This issue persists with 12.6.2 – updating ( never had an update issue before )

The mobile plugin doesn’t auto install now but…

On mobile ( not plugin, responsive ) Big Grid Flex 1 corrupts to two massive images – the rest of the home page on mobile look fine – it’s Big Grid Flex 1 that is corrupting – no plugin deactivating or similar, fixes it – all site requirements are met all plugins tested. Only rolling back to 12.5 fixes the problem.

Desktop unaffected.

I’m experiencing an SEO issue where the blog tags on our site are being excluded from Google’s index due to a ‘noindex’ tag set through Yoast SEO. While we want to keep the tags visible on the blog for users to follow, we need to ensure that they are marked as “nofollow” to avoid them being indexed. This should be a permanent change that remains intact even after theme updates or future site modifications. The current setting in Yoast marks them as “noindex,” but they still appear as “follow” links in the blog template. We need a solution to globally set these tags as “nofollow” without affecting their visibility or requiring changes with each site update. The issue can be observed in the blog article at “https://globalwarmingisreal.com/2023/10/19/geothermal-energy-africa-hidden-green-energy-gem/”.

Ty for any help you can provide!

I did but I think the redis on the server had cached. had to login to vps and flush it. It has finally updated.

Now I need to do the gag like theme. I’ll check what you posted above and see if I can do that.
Thanks again @anamaria

Thanks Bettina

If I use the Direct bank Transfer method – it works. The subscription is created fine. I am having problems with Opt-In talking to Paypal (sandbox) and Stripe all of a sudden. There is an error message on checkout – Error parsing the paypal request error JSON: – SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unexpected EOF. This is since the update. Thank you for your help.

Since the update, payments are being taken through Opt-In Builder , but no subscriptions are being made and there’s no confirmation on checkout, nothing in clients dashboard. It’s like there is a sudden disconnect between the site and Opt In Builder. Please help urgently. I have written to TagDiv support already, thank you.

Under my license, I do not see an option to update domains to activate. Can I get some support installing this.

Hello,

You have the mobile theme plugin activated.
When the mobile theme plugin is used you need to set for pages the page content in mobile editor using only the options from that editor – https://i.imgur.com/p8EqE1b.png also there is an option to disable the mobile theme from a page/post – https://i.imgur.com/d3kTBRf.png this option appears in Gutenberg editor.

Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Thank you!

Hi Calin,

Thank you for taking the time to reply, I think you may have found the solution, unfortunately even though I tried to make the update other pressing responsibilities kept me away from following through on your recommendation, I know I will have / make time for it tomorrow. I wanted to quickly reach and say thank you for looking into this. I will reply tomorrow to let you know how it went. Thank you.

Joey

Hi,

I have just updated to a newer version of newsmag, from an old one (v3). I used to edit the file loop-single-5.php in order to customize the post style “5”. That file is nowhere to be found in the new theme files. I would have liked to edit it using a child theme.

What is the appropriate way to modify a post style nowadays?

Thanks,

I get a “Forbidden You don’t have permission to access this resource.” error when saving one particular page. Other pages seem to be fine.

There is a workaround that may inform as to why I get the error:

If I delete the entire text (from text view) from the Mobile Editor and update the page it saves as normal. Then I can come back in and copy and paste the code (from text view) from the regular editor to the Mobile Editor and update and it saves as normal.

Hello,

I’m experiencing issues with the “Text with Title” and “Column Text” widgets for the TagDiv Visual Editor…

When I click the “EDIT CONTENT” button, a window pops up with an endless loop looking like it’s trying to load, but it never loads.

I replied to another post in this forum yesterday (https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-edit-text-2/), and there was a possible solution to the issue given by someone on your team, but it didn’t fix the problem for me.

So far, I have:
– Updated to the latest version of the theme
– Disabled all plugins
– Cleared all cache and cookies
– Added the <IfModule mod_substitute.c>SubstituteMaxLineLength 10M</IfModule> code to my htaccess file

None of these solutions fixed the issue for me.

Do you have any other recommendations? Or maybe can I give someone on your team WP Admin access to my site and maybe they can look into the issue for me?

This problem only started happening recently, so I’m not really sure what is causing the problem.

Please get back to me and let me know what I should do.

Thanks!

ok and the limits for subscribers??? it does not exist anymore ? Was it removed during an update? because before we had the possibility of limiting the number of views on “protected” articles.

dlicoppe

You talk about an author to publish on the site, but here we’re talking about a reader??? Before the update, we were talking about reading limits in terms of the number of articles for free users, now are you talking about authors? I don’t understand. Subscribers to our site according to the subscription were limited to a number of readings of protected content defined by the admins, now how does it work? I can not understand.

To understand: the limits are linked to articles that subscribers can publish or the limit only to premium articles that subscribers can read?

Hello!

I think there is a glitch from Composer because I’ve tested it with the latest update of the theme, and I couldn’t see the issue.
Clear all the cache and check the results.

Thank you!

Hi, any update on the update?

Hello,

This fatal error indicates a problem with PHP memory allocation. The error suggests that the system is trying to allocate an amount of memory that is beyond what is allowable or possible, resulting in an “integer overflow”.

Here are some possible solutions:

1. Increase the memory allocated to PHP: You can try increasing the amount of memory allocated to PHP. This can be done by changing the memory_limit value in the php.ini file. To do this, locate the php.ini file on your system (in the case of XAMPP, it’s typically located in xampp\php\php.ini) and search for memory_limit. Increase this value (for example, to ‘256M’ or ‘512M’), save the file, and restart the Apache server through the XAMPP control panel.
2. Update PHP to 8.0 or 8.1: This issue can also be caused by using an older version of PHP. Try updating to the latest version of PHP through the XAMPP control panel.

Thank you!
