Hi,

You can find out more about how the Speedbooster plugin works, and more speed optimization tips in this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Please note that this plugin automatically deactivates itself if it detects plugins that are not part of a specified list. This list is mentioned in the guide as well.
There is a possibility to remove that check, see this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
However that does not mean that it will work with all plugins, but you could try it an check the results.

Thanks

Hi,

A child theme purpose is to customize the theme safely, without losing the modifications when the theme is updated. You can include the files that you want to modify in the child theme, and create the same structure or path leading to the file as the main theme.
Files included by you in the child theme will have priority over the files from the main theme. If you copied and modified a post template file in the child theme, the this file will be used.
The tutorial mentioned all the files that can be overridden with a child theme, at the moment.

Hi,

There is no option to change the scroll to top speed. That would require you to modify the theme javascript file, or maybe create you own custom code.

Hi,

Then something is not functioning as it should. This is how the post page looks at the moment on your website
http://prntscr.com/g3rxtv
It is not supposed to look like that. There is something wrong with the container, or other elements of the page. Please check if you have any custom code added to the theme files, or child theme active. Deactivate all plugins except Visual composer and other plugins included with the theme, and clear the cache. Then the problem should be fixed.
Most likely this is caused by a plugin, this way you can see if that is the case.

Hi,

Matched content ads were not really tested with the theme. There are solutions posted on the forum that you could try, if you would like to try and place them on the post pages as well. You could try and use a shortcode to insert them in the post template files for example
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/ads-shortcode/
It would maybe be easier to use a plugin for this however.

Hi,

If you mean the solutions and implementation from this topic
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-responsive-ads-with-google-dfp/
That might as well work or not, there are mixed results from users.
Those classes you mention that are used to display different ads based on device, are working properly
https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
Maybe you could make some tests with the AdRotate plugin as well, the result might be more positive.

Hi,

Try updating the theme by FTP as mentioned by Chris
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Check the update recommendations as well from this tutorial
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thanks

Hi,

From what I can see at the moment there is nothing displayed on mobile in the mobile menu, no socials, or menu even
https://www.screencast.com/t/WsJI0OrWsSx
This could be caused by a plugin, or maybe custom code. You can try as a test to deactivate all plugins except the ones that are provided with the theme, and clear any installed cache. Check any custom code used in the theme panel, or modifications made to the theme files directly.
Try to remember what were the last modifications or installed plugins before this problem was noticed. If deactivating a plugin fixes it, then that plugin might not be compatible with the theme, or it is not configured properly.

Thanks

Hi,

First please deactivate all plugins except the ones provided with the theme, an clear any caching installed. If you are using a child theme, switch to the main theme. Check any custom code you might have entered in the theme panel, or added to the theme files.
Then check the homepage and see if it displays properly. Try editing the homepage with the tagDiv composer and check if everything works properly.
You could try and deactivate the tagDiv composer as well, and delete it. Then upload it again and check the results.
The surest way to update the theme is by FTP, as a last resort you could reinstall the theme. Maybe something went wrong during the update process
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please let us know how it goes.

Hi,

We will try to help you, but you will have to be more specific. Please provide more details about what exactly is the error, so we can understand better.
The tagDiv composer was introduced in Newspaper 8 and it is activated by default, when installing the theme or updating it

Hi,

That looks like a post slider. There are slide elements that you could use
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ios-slider/
Or even the Revolution slider like this
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_politics/
These are all the blocks available at the moment
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
I cannot think of an exact element like the one you mention, maybe you can use one of the sliders mentioned above.

Hi,

I have inspected your website and the mobile version seems to work properly
http://prntscr.com/g3qm3z
You could try deactivating and deleting the mobile plugin and installing it again from the theme package. Also check any modification you might have made to the theme, or mobile theme files.
Usually plugins or code customization, and additions to the theme can cause the mobile theme to stop functioning properly or even not display at all.

Hi,

You can place any number of Instagram elements on pages, using the tagDiv composer
https://forum.tagdiv.com/instagram-widget/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/instagram-widget/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Each can have their own style and Instagram Id entered. There is also a footer Instagram available that you can use.

Hi,

There can be only one sidebar on posts, category pages etc. That sidebar can be sticky or not. On created pages you can place ad-boxes where you want and make sticky sidebars like in this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
I believe the Google rules in this matter are very strict indeed

Hi,

It could be a bug with the testing tool, please see this topic on google forum for more related information

Hi,

I have carefully tested it both on mobile and emulator but this is not happening for me
https://www.screencast.com/t/KJOtCJKld1W
https://www.screencast.com/t/3hpWE2d3rcGZ
The top menu does not interfere with the main menu in my tests. Try testing with different sticky menu settings and see if it is still happening

Hi,

If you updated from theme version 8 there should be no problems. If you have an older version, please note that the new tagDiv composer is activated by default when you update the theme. Try deactivating this plugin after updating and check the results. In some cases having both editors active creates problems

Hi,

You can try a code like this to make the header ad centered and not stretched
https://www.screencast.com/t/a3wFZphn2

.td-header-style-5 .td-header-sp-recs {
width: 728px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
float: none;
}

There is only one article bottom ad available at the moment
https://forum.tagdiv.com/article-ads/
You will have to modify the post template files, and insert the ads manually. Or install a plugin like Adrotate that would have more options regarding ad placement. This plugin is seems to work with the theme based on positive user feedback.

Hi,

The author name or date will be displayed in the Facebook share, try disabling them in the theme panel if you do not want them to display
https://www.screencast.com/t/FMPlmjxJ
You can also set custom titles, description or image for each post in the post edit screen Yoast options
