I also had a fatal error updating the theme. Already tried visual composer and cleared cache, but it didn’t work:

Hi there,
I am using Newspaper on a site which has wp super cache running and all pages seem to cache fine except for the frontpage which is using the instagram widget. If I remove this widget speeds are okay. But once added the frontpage loads extremely slow (can take up to 18 seconds before output is sent to the browser)
Somehow that cache gets invalidated every minute on the frontpage.
Is this a known issue and what can we do about it?
After update my wordress version 4.6 Mobile device support not normal work. I use my site WP Super Cache plugin.

Hi
Current theme’s version available on themeforest is V 7.3 so try to download it and update it again following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Also make sure that you update Visual Composer and social Counter plugins at newer version included in theme’s patch: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ After the update process is completed clear all caches, purge cdn files then try to install a demo again.
Before making any changes in your site make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for letting us know!
Unfortunately the W3TC plugin is not tested with the theme and it is a complex plugin which has many settings that could conflict with the theme. So you will need to check the plugin’s settings and see what couse this issue.
We recommend Wp Super Cache with this configuration – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If you want to uninstall the W3TC plugin please check this tutorial – http://journalxtra.com/wordpress/uninstall-w3-total-cache-proper/ as it is not enough to deactivate and delete it.
Hope this helps!
Hello,
Please try to identify what you changed since you last saw it working properly and revert any changes. You can try to disable all plugins except visual composer clear cache and reset cdn files but even so, whatsapp sometimes is able to grab the image and sometimes not. I ran a quick test in sharing an article from our demo but no image was grabbed so it could be an app issue.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please make sure that also the plugins provided with the theme are updated(Visual Composer, Social Counter..), you can find them in plugins folder from the theme package that you download from themeforest – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
If all of these are updated(theme, plugins) and the issue persist, please disable all your plugins except Visual Composer, clear all the caches and check again.
Let us know how it goes and also provide your site url via email at contact@tagdiv.com so we can take a closer look and paste a link to this topic.
Thanks!
HI
I’ve checked your post and found in its html structure many divs which are not properly added: http://screencast.com/t/Lj7znl0Su6 Check your post in text mode and remove all that divs because they affect page’s structure: http://screencast.com/t/TVPrJ5TEdJy
Also after publishing a new post try to clear all; caches including browser cache then check if the problem is still there.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please disable all your plugins except Visual Composer, clear all the caches and see if the warning is still there. I suspect it comes from a plugin that you use.
Thanks!
HI
@andreabarbieri I’ve checked the indicated post and now it’s displayed fine: http://screencast.com/t/Vfb9KilT
This issue is usually caused by cache or cdn which deliver some wrong files. If the problem is still there try to clear all caches, purge cdn files then test the site again.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have checked your site and saw the random mobile theme issue. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Also if you use other caching plugins than wp super cache please remove them and only use these settings for optimal compatibility: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If you use cloudflare please disable the rocket loader option and use these settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Let us know if you still have trouble with this.
Thanks
Hello,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again. This is most likely a plugin conflict. Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Good morning,
as we are running the mobile theme and checking the functions regulary we have found two issues.
1. The Name of the Author above the posts ist not shown correctly (iPhone 6)
2. Sometimes the page doesn’t load the mobile theme, instead it is loading the the mobile version. Especially after reopening the page on safari (iPhone 6) this is the case.
Could you please review the site? Are there any preferred setting for the wp super cache? As there are in the advanced section several functions and settings for mobile…
We are running 7.3 and updated all plugins to the latest version.
Best,
Armin
Hello,
I have checked your site and you have loads of errors in your browser console: http://screencast.com/t/qwpLVBSdXF These are most of the times caused by conflicting plugins. This is most likely the cause your site is so “heavy” on the load. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test your site again. Also please try to use as less plugins as possible as they are most of the times poorly optimized.
Here is a list of tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme: http://screencast.com/t/YbmrBRFUY
Thank you!
Hi
Please try to uypdate Visual COmposer plugin at V3.1 which in included in theme’s path: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/ clear all caches then test the site again.
Let us lkn ow how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi guys,
We are having some issues with my mobile page – we could customize everything (for the web) as per normal. However, for the mobile view (tagDiv mobile plugin), we were not able to customize anything). Even the logo (which we changed under headers) is not showing. Also the background color didn’t change at all. The only thing that change were the menus.
We also see “enable thumb nails from Theme panel” which was already enabled by default. We tried “regenerating thumbnail” thought the plugin too.
I am not sure what we are doing wrongly here – any thoughts?
Visit http://beep.sg (on the phone for details).
Don’t think this is a cache issue – (we removed cloudflare, super cache and waited a few hours on incognito)

Issue got resolved after disabling ‘W3 Total Cache’ plugin.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I uploaded the latest version and cleared the cache and the widget is visible again. Instagram seems to have lost its count for some reason but everything else is working
Basic WordPress documentation is helpful here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble
For me, I usually try
(presuming you have proper dbase back made prior to wordpress upgrade — like it tells you to do)
a) clearing all cache in browser
b) try login; if fail then via FTP or server file manager …
c) rename plugins folder to xplugins
d) see if I can login
e) if not, delete all themes in theme folder except twenty sixteen
f) login — WP reverts to using default theme with no plugins.
g) once logged in, change theme to twenty-sixteen in appearance to clear prior theme selection
h) log out, rename plugins folder back
i) log back in — resave permalinks
j) clear all caching if used
h) consider using wp-optimize on database
Good luck!
Hi,
The facebook developers change their layout quite often so it;s hard to keep up with their modifications.
The social counter is not a live count. It makes only a few request per day to the server in order to keep server queries to a minimum. It is also affected by cache so it will help clearing all caches after you set it up.
@xelp: If you have the latest version and the counter still does not work, then please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can investigate.
Thank you!
HI
We didn’t tested W3 Total Cache with the theme and as a cache plugin we recommend WP Super Cache which which tested and works fine: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ However you can try to use Jetpack with Total Cache and check how it goes.
Thanks!
Hello Jeff,
Did you by any chance add a few design options on the grid? Please try to remove any custom code you might have on your site that changes any at all width. Restore the theme to it;s default code and test again. You can also test this out without plugins to rule out a plugin conflict. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi
I can’t access the given url as it’s from your dashboard and I don’t have permissions if I am logged out.
I assume that you’re referring at that delay which appears on page’s load until the settings from theme panel are applied. That happens because the custom css generated by the theme is moved by Speed Booster plugin at page’s bottom. To avoid the delay you can try to insert all custom css generated by the theme directly in style.css. That code can be found in page’s source but you have to be very careful with it. Currently you have this custom css: http://pastebin.com/ZmyuCBNU Try to paste it in style.css here: http://screencast.com/t/HxwVJnudgGK clear the caches then test the site again.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and seems that there is a custom css which change the link’s color: http://screencast.com/t/tPzH8YFHypqC It seems that the css is generated by a plugin so try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches then test the site again: http://screencast.com/t/pwFQcuXus
Thanks!
Hello,
This is most likely a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
