Managed to fix the 404 error…but I am still unable to resolve the conflict between the Bakery Page Builder. I still get the 500 Internal Server Error whenever I clicked on “Edit page”. Homepage blocks completely missing. The inner pages do appear but have the following text in the description box:

Hello,
When a post is marked as “Featured” it will display at the top of the homepage. Since it is at the top of the homepage is there a way to not have it display down bottom also? Right now if I post a new blog today and set it as “Featured” will will display as the top image on my site AND as the first blog under the quote on the site.
I am using the construction theme from newspaper and I have a video set up on the homepage which I created and am using through youtube. I noticed that the video does not work on mobile version and only displays the youtube play button. I have researched answers in the forum and apparently this is not fixable.
What are the options to overcome this? Is it possible to have different settings on each version, for example to have a solid image on the mobile version instead without it affecting other versions that play video. If so, please walk me through how to do this in the TD Composer.
Hello, i clicked HOMEPAGE POST element in Tagdiv composer, and i can’t find how to remove it, could you help me please ?
In theme panel > custom css, I have this code posted:
@media screen and (min-width: 426px) {
.advert {background: url(http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/advert-1.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: 100% 100%;
display: block;
width: 100%;
height: 90px;
}
}
@media screen and (min-width: 375px) and (max-width: 425px) {
.advert {background: url(http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/advert-2.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
display: block; background-size: 100% 100%;
width: 100%;
height: 90px;
}
}
@media screen and (min-width: 320px) and (max-width: 374px) {
.advert {background: url(http://example.com/wp-content/uploads/advert-3.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
display: block; background-size: 100% 100%;
width: 100%;
height: 77px;
}
}
Weird thing is, testing it on a 320px iphone, it works for the homepage but not on categories & posts. Same thing for firefox browser on desktop. When I test it with google devtools (adjusting the device sizes) it does show up. What is with the inconsistencies? I don’t have the latest theme update, could that be it? Even some pages on mobile it gives me the wrong image….
Hi there, tagDiv boys and girls !
And first of all, I’d like to say that it’s been two years now since my first use of the Newspaper theme, and everything is working like a charm so far.
I think it’s important to recognize the highly qualitative and greatly satisfying job when it exists, and thank the people behind the scene who working hard to reach that level of requirements.
So, thank you. 🙂
I’m reaching you today for something that looks simple said like that, but actually isn’t (I guess like most requests people are asking) :
– In fact, I’d like my Homepage post block on my homepage to be fully clickable (like the Big Grid Full 1).
It doesn’t matter if the Homepage post block becomes clickable everywhere else on my website, since I can use the css pointer-events trick to bypass it.
I guess it’s “just” an html copy-paste matter, but what to copy and where to past is my question.
– Lastly, how can I make the Big Grid Full blocks go true fullwidth ? I didn’t find any way in hell to do so yet.
Even with the force content stretching function of WPBakery (I know I should use tagDiv composer, but hey, old habits die hard), every blocks are boxed.
By the way, I use the same template (almost) everywhere : td-post-template-8-box. Is there a causality link ?
Well, I think it’s enough for the day.
Thank you very much in advance for your feedback, and thanks again for everything. 🙂
I would like to change text and background colour on Homepage https://remelife.com/ in Big Grid Full 8 section
See screen https://cl.ly/0p3V1c331B2H (White background and black text instead of white text and blue backgroung)
but cannot find where I can do it
Please help
Hello,
In the latest version of Newspaper (8.7.4) we noticed the header background is not stretching on the Homepage.
We have enabled the option in Template settings. Template settings ⇢ Header ⇢ Background stretch container.
Could you please look into it?
Kind regards
Hi,
Maybe the demo installation was not completed or there was a problem. Note that if you install a demo without content the homepage will not be provided. Only theme panel settings and custom design will be imported
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
If you install it with content, the homepage will be imported and set automatically. Then you can customize it as you wish.
So currently there is no demo installed, what exactly happens when you install the demo you want? Are there errors displayed?
Check the theme system status as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Insufficient resources can cause problems using the theme properly. Let us know.
Thanks
How to add in feed ad in homepage between post list.??
Hi,
Demos can be installed without content as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
This will only import theme panel settings and demo design, a demo homepage will not be included in this case. You can build a homepage with the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
But note that the demo custom design will only apply in the homepage if the same elements are used. Same grids, blocks etc as the demo. Changing themes would require testing, to ensure everything is set properly and works fully.
It is recommended to place the website in maintenance mode when doing this, or creating local clones of the live website and begin there by applying the new theme and testing.
The theme requirement would be these

