Hi,

Please make sure that you make the settings like in our documentation:
Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
How to Make an AMP ready Website with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/

Please make sure that you activate the amp from mobile theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/6m5bxthx8ec and you check the box from general Amp -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WEyXhNzY

For this error https://prnt.sc/mupdgl here is the fix.
You’ll need to go in wp-content/plugins/td-mobile-plugin/td-mobile-plugin.php
and at the bottom of file set this code
$theme_options = get_option( 'td_011' );

https://prnt.sc/mv165e

The amp that appear on desktop version too can be a cache problem, we recommend to use with our theme WP Super Cache this is a tested plugin with our theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/GEt3U6GPMKq
Also if you do not like the new tagDiv AMP you can deactivate it and install other amp plugin.

Hi,

Unfortunately for the moment ( until will be relies the update ) those are the only option, to have the amp without mobile theme but will have that simple layout or using with mobile theme, and the amp will look like mobile theme.

Also if you do not like this AMP layout, you can deactivate it and install other amp plugin.

Thank you for your understanding!

Ok, So since ive resumed the conversion, here is a sample:
https://www.techvise.pk/best-urgent-delivery-services-in-pakistan/

The last one ‘Prongo’ follows H3, Image, then text. As you can see only 1 list item can be read in there and its the one without any picture.

Hi,
How can I remove the “fade-in” animation on the backgrounds?
For example, in tagdiv Composer, if I put a “row” and change the background color to black, when i load the page there is a fade-in animation to the black. I want the black to be loaded instantly.
There is no option for that in the composer, so i think i have to change the code, but i can’t find where that command is.
Thanks!

So between the head tags and probably before the closing body tag. Try to add those codes in the AMP plugin here – http://prntscr.com/mybm9fhttp://prntscr.com/mybnbw

Or maybe in the mobile theme here – http://prntscr.com/mybo2shttp://prntscr.com/mybo9j

Try both these suggestions and check if the ads appear.

Hi

I activated the mobile theme plugin (with AMP). I get error issues by Google Search Console. When I investigate the website via https://validator.ampproject.org, I get the following issues:

The parent tag of tag ‘style amp-custom’ is ‘noscript’, but it can only be ‘head’. DISALLOWED_HTML

The tag ‘noscript enclosure for boilerplate’ appears more than once in the document. MANDATORY_AMP_TAG_MISSING_OR_INCORRECT

I found out that there is a problem with the js_composer (WP Bakery builder). When I turn off this plugin, everything goes fine, but there are design issues than. I tried also the Tagdiv Composer, but this plugin didn’t work. It isn’t loading.

Website: http://www.ikwilgoedkoopreizen.be

Can I fix this plugin issue with additional code?

Thank you!

Kind regards,

Jens

Excessive errors are reported by the AMP plugin. There is the option to “Reject” those elements. Is it safe to do so?, or… Is there some code in theme files (or settings) we need to adjust. Can send you a screenshot of the errors.

ALL of the errors begin with illegal css at rule @-moz-document and ultimately are referencing td-composer, Newspaper theme style or td cloud library.

Thanks. That solve my problems for a while, but I hope you feel need to make a change and get us ability to turn on/off AMP for different part of our site (post, pages, custom post) without losing mobile theme.

BTW… are you planning to add an option to implement Google Tag Manager code for AMP instead of (or as an alternative) pure Google Analytics code? GTM is getting more popular and is really usfull

Calin, I tried the option of using the Mobile theme for amp, but that option breaks the mobile theming and I see the same unformatted theme when site is accessed from the mobile. That’s the reason I had to turn off that option. This is not just my case. I saw few other posts in this forum related to mobile theme not showing pretty page.

Hi,

Despite the template used for the category pages on desktop, the mobile theme will use it’s own template. That is the case for author pages, tag pages, etc. The mobile theme has a template for all of them which will be used.

Only pages may be blank if you do not enter content in the mobile editor for each of them
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The exception is the mobile homepage, this will display a top grid with featured posts and a latest articles section, so it will not be empty.

1. AMP has become widely used, our old dedicated AMP plugin did the job for a while. A decision has been made to discontinue this plugin and instead use the official up to date AMP plugin, which can be integrated with the mobile theme. In the coming update more options will be added.

2/3. You can design the category pages as you want, use the predefined category templates or cloud templates. These will be used on desktop, on mobile when the mobile theme is active, the mobile template will apply regardless. This theme demo has the mobile theme active, check a category page on mobile to see how it will look
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_local_news/category/tech/gadgets/
These mobile templates are AMP valid as well, since 9.6.

4. The mobile theme is created for mobile, if you do not use the mobile theme the responsive version will take place. Meaning the website will adapt for mobile or the device used. Be careful when you design templates with the composer, always check how it will look on mobile.
For example while a flex block with 3 modules per row looks alright on desktop
http://prntscr.com/myaglu on mobile this will not be so good – http://prntscr.com/myagw0
So in this case set the block to display 1 module per row – http://prntscr.com/myah9s
Most settings are per viewport, check and configure them differently for each when needed.

5. Some examples of what exactly is happening would be very helpful. The only instance when pages would be blank is if we are referring to actual pages. With the mobile theme active each page will require 2 versions, one for desktop built in any way possible with the theme and one for mobile built with the mobile editor – http://prntscr.com/myajbc

Let me know.
Thanks

Now it seems valid – http://prntscr.com/my9p3o Also ads appear for me. When the AMP, mobile theme and setting in theme panel are active, the whole website will be AMP on mobile. You can check for verification with this tool
https://validator.ampproject.org/
Enter URLs there and check.

