I don’t know if the problem it is whit W3 Total Cache plugin.
I know there are other threads on here relating to this, (I’ve read them) but I have tried blocking the category tags on the big grid in the theme panel and they wont budge.
I’ve cleared the cache, cleared the browser cache etc several times but I can’t get them to go
Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks
Thanks! It does work. Now to purge some caches…
Hi,
As Chris stated the theme search gets the live result using ajax. As the request is made to the server a slow response from your server could also cause this. You can test our demo and see how the theme’s live ajax search results are pulled there: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/
I’ve tested your site using google’s page speed insights testing tool and as you can also notice it returns a server response time improvement recommendation: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fnaturguide.dk%2F&tab=desktop
I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again.
You could also follow their documentation for the server response time and their recommendations: https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/Server
Also consider using a cache plugin and to improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html We also use it on our demo.
Thanks
Hi,
Please empty cache if you use a cache plugin and also try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active. If you still have issues with it please provide your site URL so we can inspect this.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please make sure you also have the post views active and also test this without using caches as the last days 7 post count works based on post views so if you use cache this might not work properly.
Also test this by editing one of your posts and check if you have the 7 days custom filed active, like this: http://screencast.com/t/HUBUJQI6uLI ..then refresh the post a few times and check if it increments.
If it’s working then test the 7 days post sorting again as it should work fine and keep in mind that the 7 days post sorting feature pulls the most viewed posts from last 7 days (all time, not only those created in the last 7 days).
Thanks
Hi,
I’m not sure what you mean please provide more details and a link to the issue. Also what did you edited in Theme Panel and what error you get?
Please also try this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active, clear cache and check if you still have issues with it.
Thanks!

Hi,
Please also try this with all plugins disabled, also empty all caches/purge files (if you use CDN) then enable all of the one by one to see which one is causing issues.
We haven’t made any tests with the theme using this plugin so I can’t give you an accurate answer on this.
If the wp-rocket plugins turns out to cause this try going trough it’s settings as @Carel also stated above some settings cause issues.
Please also note that we recommend using W3 Total Cache use only Page Cache. (no database cache, no object cache, no javascript minify) and also please be sure that WordPress installation have enough resources to make the caches.
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks
Thanks Alin!
I made several changes to Top Menu font and saved the changes.
However, when I reaload the page, nothing has changed. I have done that several times, including using Ctrl-F5. I wonder if that could still be a cache issue.
Hi,
I have checked your site and your slider is working fine: http://screencast.com/t/jtaKxPFS – http://screencast.com/t/wYPz8MkT9XAi
I think that you solve the issue, please also empty your cache.
Thanks
Hello. Firstly, thanks for this amazing theme. I have two problem.

Hi,
If you still have issues with this, you can try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN.
Please let me know if you still have issues related to the theme.
Thanks!
I have the same problem, but do not want to delete wp-rocket (not sure that is the problem) some solution?

Hi,
Please make sure that your empty all caches and also purge files if you use cdn host then test this again.

Hi,
If you use the default post template this should appear bellow your content: http://screencast.com/t/hrahnkz49
Result: http://screencast.com/t/P52O8Naqq
This should work also in your case, so please clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN.
Thanks!
Hi,
I also tested this and works fine on my side, please make sure that you added link url properly for author: http://screencast.com/t/uTOAijFqjFpS For some reasons twitter appears like this on author page: http://screencast.com/t/LcdIVpR7Cajn
I couldn’t recreate this using your twitter url: http://screencast.com/t/EQzsqKmFYDp
Please try this also without any plugins, leave just Visual Composer active, also clear cache and see if you still have issues with this.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked your site and I did not found any ad bellow the main menu: http://screencast.com/t/w8ePtTXaGuq
Did you solve the issue? If still see that ad please clear cache.
Thanks!
Hi,
Do you use WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin? if you don’t install it, clear the cache and check again.
If you already use it please provide the url so i can take a look.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi,
First please make sure you also test this without any plugins active and leave just Visual Composer plugin active and also empty cache then check again.
If you still have this issue please make sure you download and update your theme to the latest version (4.6.2). Also if you are using child theme, please switch to the main theme and empty all caches and test again. If this solves the problem make sure you update the child theme to the latest version. Please let me know!
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure you also test this without any plugins active and leave just Visual Composer plugin active and also empty cache and purge your files if you use CDN then check again. Also css code is apply in cascade so the default css is loaded and then the custom one.
Thanks!
hi chris , thxs a lots
Its posible help to solve this
Specify a cache validator
What does this mean?
The following resources are missing a cache validator. Resources that do not specify a cache validator cannot be refreshed efficiently. Specify a Last-Modified or ETag header to enable cache validation for the following resources:
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Damion%7CArial&ver=4.1.1
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans%3A300%2C400%2C600%2C700&subset=latin%2Ccyrillic-ext%2Cgreek-ext%2Cgreek%2Cvietnamese%2Clatin-ext%2Ccyrillic&ver=4.1.1

