Hello,

I purchased the Newspaper 8 theme and i thought i was able to organize my new newswebsite myself. I work with WordPress for years now, but unfortunately im kind a stuck. To much options for my knowledge. Im super frustrated, because i bought the theme more than a week ago and i thought i was already writing happily, clearly that is not the case.

So im in need for some help here. I think the customizations i want arent that much of a deal though. I dont want big adjustmens. I want a simple and clean layout. I just need someone who is familair with the theme, it shouldnt take to much time.

Hi, I have a problem with block-15. When I added for the first time, it has the classic grey background without post thumb.
However, when I add block-15 to another section, its layout is deferent and has the posts’ thumbs.
I am comfused and I don’t know how to fix that.

PS. I also have a problem with block 9. I added the time stamp of the post before the title. But, if the title is too long, the time goes above it and breaks the layout. Is there a way to set a fixed number of characters for the titles or tell “if there is no more space, cut the title and show … “? Any hint for that?

Hi, I would like to change the default title style site wide for blocks and page titles, to one of the title styles available in the blocks settings. Is there a custom css code for this?

I need some guidance on what is/is not affected by updating. The help documentation and videos are ambiguous, imo good examples of information being provided by people who already know the answers and find it difficult to put themselves in the mindset of people who don’t. My points may seems obvious to tech people, but are not to me, and judging by the number of post-update-panic-posts in the forums, they are not to many other users too.
For me, upgrading to 8.0 went from the quick and easily hour set aside indicated by the video, to a weekend of my life I will never see again. I want to avoid the same again. By example in your docs it says “Once you activate a different theme, delete the Newspaper theme. Don’t worry, your content will not be lost.” The documentation also mentions code. But nowhere does it mention the effect on the hugely important and time consuming settings?

So i would appreciate it if you could clarify which of these headings will be affected by updating (and ideally any steps to be taken post update). I’ve started with the two I think I am clear on …

EFFECT OF UPDATING
Bespoke Code (including, but not necessarily limited to, anything entered into theme panel/custom code and theme panel/mobile theme/custom code): All will be overwritten. Must be copied out and re-applied.
Content (posts and pages): No effect, all will be retained.
Theme Panel Settings (all under header, footer, ads, layout and misc): ??? (if they are affected can the export/import settings tool be used – it states ‘to copy to another server’, and does not specify whether it would work between different theme versions. Is there anything not included in that settings export?
Mobile Theme: ???
Visual and TagDiv Pagebuilder elements used on posts & pages: ???
Demo Theme: ???
Licence key/activation: ???

METHOD OF UPDATING
in the documentation it gives alternative methods of updating, without any indication any are better than others. However i have noticed that in the forum when problems occur it is often stated that people should re-upgrade using the ftp method. does this indicate that the ftp method is more stable/reliable way of updating? I expect many of us will go for what appears the easiest method (wordpress) but if we knew ftp was a better way would jump through the extra hoops to do it that way.

I hope you can see that armed with that information I can see whether the benefits of an upgrade are worth the potential hassle, and also get a better idea of the realistic time it will take.

I have just purchased the Newspaper theme, and Im still trying to familiarize myself to it. I wanted to know where and how I can install the demo templates? I am wanting to use the “Fitness Blog” style.Thanks

I have the problem on the theme I bought from you and I do not understand why.
I bought your news8paper theme, each theme is more beautiful than the other.
More in the installation of several that have there I choose the theme craft ideas, so far so good.
So I went to fecher in his settings. I’m having a hard time putting my logo in the right size on the site.
When I go the header settings, then logo and favicon and I change the image in the logo upload the image is not the size of the original that I put, on the contrary, it gets very small.
The image of the logo I created was the same as the previous one in question of size, but even so it still does not work. After that any image I put, it is the same size, in the very very small case.
A note on the size of the logo I put the heading style 9, 10 and 11, in case I choose 10 and there it says that these header styles will show the logo in the exact dimensions in which you send it. You can choose any image size. And unfortunately that’s not what happens. I’ll send the photo of the demo and the photo of my logo when I put it in the settings, so it’s going to make you notice the difference. I look forward to your response.

I’d like to change the Header Template for the Blocks and with that change the look of the “Custom title for this block”?

If I click on “Header Template”, the dropdown-menu simply shows “Block Header 1 – Default” … but nothing else.

I for example installed the “Clear Voice”-Demo, but would like to add the block headers of “Sportnews”.
