Hi, When I upload the Newspaper theme folder via or unzip the zipped version which I have uploaded with cpanel file manager, the theme is detected but cannot be activated and trying to move off the homepage results in an error 500 due to ‘Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error’. When I delete the theme folder the site becomes functional again, albeit without the theme.

I had the same problem with the facebook counter set up on the homepage, but when i went into the theme panel and set up the ‘social networks’ section, the counter started working fine.
However, my google+ counter is still showing zero, even after clearing the cache etc., any one know why this is happening?

WordPress does not allow to use a category page as homepage. This is not an option controlled by the theme and to achieve this you will need to modify the code. The category page it’s generated by a loop from the code and the theme don’t have any shortcodes from its content, si it cannot be used in Visual Composer.
Unfortunately I can’t provide a solution now as this is a complex task which require many customization in theme’s files. The time doesn’t allow us to offer custom modifications so if you need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer to do this for you.

On the live preview of the newspaper theme, on the menu, the assigned buttons for FEATURES & HOMEPAGES do not take you anywhere when you click on them. Instead, you have to chose a certain category from the drop down menu.
The buttons for Gadgets and Lifestyle do take you to the actual page for that category.
I would like to know how to make the first option please. How do you make the buttons so they do not take you anywhere – instead you have to choose a category from drop down menu.

The simplest way you can do it is to create a 301 redirect in your htaccess file and simply redirect one link to another so both those links will go to your homepage.

I use a CDN on my website. All settings CDN, Plugin W3TC, Server, Cloudflare is correct. But why all the pictures post does not appear? on the homepage and post articles.

Some times my site only shows header. All the items below header just shows blank page. Only header shows up. It only happens to the homepage. Other pages, categories works fine. I am using w3total cache. Is there any caching issue or its a theme problem? Because when I use to change theme everything works fine. I happened 3 times till now. Today also this problem happened and when i slightly modified the homepage and added a row then everything worked fine. But I dont know why this is happening. The site we are talking is a news site and we cannot afford just to go blank. Please assist.

If you mean the meta TITLE and DESCRIPTION tags … those are best done using a plugin like YOAST SEO, as recommended in the docs.
For posts, the description tag is usually picked up from the excerpt. For pages, simply put something in the excerpt box. For the home page, you need to use a plugin like Yoast to “insert” and customize that for your static page.
YOAST SEO really best solution to manage all the meta data for posts, pages, homepage, categories, etc.

This is the simplest solution of recreating the travel demo homepage on another demo. This cannot be done without the custom classes used by this demo.
Please follow these simple steps to recreate the travel demo homepage with another demo installed:
