I just tried to update the website with the latest version and it took the website down again.
I’m not using a child theme with Newspaper and so far, I have not added any custom CSS code to my site. My question is this: if I do add code via Theme Panel > Custom Code > Custom CSS, will this code survive a future theme update? Anything else I should know about not using a child theme?

WHAT IS THE GENERIC SCRIPT THAT WAS IN THAT BOX.

We are using the Newspaper Theme Panel for non-Google Ads advertising spots and whenever a change is made (e.g. removing or changing an image link within the HTML), and when we click ‘Save Settings’, it shows the loading animation, but never updates the site with the changes. It (the ‘saving’ animation) has run for hours without updating anything. We are running the latest version of the WP theme.

Our theme made a request for updates the covid data once at 3 hours (using timezone UTC GMT+0), the dates are get from here https://github.com/CSSEGISandData/COVID-19/tree/master/csse_covid_19_data and these are update frequency once per day.

HAs you can see, i ve got a problem with “' ;” in stead of “‘” this problem is because the share interpreter is interpret the ‘ from website name as an html code, this problem is on our list ti investigate, the update will not fix this problem.

That indeed is a bug with displaying the active plugin. Once pressed the plugin will be active even if you see otherwise.

Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully

and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
@ludyma for some users is possible to not appear the theme update in the theme if they change some demos (this was a bug and it is fixed now), for the moment you’ll need to make the update via FTP, this is the best way from the classic updates. All the settings made in theme panel and using tagDiv Composer are stored in database, therefore these will not be lost, only the changes made in them files will be lost
@kevinperry in most cases it is a plugin conflict, you need to check all the plugins, and if after this it sill a problem, we’ll investigate and try to fix it.

Please notice that we do not recommend to make changes in theme files, because these will be lost after you’ll make a theme update.
Also all these elements are appearing only if these are set inside of article.
If you still want to make these changes in post style/template, then you’ll need to edit the post style you are using, for example if you are using the post style 2 you’ll need to edit this file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/single/loop-single-2.php -> https://i.imgur.com/IrcINbf.png if you are using the default post style you’ll need to edit this file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/loop-single.php also will be better to set these files in a child theme to not lose theme after a theme update.

There is a known bug meaning that if you activate amp plugin the plugin will look like it is inactive. This is just a display bug that will be fixed in the next update. You can press once on your AMP plugin and then test your website. You will see that AMP is running: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/

After I updated the theme to version 10.3.2 in my website two strange things have appeared:
– on the home page in the news box all the articles appear, not just those in the news category as it is set in the page configuration (Here the screenshot: https://whigdevelop.it/screenshot.png )
– in all the articles any inserted media became clickable with the link to the image. We would like the author to choose whether or not to insert the link, but also when you publish an article without any link on the images they become clickable after publication.

after updating the Newsmag theme to v 4.9.3 in order to get the YT playlist to work i have encountered an issue that i do not seem to be able to resolve.
Specifically after having acatived all the plugins The site is the same a with ver 4.9.1 as i had but the footer shows a section of Archives, Meta and Categories this happen for whatever Style I choose. Here an image: https://imgur.com/MMvNagS. How can i solve this? Is there a setting somewhere that has been triggered during the update?
