Hello,
Indeed, for the moment there is no option to change the icon for the subscriptions account page. I added on our list and it will be done in the coming updates.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

Please click on the button to check for updates.
My recommendation is that before updating the theme to make a full backup for the database and current website, disbale the extra plugins during the update process, after that update the theme manually – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ (after the theme update, make sure that the needed plugins are installed, like tagDiv Composer, maybe tagDiv Standard Pack and tagDiv Cloud Library).
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/

Thank you!

Hello,

I recommend updating the theme to the latest version, 12.6 to be updated and to don’t have malware.
If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from Theme Forest account and download it.
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.

Hi

I installed the 12.6 update, and it causes crashes when I click on seemingly random homepage posts. I deleted the tagdiv composer plugin and was about to click on the problematic homepage post(s), but when I installed it again via the Theme Panel, the problem returned. This is an urgent request

Hi Support,

Not so long ago, I was in contact with one of your staff via email based on a question on this forum about an update from Newspaper version 9 to version 12, I unfortunately lost that contact, .

The update I performed unfortunately did not succeed and am now still stuck with the old version 9.

I want Newspaper Support to perform the update.

Questions.

Where can I find the link to make the application?

How much will it cost if I have you do the update and how do I give you access to my FTP? In other words, how does that procedure work?

Thanks,

Nicky

I am an happy customer of the first hours!

After some years I decided to open again a website ( http://www.acquaplast.it) created with Newspaper.
Unfortunately I updated Newspaper and the other plugins so I lost some basic centering.
As you can see hereHead banner too high and not centered
The same banner on a IOS mobile device is perfectly centered.

Can you hep me to remove my first rusty layer.
Thanks in advance

Hi, the latest update (12.6) isn’t showing as available in my WordPress backend.

Been a long time since I’ve had to do it this way. What would be the best (and safest) way to install through my Themeforest download?

Thanks

I disabled all non-TagDiv plugins & updated again as suggested. Same problem 🙁

I viewed the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ page sources and saved them as text files. I then compared the two text files using and on-line text compare tool. They were identical.

Maybe something in the *.css is causing the problem?

TIA

We ended having to do a complete site restore from a back-up.

This was a very messy update!

Hi igormiranda93, if I correctly understand you’ll need to display the excerpt inside the article not only in blocks. Unfortunately, the theme do not have an option for this, but I thing it can be done a custom shortcode, but this can be done only at custom work and it will work even after theme updates, what I can do is to see what template you are using and edit it to display the excerpt, but if the changes can not be set in a child theme (not all files can be set in child theme), then this will need to be done after each theme update.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hello,

Normally, after an update, blocks shouldn’t disappear or have different colors applied. Please proceed with the update using only the TagDiv plugins, without having any extra plugins activated.

Thank you!

I updated by PHP to 8.1.23 at siteground, so I’m all set, than update to 12.6 version of your theme with no issues.
my question above was in reference to future updates of tag div theme.

Colin
let me rephrase that – How do we know, as users of the Tag Div Newspaper theme, that the version update must be supported by a certain PHP version – in this case 8.0 or higher, and, as it appears many were caught off guard? Do you announce that users must have a PHP version of “blank”?
thanks again

Hello,
The php version is provide by host. If needs you can contact the host to update the php version.
If you have access to cPanel you can try this guide: How to Update Your PHP Version in WordPress (the RIGHT Way)
For users that have Newspaper 7.4 or 8 and the problem persist, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide temporary wp-admin access and cPanel or FTP (it is possible to be a different problem). We’ll check and try to fix it as soon as possible.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

You are probably uploading the whole theme package. You have to upload only the theme zip file, not the whole package which contains other items

Hi viscott, if the php version can not be update for the moment then what we can recommend is to revert to Newspaper v12.5.1 until the update to a version php version will be possible.
Thank you!

Colin
How do you update the PHP version to 8 or 8.1? Is this done within the Tag Div theme panel somewhere? Thanks
Kevin

I have the same issue since I’ve updated Newspaper this morning…

I’m using PHP version 8.1.23 and WordPress 6.3.1

Picture at https://i.imgur.com/shnmka7.jpg above green line shows front page before update. Below green line shows it after update.

Issues:

1. Menu missing six entries
2. Trending now missing
3. The whole block of three article below Trending now missing
4. Background colour changed from #fff1e0 to ##920b3c

To clear problems I’ve reverted to Newspaper 12.5.1 (which works perfectly.)

Any thoughts?
