1. Block modules will display author name, date, comment count and reviews

Some also display excerpts and read more buttons. They do not display view counts, or like counters. That could only be done with module file modifications or maybe plugins.
2. I believe you are referring to the excerpts. You could add manual excerpts and insert line breaks as you wish

3. Once entered in a text element the video will be displayed instead of the actual link. You could use an inline text for example, and enter the video link in the description

7. The theme does not have such options at the moment. Once entered in the theme panel, the ads will be displayed on the whole website. You could use a plugin to have better control over the ads. The Adrotate plugin is mainly suggested by other theme users

That issue is in almost all cases caused by caching. After an update please clear all caching installed and CDN if used.

After an update, td.composer is causing heavy WP admin load of anything int it. after deactivating it, everything is back in normal. Where is the problem?
Delete the td composer plugin and update it with the copy that came with the version 8.7 and reupload the 8.7 version of the theme to your site.

I noticed on the Newspaper site that there was another update on February 15, 2018 but nothing mentioned in the Changelog section. Were the bug problems fixed from February 14, 2018 with this update?
I had to have our host revert our site back one day so I wanted to make sure that the issues many people had along with us were resolved before going through this issue all over again.

@StephenLieu no. You will just have to delete the newspaper theme 8.6 and install the 8.7 plus the plugins it comes with (td composer has been updated). But remember to back up your site before updating. @luchtzak ftp is the best way, but for me, I have access to my cpanel, so I usually just upload the theme directly into the theme folder and extract it from there without having to connect via ftp.
After update for Newspaper 8.7 my WP-ADMIN showed 502 ERROR. The cause this error is ../Newspaper/includes/td_config.php
When replace td_config.php the version Newspaper 8.6 is work.
Please, fix the file td_config.php Newspaper 8.7.

Just purchased the 8.6 theme and got a notice that the 8.7 is available. If i update, would i need to go through the whole process again through ftp, installing demo, and configuring it all over again or is there an easier way?
I did the following steps:
deactivated and deleted the tagdiv composer
updated to 8.7
and it works!
anything else that I should do ?

There are many solutions provided in here already. Deactivate and delete the td composer and install the one that came with the new theme. For future updates, it is better to update the theme via FTP https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ .
Last night I asked the automatic updater to update newspaper to version 8.7
Articles are working just fine, but the page(s) are not working (header is displayed then page is white).
My main site http://www.aviation24.be has been assembled with the composer.
I can’t afford any new downtime. Via Facebook they asked me to ask my question in this topic.

I’ve used literally dozens of WordPress themes over the years — and have purchased several from Envato — but have never encountered this process as the only viable option for theme updates before. Maybe I’ve just been really lucky.

I thought you said you updated to version 8.7? Install the version 8.7 you downloaded from envato via your cpanel (ftp). Then deactivate and delete the td composer plugin and install the one that is inside the version 8.7 theme in Newspaper>Plugins. That should solve your problem.
Just a btw, have you updated the theme first before installing the new td composer?
I tried to update the website. The website crashed completely. I renamed the plugin folder on the server to get it running again. I activated the main plugins again.But on the front side only menu is showing, in the back end the visual composer short codes can be seen on pages. Still the active theme is 8.5
I need assistance to get the site running again.

after update to recent version I got this:

Shows up in the sidebar on http://www.puffbohne.de. It does not work to just change the directory wp_booster to the former version.

Just update the parent theme using that guide. The child theme will not be affected.