/wp-content/plugins/counterize/counterize.js.php

Leverage browser caching
What does this mean?
The following cacheable resources have a short freshness lifetime. Specify an expiration at least one week in the future for the following resources:
plugins/counterize/counterize.js.php (1 hour)
and this
Add Expires headers
What does this mean?
There are 7 static components without a far-future expiration date.

thxs so much
Hi FiftyFifty,
When you updated the theme did you do it via FTP? If you did, it wont work properly.
As Chris suggested, you need to do the update as per his guide, even if you didn’t do it by FTP it’s worth going through it again just to be sure.
Add a new theme (any) to act as a temporary
Delete the old theme in wordpress back end
Delete the VC and social counter plugins
Clear all caches including browser
Disable all the other plugins
Reload the theme via wordpress uploader and activate
Upload the plugins manually from the theme download file not from the on screen message in the plugin page
Activate all plugins
Test again
If that doesn’t do it go back to the wp_booster/td_video_support.php file and check very carefully that you got all the http URL’s some are easy to miss. Chris had said don’t do the youtube shortlinks but I’ve done em all and it works still so I’m kinda hoping it hangs together for a minute.
In your post, don’t forget to tick “video” in format and select style 8 from the post templates, I use the full URL from youtube and enter it into the sidebar
If you are adding the video player block to the page you will have to fill in all of the fields and add a video to it for it to show correctly on the page, you don’t add the full URL though just the series of letters and numbers at the end part of the URL
If all of that fails you probably need to go to your hosting provider and ask them to add a php.ini file and switch on allow_url_fopen = on
After a whole day of trying to find out what was wrong I went back to the server people and asked them if the allow_url_fopen was set to on and he came back with this
“I placed some code in your public_html folders .htaccess file to make the php.ini file work”
Real helpful that…..
So it was in fact the server that was the problem but also the theme should shoulder part of the blame as it’s not configured for SSL and that isn’t made apparent when you buy the theme, I’d also like to add that while TagDiv support and Chris who I understand doesn’t work for TagDiv are very helpful none of the solutions to these basic problems are presented in a coherent way.
Searching several thousand questions on a forum isn’t the best bet because some of this stuff needs to really be done in an organised fashion. More documentation is probably needed and to be fair I will probably put something together to add to the forum just for people who are stuck with configuration and SSL issues but I’m no expert so could end up doing more harm than good?
Anyway, all is working so that at least one satisfied customer.
Let me know how you get on
I Just emptied all caches, purged all files, disabled all plugins except vc and tried it again and still got the same results on posts and pages when trying to publish.
I’m getting a little like I now realise this isn’t going to work for the 3 sites I had planned so I might as well request a refund for the 2 sites I was going to use this theme for, I’ll persevere with my unplug.tips site because of the time that’s already gone into it but it’s not just the cost of the theme that bothers me, I’m not on cheap hosting and the costs of having stuff sitting idle is starting to mount and get a little tedious.
I’ll have to try and work out which instance of the theme is linked to each purchase as there are 3 and I don’t know which is which (if this even matters?)
I’m still waiting for an answer from A2 about whether aqpache needs to be restarted to enable the changes to the php.ini file, as soon as I have that info I will send over the login for the site so you can take a look. Who knows I may be blinded by something obvious that you can see and I can’t
Hi,
Please make sure you empty all caches/purge files and try again. If it used to work with the previous version of the theme then something else could cause this.
Please give us access to your admin panel so we can have a look.
Thanks
Hi,
Not sure how this could happen. I’ve also tested this using the latest theme version (4.6.2) but found no issues similar to what you’ve described.
my post configuration: http://screencast.com/t/KVa3sHGkxvB
result: http://screencast.com/t/fBGudxDd
My guess is that this happens because of a plugin you use, it could be due to the
Taxonomy order plugin: http://screencast.com/t/rVadNbIGRsRL
I suggest you try this without any plugins active, lave just the Visual Composer plugin active then make sure you empty caches, purge files if you use cdn host then test this again.
Let me know how it goes and if this still happens after all this consider updating your theme to the latest version if you are not using it already.
Thanks
