Hi,
Please try this custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cKyaIiKFR7
.td-footer-wrapper .footer-email-wrap a:hover{
color: white;
}
.td-footer-wrapper .td-pb-span4 .td-pb-padding-side a, .td-footer-wrapper .td-pb-span4 .entry-title a {
color: white;
}
.td-footer-wrapper .td-pb-span4 .td-pb-padding-side a:hover, .td-footer-wrapper .td-pb-span4 .entry-title a:hover {
color: #e5ad25;
}
Set this code in Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css
Thank you!
Thanks so much for your help, Simoin. You just did the magic.
The title color has been changed and the hover effect has been enabled as well. There is only one more addition I would like you to make. I want to make the titles semi-bold. Please provide a css code for that too.
Thanks
Hi,
With the new mobile plug in 9.6.1, only with mobile display, I have an unusual problem on the mobile menu (also does not work the search and arrow works to get back up).
In the plugin mobile option, if I select:
– Using mobile theme for Mobile: all is ok on mobile view
– Using Mobile + Amp: menu does not work on mobile view, but works on amp view
I tried to eliminate js and css optimizations but nothing changes…
Do you have any ideas for a solution?
Thank you
Hi,
You need to provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, so I can provide a more accurate CSS code. The theme does not have any such an option for this case.
Thank you!
Hello.
I have created a site where I have changed colors, padding etc – on various things.
The problem is that when the site is loaded – the old styling shows up for about 1-2 sec before the custom css overrides. — it’s especially noticeable on the header.
see video —> https://cl.ly/6fcb5fe685e8
This makes the theme useless, as it seems very unprofessional, and I wonder why you haven’t fixed this issue.
Never the less – I need this fixed. I have spent a lot of time on the site.
I have tried going into the style.css file and fixing these issues directly —> I have some experience in html/css, however I am not a developer by far… and I need to upload the file via ftp + find all the areas I need changed directly in there…
This will take me a lot of trial and error (which really shouldn’t be my problem, as most of these color changes are done via the theme panel)
Can you please assist here? I’m thinking for someone who is a developer, and know the theme’s code, it will be a lot faster.
Thank you.
Hi,
Please note that for pages there are no templates, those are build individual with tagDiv Composer, also your css code is doing what a template should do, that css is apply once for all page titles, that means that your website speed will not decrease.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
That would be expected to happen, the design that is created for a heading as it is initially in the theme, it is not applying anymore after changing the it to a paragraph. Now other CSS is applying to all the post titles in all modules.
You could try and add some more CSS to override the current state. From what I can see only the default color needs changing – http://prntscr.com/n3huuf
.td-module-title a {
color: #111111;
}
Enter it in the theme panel custom CSS code section.
Thanks
Hi,
I think that your problem is regarding theme saving, right? Make sure if you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way and also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/system+status/ Also, that code should have to be added in Custom CSS section area from the theme panel.
Thank you!
Hi,
1)If you want to turn off the comment section you need to disable that option for each post page you want from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HkiiNuWmNwj
2)If you need to remove the image from your author box section, you need to use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Cusotm CSS area.
.author-box-wrap img{
display:none;
}
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
Hi,
In this way was design the share buttons that you are using on mobile version, if you want to have border to all margins you need too add a cstom css
.td-social-handler, .td-ps-border.td-ps-padding .td-social-network .td-social-but-icon {
height: 38px;
border-right-width: 1px;
}
Please add the above css in Theme panel>Custom code>Advance > Phones
Thank you for your understanding!
My sidebar use Popular Category widget, and I see the following css
/* inline tdc_css att */
.td_uid_24_5c9ac52b7cd4d_rand{
padding-top:60px !important;
}
How can I change the padding-top value from 60px to 80px? Thanks.
Hi Catalin,
Thanks for getting back to me soon. The code works well, but I just want to implement it on the internal/external links in the body of single posts. I tried to paste the code on the css template via TD composer, but everytime I hit save, changes are not made. Also I disabled the theme accent on the color section of the theme panel.
Please see my post https://thegaysite.net/corazonborrado/
BTW, I intend to make this changes for all future posts, but dunno where to paste the css code in order to be respected by the theme. Or would it be a wordpress problem instead?
Here is the screenshot of my post https://thegaysite.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Greenshot-2019-03-26-15.41.19.png
Thanks
I’ve been using Newspaper for over a year on my website and never had an issue upgrading. When I went from 9.5 (I think) to 9.6.1, the coloring of my main menu and footer disappeared. I have attempted the upgrade 3 different times and get the same result.
This is how it used to look. (Ignore the under construction banner):
Menu: http://prntscr.com/n39w6p
Footer: http://prntscr.com/n39vyv
Widgets: http://prntscr.com/n39wc3
This is how it looks now…
Menu: http://prntscr.com/n39wl4
Footer: http://prntscr.com/n39x3e
No widgets: http://prntscr.com/n39wwi
Another thing that is odd. The top featured post image used to have different dimensions. Now all of the posts on the homepage look the same. See the pretzels top post image:
Now: http://prntscr.com/n39yc0
Before: http://prntscr.com/n39z44
I am using header style 6 and footer style 14.
..The website is http://prntscr.com/n39x3e
There is some custom CSS but this has not changed in months and I have never had an issue with prior upgrades:

Hello,
I’d like to suggest you to add a “content after post” section on your theme. The thing is, many of us offer services on our sites and the only space we have to do so is using the “ad box” at the end of post (which would be fine, at first).
