Heh. My company started doing SEO in 1995. We pioneered many of the things most people today take as common sense, before most people here were even online or perhaps had a PC; before Google launched, in fact.
However, your point was a good one, in a certain respect: people need to learn to use WordPress and what things do, RTFM on WordPress.org (codex), etc. to better understand what’s going on.
So, perhaps TD needs to mention couple of scenarios for “newsbies” on the tutorial, on instances such as my two examples for those who don’t yet know any better, simply from lack of experience.
In your case, providing helpful examples on how to improve the situation vs simply complaining ‘the suck’ does not help anybody.
Perhaps create a better tutorial and post it? That would be way more useful here. 🙂

AS tagdiv composer can not be used for posts (ONLY pages)
I can not simply switch off visual composer
AND start using tagdiv composer
because I would ruin the look & feel of all of my posts.
Or do I oversee something and tagdiv composer is also useable for posts?

“Slide widget” (Slide element) has a nice navigation button but it is not the one what most newspaper site prefer.
I checked the settings of Slide settings (style) there is not much customizing. Would you please tell me if there is any other slide widget on NewsPaper theme like examples above (With tumbnail or numbers)

This is a great thread. Just so I’m clear on the future of the theme and Tagdiv’s vision for us.
I had a page created in VC. After updating to version 8, I just created a new page and recreated the page using TDC. I then went into the editor and copied the code and went back into the origional page. I then deleted the code created from VC and pasted in the TDC code and in many cases it was much less code. (assuming why this is a faster solution??)
From here I resaved the page so not to break any Google juice.
Am I correct in thinking this might be the optimal solution for all of us moving forward?
At some point, is it my understanding that you want us to completely delete the VC plugin and have all of our pages on the TDC system?

My category pages on SauceMonsters.com has gaps after every 16 posts. I have a display of three blocks per row. The row with the 16th article post has two blank spots next to it and then the next row is back to three posts. How can I fix this so there are no gaps? Have one problem that I don’t know how to handle…how can I set some kind of sticky featured post on any grid? For example, on my home page, I am using Gig grid full 8 and one category to display posts. How can I stick a very important post from that category on the big image so that it does not move when I publish new posts in the same category? It is set so that I show latest posts. I want it to show that sticky post as long as I want, regardless of new post from the same category.

Sorry for this thing but notice that plugin is not tested with the theme and also, we cannot provide support for untested plugins. You should use another plugin which will work as expected with the theme, sorry! Also, if you want to customize it, you should do it yourself through the code because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!
As a hint, you should edit the theme core files regarding on Ads, where you should add some conditions regarding on your category, as an example (if is_category(categroy_ID)) to show what type of logo you want. Then check if everything works as intended.
You can make some page building elements to be full width, by stretching the row they are placed in. For example the Full big grids

Also you can make the header and footer full width in the theme panel. But to change the theme width overall is not recommended. The theme elements depend on the fixed theme container width and making modifications to it could cause broken layouts and other unexpected results.

It could be done by making some modification to the modules that the Big grid 9 for example is using. You can identify the module used using the browser inspector

Now you need to go and edit the respective modules in the theme files. The big module (mx19) already has the author name and date displayed and in it’s structure

You could edit the Header style template that you are using. Then the image you want will be displayed everywhere, while only adding it once. Here you can find the header style files in the theme – https://www.screencast.com/t/XTSfTZlh0mIo

I really like the Big Grids that show one large thumbnail for the newest post, and then smaller thumbnails for the last couple…but is there a way to have the author name show on the smaller thumbnails? Right now it shows on the big one, but not on the others. Like Big Grid Full 9 for example. Thanks!

I have a huge problem with the latest release of newspaper.
I always used the responsive Option as you can see here, to have one site individually looking for desktop and mobile. But with 8.0 there is no seperation between the contents. Everything is now visible on both platforms (desktop & mobile).
How can I solve this problem, or get back to my previous version?
