There is post posted in the forum on Oct 21, 2015, today is September 17, 2016 – 11 MONTHS! I had the same issue last week and WASTED 1 week working on trying to solve the problem. The images DO load SOMETIMES for a short time then disappear again.

Oddly, in the test site (www.testsite.inbishkek.com) using the magazine demo, everything works perfectly, after it was hand-copied to its home (www.inbishkek.com) and switched demos to the default demo (client wanted the text boxed) we’ve had nothing but problems with images being displayed on pages and posts. All settings are the same including plugins. Both the test site and home site work without problems on smartphones; Windows, Android (Google) and iOS (iPhone), as well as Windows 8.1 tablets, iPads and Android tablets. So the problem are not PLUGINS. It’s the code stupid!

Documentation about this problem cannot be found in the KNOWN BUGS or theme issues anywhere, just in a post in your forum – and I found this thread by chance! Instead of the bonehead advice from support to disable all plugins, I instead disabled lazy loading, and now the home page of the site seems to be working again on all PC based browsers, but only the FRONT PAGE has been working for the past hour. The problem is intermittent, it comes and goes randomly, so I’m not sure how long this will remain true.

The POSTS, however, still have issues. Only only some images showing up. So what could be the problem? Both sites are in the same domain, but test site is a subdomain – so that’s not the problem. 2 sites, same configuration except for the test site has lazy loading enabled – everything works perfectly. The home site, which was copied later after verification that it worked, and has had lazy loading from the beginning. We’ve disabled lazy loading on the home site and only the home page has no issues. We’ve created a “special page titled http://www.inbishkek.com/newspaper7-problems, please look at the screenshots, at the very least, visit the links before answering this query.

The screenshots are from identical post pages of the two sites. All images display correctly in the test site – the Huge IT slider and style 8 post, lazy loading was NEVER disabled. In the home site, before lazy loading was disabled, no post images, but sitewide sidebar displayed fine. With lazy loading disabled, images appear in the post but NOT the style 8 top image of your POST TEMPLATE and the Huge IT slider. This is happening in Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Vivaldi browsers. In Safari and IE everything works on both site versions. WTF?

If the shit does not work for ALL browsers, at least get rid of the defective feature! Don’t make us waste our time researching for solutions, writing these stupid posts and waiting a couple of days for replies. We have better things to do!

It is troubling that developers continually tout a feature to speed up site loading, yet fail to FIX the problem after 1 year! NO it’s not a plugin conflict, it’s a issue with your CODE!

I think everyone is getting tired of these bullshit cookie cutter answers by lazy coders & developers; “This problem might be a plugin conflict. Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer and then activate lazyload and see if the problem is still there.”

This crap advice/response not only pisses your customers off, but it negatively impacts site development deadlines we have committed to our clients! Will I recommend this theme for a client? Definitely not. If they want it, I’ll do my best to dissuade and steer them in another direction.

I am having an issue with my categories changing from the default from demo. I set up the demo to see how it would look and then change things from there to make sure the framework was right. The problem is the categories that I changed from Style and Celebs etc haven’t updated to the “Stargazing, News, Etc”. I was wondering how I would go about updating these despite changing the category.

i have Newspaper 7.4 installed with Travel Blog demo without content. Everything works fine, except the mobile theme. No Slider and the columns are spelled in englisch. mobile theme installed, and set to standard settings.
On the mobile, if i switch to desktop version, and then back to mobile version, everything looks fine. after viewing some sites, the right thing is gone.
tested mobiles: android mobile with chrome installed. samsung tablet with chrome installed

I’ve tried the stuff here. The gzip thing is schizo. I do a gzip test and it says “working”, but then I do a speed test and it says “needs compression”. Installed the wp cache plugin, etc. Tried most of the stuff here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/, not much improvement. Anything else to try that is unique to this theme? Faster homepages? I’m using the sport demo and even cut down a lot of the content. We’re talking really slow. 8 seconds to load. Thanks!

Hi, I’ve just updated to newspaper 7.4 but my mega menu is still in the old style with the sub menus listed underneath the category pictures and not at the side as in the demo. Any ideas as to how to get the submenu as the demo? website at http://www.localgardener.org

Right before closing footer for all posts is inserted metadata but if you pass the w3c validator throws the error: “Element meta is missing required attribute content”
Seems that the content attribute is required if the meta element has an itemprop attribute

From the old Microdata (W3C Note): “If a meta element has an itemprop attribute, […] the content attribute must be present.”

I need assistance with layout, should i or shouldn’t i be importing demo content? – as this will be lost on updates? As if i edit the ‘demo content’ that is imported it will be gone?
I want my homepage, and the layout to look like the default newspaper demo content, so i then built a new homepage, used the ‘demo template’ for the homepage on the visual composer etc, pagination dropdown, yet again, clicking on ‘reset’ got rid of this.

I have asked on the envatomarket some questions today but it still doesn’t answer my questions.
Can you advise, if i use the demo content, will this be deleted on updates?

Can you also advise, if doing the above with my own ‘homepage’ will my own content be deleted?
I am even more confused today than i was two days ago with the answers i got.

I am now using newsmag to do a new website in Mandarin language and am using one of templates,
then I found that I always show all contents on the block by using the block with content as below

then I checked theme panel->excerpts and found you already have default limit which why other demo post isn’t affected.

I searched many ways and still am trying to solve the problem, then I tried typing some English content, and the excerpts finally act normal like post templates….

However, this website is made for Chinese people, we need to post in Mandarin, is there any solution can solve this?