Theme live demo here, check the Features menu item

Hello,
Congrats on your theme.
Great work.
I’m managing a medium to high news website (~20k users/day).
We are currently using Cloudflare’s cache everything rule.
We have an issue with the theme because if an author checks the frontpage or any category page when its not cached by Cloudflare, Cloudflare caches the admin version.
The admin version of the page shows an edit button near the top left of the image of the article (on hover).
So this is viewable to the visitors as well.
On the other hand the edit button is not visible to the author/admin if the page is “cached by the visitor first”.
We need the same functionality as “POST SETTINGS” > “Ajax view count (keep counting with cache plugins)” > “ENABLE / DISABLE AJAX POST VIEW COUNT” which works great even with Cloudflare’s cache everything rule so the edit button is loaded after page load via AJAX.
If that not possible at the moment please let me know how to disable Edit button all together(PHP).
I’ve tried to hide with CSS (display:none !important;) but that’s hackish and unsecure solution.
Kind Regards
I purchased your theme and wanted to install it on an existing site. I activated your theme and got nothing. Not one post on homepage. I thought I can do a one click install. But now I don’t know how to begin. http://www.gartenwoche.ch
Hey Catalin,
How would I go about using those blocks to make my homepage resemble the homepage layout of the demo?
Under the newsmag theme panel, I do not see an option to edit the homepage with those blocks. When I am on the homepage of my website, I have also tried clicking on “edit with td composer”, however, the page is black when it loads, and I am unable to drag on drop any of the elements to edit the page. Screenshots have been attached.
This is my homepage

