And always make backups of everything via ftp, php/myadmin, export WP dbase, export theme settings into a text file (e.g,. any custom widget text, any custom text in theme panel, any custom text in layout boxes…).
Not sure that helps – but some feedback anyway.
This error apears with tag div composer. I have upload the theme via FTP also and still not working properly
Hi,
At the moment there is no option in the theme to change the post width. The tagDiv composer can only be used on pages, not posts.
This is an example of a post with sidebar
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-microsoft-subsumes-open-tech-unit-back-inside-mothership/
Here is a post with no sidebar, the post content has the full theme width
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-five-things-you-may-have-missed-over-the-weekend-from-the-world-of-business/
Changing the post content width could only be done with custom code, and it is not recommended. The elements used depend on the theme’s fixed width, changing it could damage the layout.
Thanks
Hello,
There is a part on the front page that I cannot edit / customize by tagDiv Composer.
That’s the part right above the footer (I am using the default demo).
I think the elements are “td-pd-sapn8.tb-main-content” and “td-pd-span4.td-main-sidebar”.
Please let me know how to edit / customize them.
The plugin does not have a valid header.

Hi,
I’ve just switched my demo to “Clearvoice” from “Tech” and i can not make the same spaces that in the demo: https://puu.sh/wSFZs/c69220cc3d.PNG
In my homepage it looks like that, with borders and white color instead of the background color https://puu.sh/wSFZd/68bcb66491.PNG. I use TD COmposer, i make an empty space and drop row in it: /
Thanks in advance
Hello muratozer,
Please keep in mind that until now, we do not receive any bad reports in this case, sorry! Please try to make a new fresh install to a sub-domain and re-install the WordPress and the theme and use only the required plugins which come bundled with the theme core files and check the results. TD Composer was fully tested with the theme and should not cause any problem with the admin panel accessing, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Whenever I try to add a slide to a TD column in a page, I see a loading icon then the entire column disappears. I
have tried it in a new page as well as by editing my existing pages. I am not able to add the image slide to any of the pages.
Hi there,
great theme. I use header 3 with it but I would like to reduce the space above the logo (no top bar) and between the logo and the main menu. Where can I change that? This is not possible within the Td Composer?
Thanks for your help.
You don’t have to use TD Composer; you can keep using Visual Composer if you wish.
TDC is not a 1:1 replacement for VC. You would need to redo your layout for home page or custom page with TDC if you choose to use that instead.
Can’t you use normal HTML/CSS3/HTML5 tables?
You might be able to add CSS for the table classes you’re using.
(I don’t work here; just food for thought.)

Hi,
Thanks.
1) Since I plan on using only the TD Composer can I just not install/activate the Visual Composer or is it needed?
2)I can’t drag any elements. Even when I create a new page. I see the elements available on the left side but when I drag nothing happens…
Thanks!

We are having an issue with Visual Composer elements. The blocks, which were previously available when you choose an element in VC are now not showing. The actual code is there if you look at the text in the page (example: [td_block_big_grid_6 td_grid_style=”td-grid-style-4″ category_id=”26″ offset=”1″])
…but the blocks themselves are not appearing in the element list. Previously, you could choose a block to display on the page and select various categories / filters but none of that is available now.
If I create a test page and put one of the templates on it (like a homepage template) on it, the blocks will still appear on the front end, but the column design is not correct.
This site was created by a previous developer who did not create a child theme so we can’t upgrade it at this time. We place to rebuild it at some point, but for now getting it fully functional is the highest priority.
Hello,
1) No, you do not need to purchase anything. Visual composer is already provided free of charge with our theme. Simply ignore the message as you already have the full version of the plugin.
We recommend using td composer if you are starting fresh though as it is the recommended choice.
2)The page is probably whie because you did not add any content to it. Please try to drag some elements to the page.
Thanks.
Is there a way to theme the user page (ie, /author/admin/) with TD composer? i want to change the look of the block.
cheers,
Hi,
Two questions:
1. Do I have to install and activate WPBakery Visual Composer? I have a brand new site and I am just getting started using the theme and was planning on just using TD Composer.
2. I installed a demo. When I go to my “Home — Front Page” page and choose Edit with TD Composer I see the left side bar where it says Add Element, but the right side is just all white, the page is not showing up. How do I fix that?
Thanks!
Hey there,
how to disable (ajax) pagination on blocks (Mega Menus, Latest Posts) without having TD Composer right now?
Due to the fact that our site is quite big we cant migrate that easy from VC to TDC.
Thanks in advance for your help.
When i click on TD Composer on the frontend of homepage, i’ll i get is a grey background with spinning wheel. But in the admin page for edit page for home, it works fine?
WHY NOT ROLL BACK TO PRIOR VERSION WHILE LEARNING TO TRANSITION TO NEW VERSION?
ANY MAJOR THEME UPGRADE IS LIKE INSTALLING A NEW THEME; IT IS NOT JUST A BUG/FEATURE UPDATE. RTFM BEFORE UPGRADING THEMES TO MAJOR VERSIONS; DON’T UPGRADE THEMES DURING MISSION CRITICAL AD CAMPAIGNS.
DONT USE VISUAL COMPOSER AND TD COMPOSER AT SAME TIME.
YOU MAY NEED TO RECREATE YOUR LANDING PAGE WITH NEW SETTINGS, IF USING THE NEW VERSION OR CHOOSING TO MOVE TO TD COMPOSER VS VISUAL COMPOSER.

hi, td composer is quite slow and the nav on the left gets cut.

Thank you, thank you, thank you…After several hours of hair-pulling, that worked. Am powering through the site recreating pages with TD composer and loving it. So much simpler, sped the site up, too. Appreciate your help.
Best

Hi everyone –
A newbie here, and searched a couple of times in the forums, but couldn’t find the answer.
I just installed Newsmag on my site and love it so far. But running into a persistent problem neither I nor my theme installer person can fix.
The issue is that the default treatment of certain styles — specifically, the blockquote style. The default styling is large, centered, and colored text. We see it here in the forums. I changed that via CSS stylesheets to something I can use. So everything is fine on the front-end.
The problem now is that when I’m writing or editing a post (NOT A PAGE, a POST, so Visual Composer or tD composer are not involved), the blockquote style behaves as it did before the CSS changes.
So the question is, how do we either make the visual editor inherit the CSS styles from the frontend, or change the default theme styles so that both the backend post editor (TinyMCE?) and the frontend website use the same styles?
We already know about the font handling in the theme, which is wonderful. But those don’t cover the default styles (again, the best example is the “blockquote” style).
Thank you
Hi there,
Firstly thanks for the theme, it’s awesome. I’m a complete web novice and really happy with how much the theme has helped me get to grips with things. Thanks for that.
Having a problem with the Edit Content button in the Element “Text with title”. Clicking edit content brings up the WP Editor window, and the loading circle just continues forever and it never loads. No idea why and no idea where to start with fixing it. I’ve done the usual reinstall plugins, try different browsers, different pcs and different user logins, but no joy.

I did a google and the only result I can find is this thread: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/td-composerelement-text-with-title-problem/
My theme system panel looks ok. The home site URL being different I have been told is 100% not an issue by my friend who does the hosting, and the button did work a week or so ago.

Any help appreciated. Happy to create a temporary login. I’m a complete rookie, so go easy please, lol.
Hello flicker,
If you do not like our page builder, please do not use it, sorry! Notice that TD Composer does not have all shortcodes which Visual Composer has. Also, our builder is at the beginning and also, it is in a continuous development. You will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has. From now on, this plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
