Hi,
Please check this topic for a better understanding of a demo recipe post
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/edit-post-in-recipe-theme/
You can use the same system if you wish, but also maybe you could consider more advanced and easy to use recipe plugins.
Thanks
Hi,
When there are no new posts, the last published posts will be displayed.
The grid cannot be made to disappear until a new post is published. Only by manually editing the page with the composer and removing the grid it will not show anymore.
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed, that setting was never recommended to be used with the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Maybe in the future we will make some more tests and add this as theme compatible. I cannot provide a time estimate however, for the moment there are no plans to begin testing. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hi,
I don’t quite know what flag you are referring to in the comments or newsletter element. The theme does not collect any user data and is GDPR compliant. If you could specify some more details about what theme setting or function you are referring to it would be helpful.
Thanks
Hi,
That would be the same situation form this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/bug-pinterest-share-icon-overridden-by-pinterest-embed-code-in-sidebar/
The script you are loading will affect the sharing button as well. There would be nothing to do in this case. Maybe you can find a different implementation for the pin button.
Thanks
Hi,
I don’t quite understand exactly what you want to do. On pages you can display any of the elements available in the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Blocks can have limits for the number of post displayed, you can display 5 (value set by default) if that is what you want. The latest sorting is also selected by default.
Thanks
Hi,
That error is most likely caused by insufficient memory, not the actual theme update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/
Check the theme system status panel, if needed contact your hosting and ask them to increase the WP memory and other paragraphs as mentioned in the guide (or higher WP memory if possible)
Thanks
Hi,
I can’t seem to locate this ad you are referring to, in the posts I checked. Maybe you could provide the link to the post where it displays.
However the theme will only display ads entered in the theme panel ad sections. So you could check those locations. Maybe a default demo ad remained in the article ad spots, or specific post template spots

Thanks
Hi,
No need to post the same thing in multiple topics. One will be sufficient. Grids do not display excerpts or subtitles, they display the post title only. Please see how all the grids look here
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Only through a theme module modification you would be able to do something like that
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-write-different-post-titles-on-homepage-or-categories/
So for big grid you will have to do it like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PiDd75TrRFg
– https://www.screencast.com/t/14wNpKH6
This is the code you have to enter in the module file
– https://pastebin.com/SmZ5TgkD
Thanks
You must have had the WPBakery page builder active as well, if none of the composers are active, only shortcodes will be displayed. The theme blocks and grids will be displayed by either tagDiv composer and WPBakery page builder.
This problem you are having is most unusual, the tagDiv composer is faster than the WPBakery page builder, so if this is not a hosting limitation then the results should be accordingly. Can you check what processes are consuming all these resources?
If you can, please install make a copy of the website on a sub-domain and install the latest theme version there. Check if the same thing happens. Use the duplicator plugin for example.
Hi,
That was added by WordPress in update 4.9.6 based on the GDPR privacy terms and regulation regulation, please check here
– https://wordpress.org/news/
I don’t think there is a way to disable the new privacy options. Maybe you can find some online through code modifications if this is required for you.
Thanks
Hi,
The counter was fixed in version 8.7.4 and plugin version 4.4. Please check the theme changelog
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qAq3eS47P
So if you use these versions, you will see that the counter only requires an ID now, other information will not be necessary. Simply enter the ID
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qBYaUVe3M
Hi,
There is no other data required anymore, only the ID. Please check the theme change log before making an update
– https://www.screencast.com/t/qAq3eS47P
Now you only need to enter the ID. If it’s not working for you, try testing with a different ID, try coca-cola for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/DrbHj0AWfthb
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Zr9N3a6KVf
Then use your own again. Also clear the cache. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
That seems to be an unusual design for the team member element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/3S8K8pWE
You could have used the row split in 4 columns to achieve a similar result, easier also
– https://www.screencast.com/t/oWBinmCrjcnT
Basically what is causing that is the width I believe you set here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Ams7x87eUigg
The result of that is that the team member element will occupy 22% of the available space on desktop and mobile.
Without the width on desktop – https://www.screencast.com/t/anoJQddAhAr
On mobile – https://www.screencast.com/t/24qmoNORYZH
Maybe you can redesign the layout, to avoid this result.
Thanks
Hi,
I believe the best thing to do in this case would be to remove all the modifications made to this post template and use it as it was created. It is not meant to display this way, all the design is useless as it can be seen.
I can give you a solution to patch this situation, but surely that will cause problems in another post.
As mentioned before the post template creation and templates will be modified in a pending theme update. There will be many more templates and options to design your post templates after the update.
Thanks
Hi,
You mean the WordPress visual editor? – https://www.screencast.com/t/L5j2tJ4E
If that turns black it would be the first time I here of something like this.
You should start by deactivating all your plugins, leave only theme plugins active. If you made modifications to WordPress files, remove them. Test in a different browser as well. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
That seems to be a block 11 set to display in ten page. Blocks do not have numbered pagination, they only have these forms of pagination
– https://www.screencast.com/t/P5wcaNse
If you want a latest articles with numbered pagination, use the latest articles page template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QQCczcNh
Thanks
Hi,
Where exactly does the error appear, I don’t see it at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PId8KyXGRkd6
If there is such a problem on other pages or posts of the website, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can take look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
So by having the theme and only theme plugins active, the error begins to appear. While before there was no problem running the website. Basically the theme requirements are these
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
The theme and theme plugins would function correctly in those circumstances.
I found these guides you can follow to try and debug this problem, there are more
– https://websitesetup.org/error-establishing-a-database-connection/
– https://www.wpkube.com/how-to-fix-error-establishing-database-connection-in-wordpress/
– https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-debug-the-wordpress-error-establishing-database-connection
Let us know what you find.
Hi,
By updating the theme files will be replaced, so if you made any modifications directly to theme files they will be lost. Note that theme panel settings, custom code entered in the theme panel, posts and pages, these will not be lost since they are kept in the database of the website.
As it is always recommended please make a backup before updating, this is the update guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
The tagDiv composer and social counter should be automatically updated as soon as you update the theme, the rest of the theme plugins will have to be updated manually.
Thanks
Hi,
That seems to be the Newsletter shortcode. Delete the newsletter plugin from your plugins section, then install it from the theme plugins panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xfOGzQN6
Then the newsletter should work properly.
Thanks
Hi,
I believe you are referring top the ajax filter displayed on blocks, which you configured to display categories. By default all the categories are shown in the filter, if you want specific categories to show there, use the ID filter
– https://www.screencast.com/t/GgfMdklK
You can enter category IDs there and only those will be shown in the filter
– https://www.screencast.com/t/pKwKEo7AcGMt
Please correct me if I misunderstand something.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check the theme system status panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
In some cases the 500 errors were caused by insufficient WP memory, try increasing the value if needed. You can increase it more then in the guide if possible. Then install the theme again by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
Update the theme plugins as well. Let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
It is a requirement now that themes should be GDPR compliant. There were changes to WordPress in 4.9.6 and based on those we made some modifications to the theme so now it will not collect any user data.
Other plugins or implementations you may have on your website may be collecting data, you will have to analyze your website carefully. But the base theme with theme plugins respect GDPR specifications and law which will apply starting from today, the 25th of May.
Thanks