But it becomes a problem when I realized that
1. when I type the font comes in a whole different pattern that I use on my posts, so I’ll need to use css on that somewhere
2. I don’t have an option at the end of every page/post where I can REWRITE over that adbox in case I want to advertise something different (for instance, on every post now there are tour options to amsterdam (which is my main subject, so it’s fine), but when I wrote about Madrid I wish I could choose for that post tour options for madrid instead)
Could you think of working on something for the next updates? Meanwhile, can you offer me any option to go around that? I’ve even found a plugin that looks like exactly what I’m looking for (so you can take a look and understand better what I mean in case I wasn’t clear enough), but the price is just outrageous: https://codecanyon.net/item/content-after-posts-wordpress-plugin/7972736?sso=1
Thank you very much!
Hi Catalin,
I dont think you are understanding my request. There is CSS already in PLace, which is hiding the original Theme Header Ad.
The Ad that is currently visible in that page was added via TD Composer.
I want not to just “Hide” the Top Banner Ad that is get injected by via Theme Panel, I want to “Completely Remove from specific pages”. I tried the code above and it didnt work. I emptied my cache and it would always show up, which is why i ended up applying css to hide it.
I am just wondering if you can help me troubleshoot the code written for header-style-6.php
<?php if (td_util::is_ad_spot_enabled('header')) { ?>
<div class="td-banner-wrap-full td-container-wrap <?php echo td_util::get_option('td_full_header'); ?>">
<div class="td-container-header td-header-row td-header-header">
<div class="td-header-sp-recs">
<?php if ( !is_page('1027') {locate_template('parts/header/ads.php', true);} ?>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Envato Market plugin is the automatic update method that I am currently leaning towards using.
However, I just want to clear a few things up. From the three update methods here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/, Method C, the Envato Market plugin update seems to be the only one in which I will not have to temporarily disable my site.
-Is this correct so far, update method C will not affect the the current running status of my site in any way it will just update the theme files (that is if everything goes right)? nothing on my site will be changed only the theme files will be updated right?
– Things like my custom CSS, transparent header settings, background image, and so on will not be reset?
All I would then need to do after the update is to update the plugin themselves?
Thanks,
Hi,
Please check those topics :
-> https://www.webmasterworld.com/css/4898647.htm
-> https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-align-banner-in-the-center/
If there is still a problem, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!
I have checked the Google amp plugin team regarding this. They have mentioned the below points.
Your theme’s stylesheet (Newspaper-child/style.css, which in turn imports Newspaper/style.css) is still massively too big at over 118 KB (1.2 MB without compression!). Again, the limit for AMP is 50 KB.
That’s why you get a memory size error in the CSS parser part, because that is simply too much for it.
A few suggestions/recommendations:
1. Try to reduce your CSS, either manually or by updating your theme. There are lots of things you can probably remove, for example everything that targets IE 11 and below
2. Reach out to your theme’s developers and ask them to reduce the CSS and perhaps even directly include AMP compatibility.
3. Try to increase your PHP memory by putting define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); into your wp-config.php file
Hi Calin,
No, that’s the title I want to modify.
At the moment the title of pages is modified with a CSS (I’ll paste it below) but if I just changed the pages template then I wouldn’t need to use this CSS and so the speed of the website would be better.
Here is the CSS to transform the page titles like other titles on the website:
.td-page-title{
margin-top: 16px;
text-align: center;
font-size: 42px;
line-height: 48px;
font-weight: 600;
padding: 10px 8%;
letter-spacing: .02em;
}
Thanks
Hi,
Please check our default header template from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/iecaQzMJ3B3R If you want to achieve the exact style from your image, you need to do it yourself through the CSS. The inspector browser tool might be helpful for this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thank you!
Hi,
That would be how it should look when embedding, a max-height is not supported for the embed it seems
– https://www.instagram.com/developer/embedding/
I could give you a CSS code to limit the height of the iframe – http://prntscr.com/n33e7e
You can enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS section
iframe.instagram-media {
max-height: 850px;
}
Thanks
Hello, thanks so much for your reply.
There’s indeed text description in place of each list, as you can see on the text editor: https://prnt.sc/n31q34
Only on this post it’s not working.
I have similar configuration on another post: https://www.seniberpikir.com/theme-wordpress-terbaik-untuk-personal-blogger/ and it works perfectly fine as it should.
When it worked out fine, another problem showed up when the images aligned to the left and converted into small-sized images (their sizes are actually above the content width). So I modified the smart list CSS to make the images 100% width.
After some time, the issue showed up and I’ve removed the CSS modification, cleared every cache there is, and the problem persists.
I’ve also deactivated all my plugins, used another theme and switched back to newspaper, view the result in incognito mode, and nothing’s changed.
Also, I’ve tried using other smartlists, still nothing works.
What could be wrong?
Hi,
1. That depends on what the page contains, maybe other factors if used, like row stretching, backgrounds, CSS styling. Best way to check if there are issues would be to copy the homepage content from the backend, into a test page and edit that with WPBakery. Do what is needed, then update and view the page.
A simple page containing normal theme blocks and grids (no flex or cloud library elements) should work just as well with both builders.
To avoid any possible issues it would be best to use just one page builder at all times, if possible.
2. This I can’t say exactly, I have seen users that use such extensions for WPBakery. In some cases there were some issues, but I don’t remember which add on was it about or what the problem was.
If it is possible, ask them if they have a trial version or if they can provide a refund in case there are problems. Be sure to test while the tagDiv composer is inactive, there could be conflicts.
Thanks
Hi,
If you want to hide some elements using the CSS on the specific pages, you need to use the page ID for that page and then, hide the class you want for your element. Please check the Inspector Browser tool from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thank you!
Hi,
Try to use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
.home .td-pb-row {
position: static!important;
}
Thank you!
