Ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme, the latest version of the WordPress, ensure that your menu bar has been correctly set up, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results. Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at your block images. If these will does not appear it should be a problem with your opacity. Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.

The theme has implemented some sliders like Ios Slider or Big Grid Slide as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/yIN76Dvf but please notice that elements with slides you the posts. You should use such a plugin with this functionality if you want another effect.
