If the page was build using WPBakery, then you should have access to edit them, but if those was build with tagDiv Composer or other builder, you can not edit them using WPBakery, we recommend to use with our theme the tagDiv Composer.

It should work, I made a quick test – http://prntscr.com/nzxqpb If the panel saves the setting, then it should apply. Could be caused by caching, try to clear the cache if you use any. Also force refresh the page where you are checking (Ctrl+Shift+R).

Unfortunately, I can not say for each plugin comes this error, just make sure that you clear all cache after you deactivate a plugin, also please check if you do not have some code set in that page that can caused this problem; also there are only a few plugins tested with our theme.

Shouldn’t cause any problems with adsense ads, but I did find some references to possible issues between super cache and the ad inserter plugin you mention

This could happen due to security plugins or security modules on the server. Maybe the hosting provider knows what is causing it.
I would also suggest that you temporarily deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and the cache plugin. Then clear the cache and check if the website is working properly.
