I know that exists a lot of useful plugins besides on our list of tested plugins which are not tested with our product, sorry! Notice that’s not easy to release a plugin to be tested with the theme because to do this, practically, we should adjust the entire theme and functionalities of it to be adjusted to work as expected with the plugin and most of the time this can be assumed to do more custom work, sorry! You can provide your website URL so I can inspect your menu but we cannot say for sure if we can provide a solution in this case, sorry!

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add the ad exactly below each post title, sorry! If you will check our Ads section from Theme panel, you will that that there exists an option for Article Top Ad, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/23GRaEbO Also, if is not what you want and if you want to have another result, notice that you should insert your ad custom code through core files to bring as you wish. Please keep in mind that what you want to do is a BIG update and the theme will be broken because it is totally another theme, sorry!

In order to achieve the best results after you will install the latest update you have to follow some rigorous steps like this -> you have to delete both of your themes, child theme, and main theme. All your customizations from your Newspaper 4 theme will do not work because all the files from this were changed in Newspaper 8.1 and as the main theme and also you lose all changes.

The Newspaper 8.1 is a whole new theme so an update from 4 to 8.1 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).

Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.

The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom CSS will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them. Bottom line is that newspaper 8.1 is a whole new theme built from scratch.

Unfortunately, you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.

Please notice that the Featured category is just a default category automatically created by WordPress when you can add your featured elements. After this, if you want to display only this elements, you can sort the theme’s blocks to display only the elements from this category. It’s not a sophisticated category…it’s just a simple one with this name -> ‘Featured’.

I have checked your website and I saw that you are using an old theme version and also, use such untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. First of all, you should update the theme to the latest theme’s version, remove all of the untested plugins and use only the items which come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins.
