The discussion here was about the social counter, mainly the Facebook counter not working. This issue was fixed in the 8.7.4 theme update and social counter plugin 4.4 so there would be no more known problems with the counter.
Now the configuration of Facebook will require just the ID, nothing else
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ahjfI9eKkrl
So if you use the latest version of the theme and theme plugins, there would be no problem with a valid configuration. Try changing the ID to a different one, then back to yours. See if this works.
Enable them one at a time, while checking if the problem reappears. This way you can identify the one responsible.
Once you know which plugin it is, you should search if possible for a similar plugin as a replacement, if this plugin is important for the website.
Hi,
The theme is designed to work with self published content, posts should be created and published by authors and then displayed in the blocks/grids etc. That would be the intended functionality. So displaying content through RSS will be a problem.
You could try other plugins in that case, make further tests. Maybe you can find a solution.
Thanks
Hi,
There is no list unfortunately, these elements are not intended to be used like this. These are page elements that should be placed on pages with the page builder. The shortcodes can be seen for example, if you edit a page that contains them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gaAWHFWG
In coming updates, there will be more functionality for the tagDiv composer. This will affect how post pages, category pages etc can be created.
Thanks
We made a few tests on some available iOS and also Android phones, for us the post background image loads no matter how many times we tried
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2rjUUsohgqI
– https://www.screencast.com/t/FhB5njSqzAIA
The post page does not have any errors that could be causing this problem as well. This template would be somewhat complex with the post header parallax effect, but that should not affect the loading of the featured image background on all devices.
Hi,
1. Do you use any caching or CDN? If possible try without any of these as a quick test. How the website loads could be affected by such services. You can check the live theme demo, see how it loads
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
2. From what I can see you use stretched rows with blocks. The images may look blurry, the same thumbnails will be used, as in a non-stretched row.
You could use the flex block which allow you to choose a thumbnails size, this would be more suited for full width. Or use Full big grids
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
3. I inspected the website, for me this issue is not happening
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QNu7izkp
That would be the header menu section, but it should not have a height of 1068px
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jiHw3rU2q
4. The latest theme version is 8.7.4, the theme and WordPress should always be kept to date if possible.
If you use WPBakery page builder for your website, remember to deactivate the tagDiv composer after you update. When both these page builders are active there could be problems with some elements.
Thanks
Hi,
Those would be the number one cause of issues with the composer, the requirements
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Additionally try deactivating all plugins as a quick test, leave only theme plugins active. Check if this has any effect.
In some cases the solutions from these topics worked for blank pages and other composer problems, you could give them a try if possible
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/gray-page-tagdiv/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/javascript-error-td-composer-wont-load/
Le us know the results of these suggestions.
Hi,
Seems the count is not quite accurate for Facebook (500 vs 540 fans). The plugin should synchronize every three hours.
This process could be affected by caching. You could try clearing the cache, go into the WP Super Cache settings and clear it, or press the admin bar delete cache button
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fQsQm7qcUDN
Let us know the results.
Thanks
Then search and try more online solutions, only through code or plugins you can do what you want. The theme does not have such a feature unfortunately.
Hi,
It may affect post loops, such as the latest articles loop, or the category page loops. May be other problems. Making posts sticky will not be taken into account by blocks or elements that display posts. Please try and use the available block filtering and sorting options.
Thanks
Indeed, this header style together with a sticky menu logo may not produce the best results. I will add this on our list and our team will take a look to see what can be done about it. Sorry for this inconvenience.
You could either remove the logo when sticky and keep using the header style, or try another one.
Hi,
Please try to avoid using blocks in such row layouts, the results may not be the best. Blocks should be used only in these row layouts
– https://www.screencast.com/t/IHeHtDFuXZ
This will ensure that they will always display properly
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-5/
The other row layouts are meant to be used with multipurpose elements.
However you could try the flex block, this block is more flexible and could be placed in a 1/4 + 3/4

Hi,
Unfortunately the theme is designed to work with self published content, posts should be created and published by authors and then displayed in the blocks/grids etc. That would be the intended functionality.
The theme or theme blocks do not have any RSS features. We did not make any tests with such plugins, so I could not say what code modifications it will require to display this content with theme elements. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Maybe some other users who tried something similar could share their suggestions or experiences.
Thank you!
Hi,
If you use the latest theme version (8.7.4) as well as the latest social counter plugin version (4.4), then there should be no problem.
Simply be sure to configure Facebook with a valid ID, no other account information required
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hNQkApNVR
If you have caching try clearing it. If nothing works, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check these sections in the theme panel, remove or replace any image found there
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Cgt5ARQkm
Then there should be no more mixed content issues.
Thanks
Hi,
So you have several sidebars created, each with widgets in them. From what I understand these sidebars with widgets display in the website, but they appear empty in the backend. Could be the same issue from this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/i-cant-edit-custom-sidebar/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
The category tag should display, unless maybe the option is disabled
– https://www.screencast.com/t/0a6nL7hg3
Subtitles for posts will display only in the post page. You can enter subtitles for each post while editing/creating it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/vHEg6PvJ
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry for the misunderstanding. The first link you provided seems to be an attachment page from what I can see, the category page would be this one
– http://cygni.danoftheworld.org/category/vietnam/
So when you set a background image for the category page in the theme panel, this breaks the page.
Does this happen for all the category pages? Some examples of what happens would be helpful. Also does this happen if you disable all your non-theme plugins and then setting the background? Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
At the moment you cannot add more page templates, there are some predefined ones
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bpspcmLYgZ
So you want to create a page that should have pictures, text and blocks in it. That is not difficult to do. The tagDiv composer contains such elements, so you can build a page like that with no problem.
Beginning from the top, as a post title use the column title element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/NF8lOSeZ1HIo
For images there are also elements. Blocks can be placed with no problem.
Or you could use a simple column text for the text and images
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xTC3xPJA
You can also save the row or the elements you configure, so when needed you can place them on any page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5vC09Ops94
– https://www.screencast.com/t/MxyAgMeT
Thanks
There were no similar reports with the inline ads. We would have investigated if more users claimed the same problem. All theme ad spots were tested with default Adsense ads. The inline ad should display properly, either floated left /right or full width.
No problem, glad to provide you with a solution. Please have a nice day!
Hi,
Seems there should be a header ad displayed there, but for some reason it is not displaying. It is the theme demo header ad, check in the theme panel header ad section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Fdwn89jeAO
Remove the code from there and check the results. There should be no more space there.
Thanks
Hi,
That is the more articles section, it can be disabled in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/more-articles-box/
Thanks
That post template featured a parallax effect, it will add some opacity, please check the demo post template 7
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-lenovo-details-new-computers-that-could-be-heading-our-way-in-2015/
Try scrolling down slowly from the top of the post, while observing the post title fading.
This effect could be removed if this is required, enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS code
.single_template_7 .td-parallax-header {
opacity: 1!important;
}
