Every single images goes to very small after the update.

Thanks. How long do I have before I have to leave using my child theme? What if I don’t update from V 9.6.1? I want to move over the new theme, but I have a lot of things to fix if I disable the current child theme.

When I try adding a text element to my page with tagDiv Composer, I first create a row and then add a “Column text” element into that row, which works fine.
But when I then want to change the actual text inside of that text element, I click “Edit content” button, and a popup appears which loads infinitely.
Effectively, I cannot use the text editor :/

Notes:
– I tried both in Chrome and Firefox – same issue.
– The error in Dev Tools console says “ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined”
– I am using Newsmag 4.9 with both tagDiv Composer and WPBakery Page Builder plugins active (updated them all to the latest version that comes bundled with the theme update via Envato market)
– I am testing on a localhost on Windows
I had to put my website into maintenance mode because I do not have a backup to roll back to a previous version and the theme is completely unusable right now everything is messed up see image below. All I did was update to the latest Newspaper version, never expected these issues. Now critical plugins disabled themselves mostly TD composer and will not enable itself or update. I get the above error anytime I try to activate the plugin. What happened?? How can I fix this?
I am using a child version of the theme.

Add me to the list, my website is completely messed up since the update. Does anyone know how to roll it back to the previous version? I foolishly didn’t backup the site before updating it.

What happened??
Since updating the theme, every page displays the websites address as the title and not the page title. This has happened since updating both main and child themes today.

We’re still finding issues with WP Bakery after the new update. The Parallax doesn’t work under Row Settings, no image will display at all. Under the Design Options tab in Row Settings, choosing cover for a background image doesn’t work. The image will display, but it will not cover the entire row area. Certain columns settings don’t work, such as 7/12. I’ll post more issues as I find them. I can also give you access to my testing website for troubleshooting if you’d like. Would it be possible to add an option that turns off the Tag builder for those of us who use WP Bakery so there aren’t compatibility issues?

My website uses multiple contributors. Since the update, they do not have the ability to see the “Post Settings” content in order to create a Smart List. I am using User Role Editor but not sure if there is a setting there I have to check off that controls that.
Any help would be appreciated.
Since the last update, when I copy a link to Facebook, it uses the name of the site as the page title. I thought it might be my browser, but I tried it in several of them and still had the same issue.
I have re-activated the tagDiv composer as was mentioned in the sticky post, but this did not help.
On a side note, is there a way to get Newspaper 9 to show the excerpt only as the tagline on Facebook? It currently shows the first part of the article and any links underneath (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

Did the update this morning. Now my mobile homepage is showing on desktop, and photos aren’t rendering on home page.
Add us to the list. Plugins did not automatically update. Attempting to manually update made things worse. Attempting a backup now. Hopefully, this gets fixed soon.

While it shows up, part of the PHP code is using a plugin that’s called Twitch Conditional. That plugin hides that video from showing up if we’re not live. If we are, then it shows up.
So what you showed me in https://www.screencast.com/t/K3cZ33YJ0cE0 should not even show up. Either it’s there when I’m live or not when I’m offline.
This worked fine up until the update.

Since the last update the browser tab title only shows the url, i can see the code of head and metadata with the inspector but is “deactivated”. Also when the theme was updated, the tag div plugins where not updated so they atomatically got deactivated, so i had to update them manually to fix all the mess.
Pls help. 🙁

Sorry, I didn’t realise there was a new theme update. I followed the update guidelines and reinstalled – everything seems to have gone back to normal.

Custom Templates not working pls fix it… We updated all… We cant add new template… Or Use old template… We cant even change to normal templates…
I now have everything set up and an identical setting as for the files sent to me. The layout is reasonable again and all other functions are given, except for the picture gallery and the standard Post Template (Picture) I defined myself. This is no longer displayed correctly, but one that I did not specify at all. When I switch back to the Main Theme, this is recognized correctly. Slowly I despair here, before the update everything worked wonderfully, now I have the feeling that everything is out of joint. At the picture gallery I also linked to the media file, as I did at all other times. The error can be excluded. Switching to the Main Theme has no effect here, it doesn’t work there either.
What else could I try?

Your first link points me to a document about creating my own plugin, is that right? We are not currently using any custom plugin or code. Am I understanding correctly that we may need to write some custom code to upgrade to the latest theme?