My result after I click TD composer

What I believe the result should have been

I created a new post type called “Reviews”. I added the post type to the home page under the “Post Loop Setting”.
http://www.screencast.com/t/whUU7V7DT
All post types show up on the desktop site feed but none of the new post types show up on the mobile homepage feed.
Desktop homepage news feed:
http://www.screencast.com/t/0enap6zP1
The article “Beat Saber Game Review – A Jedi Samurai Rhythm Game” is an article from the new post type.
Mobile homepage news feed:
http://www.screencast.com/t/1nI6ujlwTiP
The article “Beat Saber Game Review – A Jedi Samurai Rhythm Game” is missing from the mobile news feed.
Also, none of the new post types show up on the Author pages.
https://www.vrfitnessinsider.com/author/jayson/
There are only 4 articles for this author page but he has about 10 more articles that were made with the new post type “review”.
Questions to you:
How can I get articles made with the post type “review” to show up on mobile homepage feed and on Author pages?
Hello I am using your Mega Menu feature on one of our homepages. (URL: https://www.stradeco.com)
We’re using a http Basic Auth to protect our wp-admin folder for login etc.
Every Time I try to search something the Basic Auth window from my browser pops up and wants the username and password to authorize.
The same happens then I hover through specific categories in the mega menu.
Can you please help?
Hello caseystubbs,
I have inspected your website but I did not saw any problems with it. The logo is there and working well. I saw that you are using other blocks to your homepage than our demo preview and that’s why the layout is different. Please provide some use useful screenshots with the problem so I can identify them.
Thanks.
Hi,
It will probably take some time before Google will start serving your post pages in AMP format. I see that you enabled the plugin, now Google when it will crawl your website will see this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Zs0BqABHd
After this your posts should be with AMP when accessing users will access them from the Google search page. AMP will not apply to your homepage, that will be the mobile theme if the plugin is active. AMP will apply only to your posts.
So it may take a period of time but eventually your posts will soon display like this in Google search
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xAZfxtntF
Thanks
Now I know what you mean. Instagram works but the username is not displayed on top of the images. I see that you installed the fitness blog demo. As it can be seen in the demo homepage, the Instagram name is not displayed
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_blog_fitness/
It was decided instead to display a custom title “Instagram” and the demo design will remove the username.
So in order to display the name either remove the code that hides it from here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tWGVw6FN
Or enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS
.td-blog-fitness .td_block_instagram .td-instagram-header {
display: block!important;
}
Hello.
First, this is the best theme I have ever used. Both design and the backend. It is so simple to use, configure, and has many options. Thanks.
I am using Big Grid Full 6 on my homepage forevermogul.com and this grid option does not come with a title so I have created a new row for the title. However, the space between the title and the grid is too big. How do I decrease this space.
I don’t see an option here to add an attachment so if you go to my website homepage the section I am talking about is title Fine Living. I need to decrease the space. Thanks.
Cache Tester
Test your cached website by clicking the test button below.
Note: if you use Cloudflare or other transparent front-end proxy service this test may fail.
If you have Cloudflare minification enabled this plugin may detect differences in the pages and report an error.
Try using the development mode of Cloudflare to perform the test. You can disable development mode afterwards if the test succeeds.
Fetching http://www.drillingoilandgas.com/ to prime cache: OK (0.html)
Fetching first copy of http://www.drillingoilandgas.com/: OK (1.html)
Fetching second copy of http://www.drillingoilandgas.com/: OK (2.html)
Page 1: 200 (OK)
Page 2: 200 (OK)
The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!
Things you can do:
Load your homepage in a logged out browser, check the timestamp at the end of the html source. Load the page again and compare the timestamp. Caching is working if the timestamps match.
Enable logging on the Debug page here. That should help you track down the problem.
You should check Page 1 and Page 2 above for errors. Your local server configuration may not allow your website to access itself.
Greetings everyone,
I recently switched the template on my website (financeandmarkets.com) from the magazine template to the default template to of course include on settings and not the demo content.
After I made the switch however, my site does not resemble the demo and still resembles the old layout just with different colors and my logo missing.
This is the layout that I am going for:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/homepage-clean/
And this is what I now have:
https://financeandmarkets.com/
I realize that I needed to look under the theme panel after making the switch, however, after looking under layout settings -> categories, all the proper options that reflect the demo seem to already be selected.
You may have noticed that my logo is now completely gone as well. I suspect that something is overriding the new template from taking effect, but I can not be positive.
Any insight would be much appreciated, thank you!
Hi Guys, we’ve had a few issues where posts are being omitted on pages even when they don’t appear twice on pages with ‘Unique Articles’ enabled. For example on out homepage we have a big grid at the top which includes all ‘news’ categories and then a block further down the page which is a completely different category altogether but is still having articles omitted for no apparent reasons? Is there anyway to ‘exclude’ a block from the unique articles process?
Thanks
Matt
So by installing and activating the latest multi-purpose plugin from the latest theme version, your homepage displays shortcodes.
That would not be possible, the multi-purpose shortcodes will be displayed as elements if the tagDiv composer and multi-purpose plugin are active.
The latest version of these plugins is this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/lcFvI1FxYjr
These work properly and we made multiple tests with them. Maybe in your case there is a plugin conflict. Deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, then check again.
If there is a problem using these plugins properly, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as FTP and cPanel if possible. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Hello brenbrinkman,
Ensure that your homepage has been made with TD Composer and not with Visual Composer because can appears some errors in this case. Notice that we do not recommend to use both page builder at the same time because might appears some conflicts.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
