Hello,

Simply disabling the plugins for a brief moment will not do it. You have to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and purge cdn files. Then test again. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you!

Hello,

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

If this does not fix it, then please try to install the theme again via ftp by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/

Thank you!

Hello,

Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Also please check any image optimization or compression as it can also cause bad image quality.
Try to create a testing sub-domain or a localhost and test the image quality there as well.
Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Hello DagensVerklighet,

Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Clear all your caches and check the results. Your untested plugins can interact with the theme core files and create a lot of unknown issues.

Thanks for the message!

Facem si noi diverse teste in functie de cum ne permite timpul dar din pacvate nu avem un departament special pentru asa ceva incat sa testam orice ne iese in cale.

Multumesc.

Hello,

The plugin is not a live count and is affected by the cache. Facebook takes a bit of time before it updates.

Thank you!

Hi Nate, I get double that traffic. and we use redis using w3t it works fine. (our cache structure is object cache = redis, database = memcached and the rest apc. and also varnish. it safe us allot of CPU which in wordpress this is what you need when you get a traffic spike. (we also use php7)

BUT! w3t cache is not supported by the theme. We have no issues actually just the Mobile Theme we are not using because it will cause some problems.

I believe the issue has fixed itself, it may have been an issue with the hosts updating their cache when updating to the new PHP version. Thanks

also note that http/2 is a great solution for https sites as it ends up serving a nice cached “the whole page” as ONE single connect per query.

PHP7 also great solution, once theme fully supports it.

I know w3t is not supported or better say being tested. Did anyone find a walk around or fix? I use w3t because I use redis, memcached and varnish as part of my cache layer and w3t makes my life easier. Anybody has a solution? I think they should start supporting this plugin. I mean its like the top 3 plugins out there 🙂

Hope I can find a solution really want to use the mobile theme

You are using the plugin WP Fastest Cache?

Try to disabled all plugins except visual composer then test the site again.

I have not yet switched to PHP7 … but it’s even better than php 5.6 which was huge huge difference with the opcache support and speed.

I don’t think current version of Newspaper fully PHP7 compatible yet, so that is the quandry there. Supposedly next version will work with pHP7.

our server allows us to ‘choose’ version PER SITE, so makes it easy to test versions and then go back if it doesn’t work.

Hi there,

Thanks for this amazing WordPress theme!

I’ve just bought and installed this through FTP, and I was wondering why I cannot save the theme panel?

I’ve checked the system status and followed up the instructions in https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ (I use .htaccess to configure the PHP.ini and SUHOSIN)

I’ve also clear cached (from plugin and browser), turned off all of my plugins too, but it still can’t save the theme panel.

Demo install works fine though, but when I want to save Theme Panel, the loading icon is just keep circling and nothing happened.

Hopefully your team can help me with this issue 🙂

Thanks!

The other “demos” are working, only with demo “say what” there is any problem (after change logo)

This is the problem:

Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in ….themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_remote_cache.php on line 102

what can i do ?

simchris

Theme does not control caching.

So, you might try:

clear site cache if you have control panel for that

resave permalinks

clear transients using wp-optimize plugin

THEN, resave permalinks again

that’s what I do to “clean house” …

My website cache is not clearing in new theme (newspaper). I did some CSS updates, post content and even new posts are not updating in home page. here is my site: http://mashtips.com

Any suggestion that I can try? This issue started after switching to this new theme? Anything I’m missing in configuration?

Apparently I spoke too early.

I’ve tried suggested customisation on my dev temporary installation, all seemed to be fine as you can see at http://dev.helocheck.com

I’ve exported demo settings and the page’s code/definition, imported everything in my “production” installation and result is this [url=https://postimg.org/image/vhoekh8ov/]https://postimg.org/image/vhoekh8ov/

Not exactly what planned.

It seems settings in the theme/page are not honoured as here’s what I have in the page using the BackEnd editor (matching exactly what I have in the dev domain) https://postimg.org/image/i8ds4blrl/

I have disabled all plugins but the ones coming bundled with the theme, I have flushed all caches and even used different browsers on different computers all to no avail.

Is there anything written to the DB that I should flush? No caching plugin is currently used so not sure what the culprit could be here.

Thanks in advance.