I should mention that this verification challenge keeps appearing when browsing and checking the website
http://prntscr.com/my9q8i I had to click images for a few minutes before being allowed to finally access the website

Maybe it happens just for me however, for some reason.

It looks like the theme stylesheet is not loading for some reason. The whole website looks broken on all devices. Before anything else this should be fixed, then I will help you with the other issues.

Please deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, leave only the theme plugins including the mobile theme and AMP active. If you made any modifications to the theme files or added code in them remove them temporarily. Also check all code entered in the theme panel. If you use a child theme switch to the main theme. Then check if this has any effect.

In case the website is still broken, you could reinstall the theme. Either by WordPress or by FTP. Let me know the results.

Hi,

Thank you for oyur kind words and also, I feel sorry if you are not happy with the latest version of our theme (v9.6).
The new feature of this update is the AMP+Mobile Theme packet which works well if there will be together enabled. Regarding on Ads, if you do not want to use the Mobile Theme, and just using the AMP plugin and if you want to display more Ads, you need to make some custom modification through the code in order to display them. Unfortunately, the theme does not have any support for this, if the Mobile Theme is not active, sorry! As a hint, in order to achieve as you wish, you should check the following useful tutorial which guides you in the right direction. -> https://isabelcastillo.com/google-adsense-wordpress-amp -> https://isabelcastillo.com/auto-ads-amp-wordpress Unfortunately, the Mobile Theme does not have any such an option that allows you to load your desired font, but only if you will add them such via custom CSS code.
Please notice that we are working on a new update, where we add another functionality regarding on AMP which you have possibly to use the only AMP without a mobile theme, remains the desktop layout. We try doing our best for our future updates.

Thanks for oyur understanding!
Best regards!

Hi there,

I just added Adsense Auto Ads to our page http://www.eldiadesabadell.cat

But, when you enter in a post, an ad is showing in the author box, between author picture and description. See an example: https://eldiadesabadell.cat/index.php/2019/03/14/los-enfermos-en-la-uci-del-tauli-tendran-gafas-de-realidad-virtual-gracias-a-una-enfermera-premiada-por-ello/

How can we delete this ad, or move to another place?

thanks a lot

Hi,

You still can chose on each post/page you want to show the amp version, but you’ll not longer have the layout of mobile theme, you’ll have the layout of WordPress amp
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/ez8rU6psjg3
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/bMxjs2SZu
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/rN9co1dijg
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/E4btuug0BT

Also soon will be relist a new update that will offer some more control over amp and mobile possibilities.

Thank you!

This is true. The pages come back with a “Valid with warning” message from Google, so it’s probably not an issue.

I did try and they showed up as blank spots except for the Google ads, but I can certainly try again. A couple of them require header and footer codes to be added, so do I use the header-amp.php and footer-amp.php in themes/Newspaper/mobile?

First of all I had the same problems as someone here in the forum. Pages were almost blank.

You described the new mobile theme in such good words and wrote that this is the best way to show amp or mobile pages, so I installed mobile plugin and figured out that no category pages are now shown. They were all blank, because I used the category designer together with the td-Composer.

In general the td-composer is very cool to design a category page or a start home page but as I understood now if you use this built in feature of the theme the website is responsive but not perfectibility amp friendly.

Also Gutenberg an td-composer are are little bit ion the same direction.

So my questions are:

1.The future is amp? Seems to be.

2. How should I create categories. Using NO td-composer and just Gutenberg or just Classic?

3.How are YOU (rest of the internet) creating category pages? You don’t care about amp?

4. I really love the mobile plugin, but is there no chance to reach this goal with one designer and responsive view? It seems I have to choose between mobile plugin, responsive, Gutenberg, classic editor and td-composer.

5. Any more comments about this theme are welcome

For me it’s a huge thing because 80 % !!! of my user are Smartphone users. They see mobile view. I have many categories, specials ….

So after installing mobile plugin nobody saw my articles in mobile view.

Thanks for commenting

Any ideas are welcome

Hi,

So you are using the AMP and mobile theme combination? – https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
The layout should not be broken if you follow the steps mentioned in the guide.

Note that when the mobile theme is active, pages will display only the content you enter in the mobile editor, as mentioned in the guide
https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/

So each page requires two versions, one for desktop and one for mobile. The homepage on mobile is predefined, there will be a top grid with three featured posts, then the content entered in the mobile editor, then a latest articles section. If no content is entered in the mobile editor for a page, it will be empty when the plugin is active.

Regarding the mobile menu issue, we are aware of it. Seems to affect only specific pages, this is investigated and we will fix it.

let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hello

I would like homepage to become AMP for mobile users. I updated theme from 8.1 to 9.6 version , after this, I installed two official AMP plugins, but those plugins and tagDiv Mobile Theme don’t work well. Sometime page is opened on AMP as for desktop users as well as for mobile users .How can I fix it?

Also, when I try to check URL ,for example, https://domain.ge/air-arabia/amp, it shows the following error : http://prntscr.com/my61rc .

Also, for example, contact page doesn’t work on AMP ,when I open it, it’s just empty.

In my opinion you made a wrong assumption. Pages are not only for “Contact us” or “About us”. They are something more. Some of us using it for building subject centres instead of using category pages (category pages can not be designed). At the moment you force us to make a hard choice: using AMP (wich is great solution for post and fatal for pages) or stay with responsive site. Excluding some pages from AMP might be a great solution for many of us.

Can you tell me how can I on AMP page show category post or even particular post? Is it possible at the moment?
