- NewspaperThe Newspaper Mobile Theme: Introduction
Hi,
Does the AMP plugin work just by itself if you try it like that, without the mobile theme? test with /amp in that case. If that doesn’t work as well, then there must be something in the website that prevents AMP from working.
The first thing to check would be other plugins, deactivate them all except theme plugins and AMP, then check again.
We could take a look as well, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, cPanel or FTP may be needed as well. We will try to identify the problem. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
The posts, pages, templates and theme panel won’t be affected by a theme update. But as always a backup should be made prior to updating the theme, just to be safe.
The actual date should translate automatically, when the language of the post is changed. So for example while a post in English date looks like this – http://prntscr.com/nxbsqf
Using the switcher to see the French version should also translate the date
– http://prntscr.com/nxbsvl
Hello !
1. Unfortunately yes, the General image still faces some problems. You will have to manually edit the images you will have to go into each posts: https://www.screencast.com/t/IfglxPJM
2. In order to add more Custom ad in theme panel you need to the file td_config.php from includes and td_block_ad_box.php from includes -> shortcodes
All you need to do is to go in td_config.php and add as many Custom ad you need -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4dNUZBpPYMr6 in this example will add 6 and 7. After that go in td_block_ad_box.php: https://www.screencast.com/t/y5qiaLPc3gb
Results: https://www.screencast.com/t/VAUJIqls
3. Unfortunately we cannot say for sure that the counter will face no issues anymore. We have made the implementation on the actual Facebook system. If Facebook decides to modify the system then we will have to re-adapt to it so it could take a short time to fix it again.
Setting the infinite load to 5, 10, 20, or 50 (%) doesn’t work. It doesn’t start pre-loading until at the end of the page when you start to see a blue square moving around, loading the next articles (which takes another 2-4 seconds).
It doesn’t matter which post template we use (that support it), it will not load until we’re at the end of the article.
Sample: https://royalcoastreview.com/2019/06/factory-activity-shrinks-across-asia-recession-fears-mount/
From what I can see the error is generated because of a script entered in the sub-footer section in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/nxbdps
So this is what is causing the AMP error – http://prntscr.com/nxbdvy try removing it and test again with the validator – https://validator.ampproject.org/
Hi,
If you want to hide some elements in WPBakery you’ll need to add an excreta class on that element -> https://www.screencast.com/t/x3UE5HZ0VzB2 for example -> https://www.screencast.com/t/vyWBI5xHi and set the code in theme panel> Custom code> Custom css
.hide{
display : none;
}
Thank you!
Hi i was getting error in webmaster tools while enable AMP plugins,
1. The tag ‘noscript enclosure for boilerplate’ appears more than once in the document.
2. Only amp-boilerplate and amp-custom ‘style’ tags are allowed, and only in the document head.
3. Referenced AMP URL is not an AMP (it’s my home page)
How to solve it?
I don’t well known with AMP setup. Please Provide me step by step guide.
These steps reproduce the issue for us.

Create a staging copy of the live site.
Disable all plugins.
Install and activate the twenty nineteen default theme from WordPress.
Create a new page, title it whatever you want.
On that page, create four links: a. http://example.com b. http://www.example.com c. https://example.com d. https://www.example.com
Save the page.
View the page – all links point to https://stagingX.example.com
Edit the page – all links will have had “stagingX.” prepended to them, showing that they have been rewritten.
it’s because of the theme
I want to get my money back and buy another theme
I don’t want to work on your theme & all the time and write here
I need to use theme but no work on theme
Get my money back, please

Thank you, I tried all those options but did not achieve the look I wanted, which is to stretch the video across the entire screen. An example can be seen in this screenshot from the Newspaper theme “Crypto Demo” https://www.screencast.com/t/2ttH7NGbhf. Please let me know if this is possible?
Can someone tell me how to get an old version of newspaper theme?
I just updated the theme and all plugins and it has completely broken my site, the page titles in then tab section are displaying as urls. I can’t use visual composer, only tagdiv composer which means re-doing over 200 pages. Also, if I disable tagdiv composer I can’t change any theme options.
When will this mess be sorted? or can you supply me with an old version.
Thanks
Hey,
I don’t think GA is recording mobile traffic at all. Organic mobile traffic is not showing up since we turned off amp and there’s no mobile traffic in “realtime” report either (I tried searching for something on mobile myself).
Any ideas? Should the AMP container in GTM be removed?
Hi, My suggestion is to introduce as an option the same functionality for AMP as the AMPforWP plugin offers. There you will find the option “Convert AMP to WP theme”. This merges AMP and the theme (also works with the Newspaper theme, so the function only needs to be copied). This is a great solution to create a full AMP site without the annoying /?amp URL appendices and the duplicate Posts.
I downgraded theme to 9.7.2, 9.6 versions and amp to 1.1.2, 1.1.1, 1.1.0 and all the combinations are having the same issue. I think there is definitely some compatibility issues with the theme and AMP plugin as older theme version with its own AMP plugin used to work fine.
Hello. I am also having this same issue. My Cloud Templates and Post pages (I’ve made a few sample posts to check layout) both save perfectly fine. When I try and create a new Page using the TagDiv composer I can add content, save and then exit. I can see my content in the source code, but if I click back in to edit, everything disappears and I’m starting with a blank page again. I’ve tried creating three separate pages and all result in the same thing.
If you look at http://staging.biztimes.com/acts-housing-campaign-celebration/ or http://staging.biztimes.com/visit-milwaukee-annual-meeting-2019/ ] you will see the TagDiv gallery is not scaling the images up or resizing them to the container. I know the images are not that large, but they are getting displayed at 385×280 when the actual image size is 770×560
Any suggestions on fixing this?
Something got majorly jacked with the AMP updates that went in on recent plugin updates.
I’m now showing over 2K errors … “a mandatory AMP HTML tag is missing from this document.”
Can someone please review livemusicblog.com? Help?!

Hi, I am using the mobile theme of the Newsmag theme. Also using the Official AMP for WP plugin.
Does anyone know how to deactivate the author from my blogposts? It is non visible on the desktop and the mobile theme but don’t know where to deactivate it for the AMP version.
Thanks.
Hi,
All you need to do is to disable the AMP plugin, after that all your post will not longer be AMP -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cGJL7MzjR
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately the AMP version do not have a sidebar, sorry!
You can check our documentation for How to Make an AMP Ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
Do you maybe use a child theme? If you do, try making a small modification in it, in the functions file – http://prntscr.com/nwzyeb
The child theme included in the 9.7.3 package contains this modification.
I should note that there are however some issues that are caused by having a child theme active at the moment. Like for example post templates not applying properly when set to posts. As soon as they are fixed, a new theme update will be released. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You could maybe restore the backup if you have made one, for the time being.
Thanks
Hi,
That is the latest articles section, it will always appear at the bottom of the page when the required page template is used – https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
It’s settings are here in the composer – http://prntscr.com/nwzs8g
Or here in the backend – http://prntscr.com/nwzsn3
If you don’t want the latest articles section on the page, select a different page template, for example the default one.
Thanks
Hi,
I have checked your website and I saw that you are using some Analitycs which are not correctly configured and that’s why you bring bad results. https://www.screencast.com/t/MvSkhGQmfU3
Please follow the next steps and useful guide for a properly set up of these!
Try adding it in the AMP analytics section – http://prntscr.com/njvluz

Can’t find any precise information or documentation about it, here are some more topics

Hi,
Check the image size and ty to optimize your images if you want to bring good theme results. As an example, if your image is too big and also if the internet connection is too poor, this problem might appear. Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also so I can investigate it closer.
Thank you!
