Yeah. The update is perfect except the amp. If you need the previous version, you can ping me.
Hello, when I try search for how to update newspaper theme I get only instructions for installing it. Could you please give me the steps to updating a theme? I’d like the easiest route possible.
Thank you!
Hi Catalin – I have tried everything but nothing has worked.. I even did a fresh install – reset database, deleted all plugins and theme files, and still ended up with the same problem. I am now thinking about claiming a refund to avoid further issues. I need a stable solution for my news site. I chose Newspaper for it’s age and number of sales.. I assumed it was near perfect – as perfect as software can be. Please assist me to sort the update?
Delete the td composer plugin and install the updated version that came with the theme version 8.7.
Do you have access to your cpanel? Login and delete the td composer plugin and install the one that came with theme version 8.7. Also, update the theme via FTP and all should be well.
Not a fiasco, just need to learn how to upgrade themes when there are major updates.
Hi, i have updated to 8.7 but Admin stop to Work, how i can solve?
Thanks for the help.
I updated to 8.7 🙂 tbh, a site like mine is there any useful new features or is it just a performance update from 8.0? I read the blog you sent but cant come across any new features (for a blog with galleries, not store or business – https://tinyurl.com/ctmhtrn)
Thanks again!
Hi, I have done the update today and after the update the size of images on pages (made with visual composer) isn’t anymore correct. It is not fitting anymore correctly to the size of the column. Even if I change the size of the image to a thumbnail it is not shown in thumbnail style and size.
Could it be possible that the actual visual composer is missing in the new update file (can’t find the js_composer.zip file in the new 8.7 version).
Please help me, as the website is not presentable atm.
Regards,
Patrik
First, update the theme via FTP. Then delete the tagdiv composer plugin and install the updated version that came with the theme. If you use visual composer, after updating the tagdiv composer, deactivate the tagdiv composer and I hope it should be fine now.
I installed the updated version of td composer but it doesn`t work for me
Delete the td composer plugin and install the updated version that came with the theme version 8.7.
Delete the td composer plugin and install the updated version that came with version 8.7. That will solve your problem. But make sure you update the theme first via FTP before updating the plugin.
It seems from update 8.6, any social icons that do not fit inside the width of the device screen are hidden automatically behind that plus sign. Unless you mean all the social icons are hidden inside the plus sign, then that is a problem.
I uploaded 8.7 successfully, but when clicking activate, the screen goes white and I loose complete access to the back end. I spent an hour with my hosting company to get access back. It seems that the composer plugin might have been the issue, once we deactivated the 2.0 composer plugin and reinstalling 8.6 and the original plugin, its working again. How can I get the 8.7 update to work correctly? Thanks
Hello
since update to 8.7 my homepage is only showing the header and the other elements are gone.
please can you help?
Try and disable the tagdiv multipurpose plugin and see if it works coz that’d what initially made my theme panel to behave like that. (Delete the plugin and then install the one that came with version 8.7. Also remember to update td composer.).
Hi,
Please make sure that also tagdiv plugins were updated. Try to update them manually.
After you update the theme to the latest version 8.7 please deactivate and delete tagdiv composer and multipurpose and reinstall them from the theme package you download from themeforest – https://www.screencast.com/t/qW9yhmKst
If the issue persist please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can take a look.
Thanks!
Hi,
The date format displayed on post pages and modules, is affected by the WordPress general setting
– https://www.screencast.com/t/dZQ423f4
These are the parameters accepted
– https://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time
A last updated date is not possible through theme options. It may be available in the future.
For the post page there is a solution provided in this topic, if absolutely required

Thanks
Hello Jose,
Please try to follow all of the above steps and make a new clean install to another sub-domain for testing after you have made a full back up to your database and check the results. Use the FTP method for update the theme.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
We will add it also on Widgets section from the next update. At this time it is available only for tagdiv composer.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please do not reply in your own topic, this will only delay the response. We answer from oldest to newest, all topics will receive a reply in that order.
Regarding the issue, check in the widgets section to see what element is present in that location in the sidebar. That could be causing the issue.
Also check to see if it is a plugin conflict. Deactivate all the plugins, leave only theme plugins active. Clear all caching and CDN files. Then check the results.
Make sure you have updated all the theme plugins as well, deactivate and remove them. Re-install them from the latest theme package.
Thanks
Hi,
For anyone who still has problems, please try the suggestions Chris provided. Most important update theme by FTP, steps here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Update all the theme plugins. Deactivate and remove them, reinstall from theme package. The tagDiv composer and multi-purpose version is now 2.0
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CqK7d2S0p0
Clear all caches (browser cache as well) and CDN if used, then check the results. There should be no problems anymore.
If there are still problems please open new topics each, for further investigation.
Thanks
Hi,
That is quite an old theme version, much has changed in the theme since then. However you can make the update and there should be no problem. Follow this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Update by FTP if possible, this is the most recommended method in the matter. After the update deactivate the tagDiv composer, this composer may cause issues to pages built with Visual composer. It will be activated by default when the theme is installed or updated.
The tagDiv composer is considered the main theme page builder now, Visual composer will still be included in the package and updated along theme updates
