Updated my site and it reverted back to the old version when I first bought the Newspaper theme please help! Even when I try to restore the site it gives me the same old version

I just ran updates for both the theme and the required tagdiv plugins and that fixed it!

The first step of debugging is to test only whit tagDiv plugins after that test, if the problem persist, make sure that you are using the last theme version and all theme plugins are update.
If the problem is still not solved, make a full theme and database update and send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:

Si you update the theme from version 4 to 10, this will be as you’ll have a new theme now.
Most of the time the problem that you describe is a plugin conflict, most probable between tagDiv Cloud Library and WP Bakery. We indicate to use only one of theme with our theme.
If there is still a problem, please provide some more details and a link where I can inspect the situation

two updates and still not fixed
I’ve been using Newsmag for years now, but suddenly all of my featured images have disappeared. No changes were made to the website or theme when this happened. I’ve since updated Newsmag to the latest version and still no featured images. I’ve deactivated all plugins to test and that didn’t fix. Latest version of WordPress as of this writing. The images are on the server. They can be seen if I insert them into a post or page, but not if they are featured images.
Hi peterll, sorry, unfortunately for Newsmag theme was not it release the theme update, there will be an update, but we do not know exactly the date, sorry!
As an alternative until the theme update, please use woocommerce v4.6.2

The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:

Hi iamtmo, I’m glad that you mange to restore your website.
First thing that you need to do before any theme update is a full backup to website and database and only after that update the theme.
Now if you or your host do not using security plugins, then using our guide from here https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/ should do the update with two clicks, one for theme update and one for plugins update (if you do not update the theme plugins and enable theme you’ll have only shortcodes on your website), now if you are using security plugins, it will be best if you can disable theme during the theme update and enable theme after that.
If there is still a problem, please let me know!
I’ve run bulk rights fix for files and folders:
find . -type f ! -perm 644 -exec chmod 644 {} \;
find . -type d ! -perm 755 -exec chmod 755 {} \;
it helped me with permissions update problem

Unfortunately for flex elements the excerpt option was no longer set in theme panel, sorry! This option can be get only manually for each flex element in part.
If you want to change the excerpt for all flex blocks, you can do it only from theme files wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php -> https://i.imgur.com/Bi5TKc1.png unfortunately those changes will be lost when you’ll update the theme.

new: Sticky row option in tagDiv Composer; is referring to this option -> https://i.imgur.com/4SnkM5O.jpg this option will make a row to be sticky in top or bottom of page.
new: Video pop-up for Single Image and Inline Single Image shortcode; is referring to this option -> https://i.imgur.com/il76jnw.jpg for set a popup video and ads for Single Image and Inline Single Image.

Hi jojo99, I do not quite understand, the theme plugins were disable? and after you enable theme, the theme settings are rested?
Is possible that this situation to be after a theme update?
In most cases when this problem appear is when the host is set to auto update the theme and and the theme plugins remains un updated, but after the theme plugins are updated there should no longer be problems and the theme settings should still the same. When the theme settings are not the same in most cases is a plugin can create this problem during the theme update.
If is possible, please provide some more details about how this happens!

Dear, I have exactly the same issue. It was working with error few weeks ago and now I can’t access Cloud library or Newspaper – Theme panel at all.
If I remove the plugin all works fine.
I updated wordpress and the template to the last version. I deleted and reinstalled Cloud templates plugin. Finally, I put the required PHP configuration:
php.ini
max_input_vars = 5000
max_execution_time = 300
post_max_size = 50M
upload_max_filesize = 50M
Now all spots on System status are green but the critical error is still ON :((((
Please let us know if you find the solution.
